There are some folks who think Pumyra will have to go through her own set of trials if she wants to see redemption but I don’t think that’s how it’s going to work. More likely if they decide to revisit the concept it would be about Lion-O going into the Astal Plane in an attempt to save Pumyra’s soul (because that’s what he does). He would probably have to fight through three levels of the walls she’s built up around herself with them taking the form of significant areas in her life just like the Trials were set in significant areas in Lion-O’s. The first would be the Pit where he might have to face down and defeat Gormax, Dobo, and other Pit fighters. The second would be Mount Plundarr where the challenge is Ratar-O and his army of slavers, and the last would be the rubble she was buried under after the fall of Thundera. He would not only have to dig her out, but convince her that she deserves a second chance.
Another huge part would be empathy, now that he knows how she died he can relate to her much better. He knows what it’s like to die alone, buried alive.
But I don’t think this is going to be immediate. He’s going to be a little bitter for awhile. He’s going to be angry, not only at her but at himself for failing not only to save her but for not seeing her betrayal coming. I don’t think it will affect his performance as leader as badly as the fallout of “Between Brothers” did because he’s learned a lot since then and doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice. But he’s going to have it spelled out for his that Pumyra can even be saved before he decides to do so.
That is a very interesting theory and one I wouldn’t have ever thought of. But I don’t see him going thought Trials to try and save her soul. I see him fighting ASOE in the Astal Plane to try and save her. And if he defeats them then only in the real world I see the last part happening.
I’d rather have her fight her own battles. Him saving her is just gonna irritate me. She can fight on her own, and win on her own. It would give her a lot of growth and development. Having Tygra get Cheetara in the Clerics and save her with the flower (DN’s words, not mine) was enough of a “Damsel in Distress/Hero saves the Girl” moment for me. I’d rather have her save herself for herself to earn another chance at life, than want to earn it so she can date Lion-o. :mad: They need to show a woman in this series who can fight on her own and save her own *** than having a man save her every time she has a problem. It’s not romantic, it’s sexist.
As long as she does it herself for herself i won’t mind. I’m just so tired of seeing guys saving girls all the time. It’s like the writers/directors think us women are weak. :mad:
Maybe Panthro’s arms have a mind of their own LOL I can totally see that crazy idea happening. A pair of panther arms attaching themselves onto Lion-O’s body, turning him into a temporary Cat version of Vishnu the Hindu Preserver of the Universe.
Hmmm, why don’t you look up this girl: Hayley Westenra. She’s a classical-crossover singer and her songs pure heaven. And this violinist: Sergey Malov. The pieces he plays are wonderful too.
Okay, this just came to mind. it’s not a very plausible theory, but I think it would be great if Pumyra did change to the cats’ side, but didn’t change her personality. She could just direct all the hate and vengeance towards Mumm-Ra. I’m talking 100% “He’s gonna die” sort of vibe, more so than when she was “on the cats’ side” originally. Maybe some revelation that Mumm-Ra is the one who caused the fall will lead her to this. Also, I think she should realize this all on her own and then join the cats out of nowhere. It would provide for an extremely interesting plot.
Sounds interesting…since this is the Pumyra thread, would it be alright to post the songs i have in mind for her playlist to see how you all like it? Warning though, some of the pieces are really long.
I wonder what the last episode did to fan interest in Pumyra. I’m not seeing any mumm-ra X pumyra or “mumyra” threads popping up here, why? Now that is something to discuss
