Oh yeah, I double checked it was growling (right before rushing to kick that lil mouse’s butt). But yeah, pumas neither growl nor roar like a lion would. But the sound she makes right after is legitimate. 
She had some throaty growl/semi-roar when she saw the cat being beaten.
Even the voice actress who plays her has that same low, subtle throaty quality to her voice a puma has.
I used to think the same thing about pumas until I actually heard them.

But I like the voice actress’ work on Pumyra.
Also very, very faint under the squawk (don’t know how else to describe it lol) you hear kind of a purring sound.
Edit: yeah and you can hear the purr louder a little later. Maybe her “growl” was just an angry purr! lol
I do to. She does give Pumyra a cool voice.
Where is Pumyra’s red jewel? I have yet to find it. I tend to be a bit blind but still, I’ve looked through several pictures.
Also, if she doesn’t have one, maybe she’ll get a new outfit. Just thought I’d bring this up.
I liked it and there was an Ocelot segment thrown in there. 
Around her neck mate? I see something there. Not sure what else it could be.
Looked like just a stone to me. shrugs
Maybe Lion-O gives one to her in an upcoming episode since she’s now part of the team.

Pumyra was very well characterized this episode.
I think she reverted a bit. Last episode she seemed to have calmed down on blaming Lion-O for everything, but she was kinda a brat this episode.
Not really, she admitted there was room for mercy in their struggle, but she also refused responsibility for getting them captured and put the whole thing on Lion-O. Admitting someone has a point is not the same as apologizing for being a jerk to them even after they continually fight to support you.

So, I’m thinking Pumyra is a permanent addition. That’s great.
I think she has the makings of a great Queen
I think she does.
And how poetic would that be for her character story…from slave to Queen of the Thundercats. I love it.
