ThunderCats Fan Comic?

Hello! Gold Lion has invited me to this project and I’ll try to contribute whatever I can with covers and/or character designs. I can also help with designing backgrounds, structures, and other story elements that are not characters. I don’t have any experience with comics so I’m afraid I won’t be able to help with that. As for coloring, I’m not sure I can commit because I don’t get a lot of free time these days.

Anyway, I’ve read through most of the comments and it looks like everyone has some great ideas! Thumbs up to the writers! I’d love to see where this fan comic project goes.

I agree that we should use live chat, but I feel that it’s still too soon at this stage to really need it. As of now we’re still thinking of broad concepts and of the things we would like to do. We need to wait for those interviews for more info so that we can be loyal to the original crew’s vision. I’ve thought of a lot of story related things I think are cool, but I still don’t know things like what the blue stone does or how season 2 is supposed to end, and there is still the chance we could get a second season which would mean we wouldn’t need to do this comic anyway. Right now, we just need to be patient and use our time to thing of as many cool ideas as we can and plan ahead for when the time does come that we’re ready to do some real work. Then I’ll be ready to use live chat.

But that isn’t to say that we shouldn’t use it at all now if we want to. I’ll try to get connected some time today. Since I do plan on doing live chat I’ll make sure I’m able to use it.

Now THIS is a smart guy and THIS is what i want to read. As said numerous times i do have a place for everyone to join as i host a server for speaking and typing so when the time is due just connact me and i shall set it up.

EDIT: Not saying you others are dumb.

Hey Piku, good to see you here

I posted in the Social Group thread, but I thought I might repost here for Piku to see it too.

I’ve mentioned a monkey girl in the the other thread. I was thinking that Monkey society could be sort of based on Asian cultures, referencing Sun Wukong in a lot of ways. Less Chinese and Japanese though and more South East Asian, at least where Addicus is from. A lot of bamboo forests and thick, muggy jungles. The monkeys mostly stay there and are well hidden, so they don’t see the rest of Third Earth as much.

I also mentioned combining Hachiman and Snowman of Hook Mountain into one character and having him be an ape, alluding to him being a yeti or Sasquatch. I have a good idea for what he would look like too, having Hachiman’s big bushy sideburns, but with brown hair like Snowman, with maybe some grey in there. A hairstyle a bit like Zhoa or Iroh from avatar. His armor could be like white samurai armor covered in ice and furs.

wow…this character is probably gonna be one of my favorites to draw.

As for the live chat thing Rizefall mentioned. I got it uploaded on the main computer here at home, but I’m not entirely sure if it will work in a “chatroom” or not.

Would it be weird if we featured an imperial cult in the webcomic? By imperial cult, I mean a cult dedicated to the royal family of Thundera, i.e. Lion-O’s family.
