In all honesty, my first thought was that Toolkit reminded me of Sly Cooper. A good character who happens to steal.
I like that the Doberman isn’t a complete a-hole, he was bitter and felt betrayed. The fact that he set them free on the basis of the crowd is a good subversion. Because if handled with different writers, they’d be a-holes through and throghout.
Dying can do that to a guy, helps put things into perspective. As far as Lion-O taking the beating he’s trying to prove a point: That he would not only never intentionally hurt another cat, but he also has enough faith in his own people to trust them with his life. It also fits in with the subtle messianic theme they have going on with Lion-O. He’s not just letting her beat him up, he’s taking all her pain and anger onto himself so she can let go of it.
Or maybe he’s not afraid of death anymore? 
My problem is with the messianic theme. He’s the king yes, he has to be compassionate towards his subjects, true, but he is NOT Jaga the wise. He’s just a 17 year old. :rolleyes:
You know why people love Tygra more? They can relate to him from their real life. He has flaws, but is lovable despite the flaws (or because of them). 
All of Lion-O’s actions in the previous episodes increase respect and sympathy towards him (such a huge burden in young age and all), bit it’s still hard to relate to him in the same way one can with Tygra.
…what I love about Lion-O is that he’s got this Arthurian-quality of keeping his eye on the bigger picture.
PUMYRA: “..and when we get into that arena.. BAM!! To the Moon Lion O…TO THE MOON!!”
I just keep watching that scene in their cells over and over again..this is some great voice acting.
I thought this episode was pretty good. I didn’t know Pumyra was going to kick so much butt lol! I thought the subplot with the thunderkittens was meh. I do agree with other posts saying it was kind of a waste of time. I thought they could of done a lot better job by explaining Pumyra’s back story. However, I did like Tookit.
I did’nt really get why people on other fan sites and forums said Pumyra was flirting with Lion-o or they had romanic moment at the end. She was just bandaging Lion-o. I guess some fans get too over dramatic with a sample scene. But Lion-o and Pumyra might have chance.
It’s pretty clear that Toonkit’s special skill will be used as part of the rescue effort in mount plundar..That’s their way for excusing cutting really great dramatic moments with uninteresting kitten adventures…seriously it’s like when adults are trying to have a really important conversation and the kids keep interrupting..
That’s a good way of putting it lol. And Tookit’s skill might be a possibility. I can’t wait for the next episode. I just hope the hiatus isn’t going to be four months long like the last time.
Me too! Surprisingly, the "I am your King " line didn’t bug me. Usually it bugs the living heck out of me.
In my headcannon, he was subjected to a lot more hissing and growling. She took multiple digs at him and the poor guy is just at his wits end. That’s when we get the : " You’re a piece a work you know."
FAR too early! The writers said right at the start that over the course of the season you will see slight changes in the characters as they age, and we can. They are subtle, but there. I think the second season will continue this subtle trend.

I think that makes a lot of sense. I’d like to see them establish the colony at the tower of omens. It would also see a lot of development with Liono dealing with actually being the king and having to lead a whole society, not just a small group, and also deal with him trying to make peace with other races.

From what iv read of the spoilers I think that b story was a set up for the episode ‘the forever bag’ (I think I’m remembering that right), where the kittens and snarf go to dog city to catch a thief.
Also I agree, really loving pumyra! I think the general consensus is major thumbs up! The writers and artists did a fantastic job!
I like her voice and I bet she is in a new outfit next episode. Hopefully Bengali and/or Lynx-o in the next episode and Vultureman is the villain.
Probably because his character development allows him to say that line now without sounding like a spoiled child, and yeah, she probably did have a lot more words for him that we didn’t get to hear because they unfortunately can’t just show everything due to time constraints.
Not to mention that he was trying to break her out and she basically called the guards on him, no matter how angry she is with him that was just dumb (and kind of reminds me of some of the stuff Lion-O pulled earlier in the season). I felt like his line “You’re a real piece of work” was directed not only at her, but partially at himself.
You know, if Lion-O needed to sneak in and free Pumyra without alerting anyone, why couldn’t he have just sent in Tygra? He can turn invisible, and Pumyra may not have reacted as strongly to him.
Because Lion-O wouldn’t be getting screen time if they did that. That’s pretty much it.
Or he was the only one willing to do it.

Well in here one can spin the theory that the writers are intending these two to get together…the character Lion O has a strong urge to save her…not only out of the principle that no cat should be a slave and to begin displaying himself as a king to his group and others .. but deep down he could also be driven by a more primitive nature.. to save her in order to impress her and thus possibly have her as a love interest.
