Just making a side note here, I definitely don’t like the Panthro’s beard and scars. His appearance in the flashback is much better than the current one. Nostalgic remnants! lol

Well I believe they’re doing Panthro with the sideburns just to introduce and reemphisize the fact that he is older than the rest of the Tcats in this series.
I’m pretty sure they have razors on Thundera so Panthro could still decide to clean up later on and go back to his classic look. Remember he’s been out on his own for many years by now so he kinda would end up looking like a bit of a scraggly hermit. 
But is Thunderian actually the species name? I’ve always just taken “Thunderian” to mean native of Thundeara.

That is a very interesting question. That, and it made me laugh. Really though, I think I remember Claudius saying something like “fight like cats”. I know its not so literal but eh.

I was thinking the same of you, but I’m afraid they will maintain that look for a too long period.
I think that’s overthinking it. 
Whose to say that other species don’t call it something different? Just a thought. In the OS, they found thundrillium and thundranium both on Third Earth. They never called it anything different, but we knew about it through the Cats talking about it. We never heard other species refer to it, so if they knew of it’s existance, it could have been called something different by them. Likewise in the new series.

We did actually Other species on Third Earth knew Thundranium as ‘Fire Rocks’
That’s right, I forgot about that. As a kid, I accepted the uses of thundrillium and thundranium without question. As an adult, I wonder about the biology of how it affects them the way it does. Though I suppose I would also need to question the same thing regarding Superman.

No, thundrillium wasn’t gold. Panthro had a bunch of Thundrillium but he had to sort out this other metal that he called “junk” because he found no use for it. He said the locals called that “junk” gold. Cheetara thought it looked pretty though and kept some as a necklace. Later in the episode when Lion-O needed to reforge the Sword of Omens, the creature thing needed gold to warm himself back up. But Panthro very clearly distinguished the difference between thundrillium and gold.
Well I did say I was probably wrong. lol been a while since I watched that episode.
I thought of gold at first but then I remembered that episode.
The picture of young Tygra and Lion-O, you would think their clothes wouldn’t look that much like their clothes now. I would rather see them wearing very different looking clothes. Their royalty, they should have a good sized wardrobe.

We get Panthro in a fight with Grune…
And we get an appearance from THE DRILLER?!?!?!

I know it’s asking a lot but I think it would be great to see kitten Cheetara in a flashback too

Good old Atomic number 79-- Gold has properties that other elements don’t have and is used in tech all the time. It’s conductivity and corrosive resistance are good examples on why we use it. Gold has antimicrobial properties and makes a good infrared radation shields too.
Gold being complete junk is right up there with Tcats out in space without space suits and jamming ships through blackholes.
Ahem… Sorry. The science major had to speak up on that one.
I am LOVING the look of this episode… the Driller was a nice surprise, in what should be a very cool classic episode. I second all of the asks for a toy!
Cheeky ask - do you know if we can we get these teaser images any bigger? The ones from last week were the perfect size.
