This is the same Tygra with excellent aim upon first picking up a gun. And its quite obvious he has sort of a big ego. So when he says not to rush genius and ends up screwing it up, I chalk it up to not having enough experience with tech but wanting to learn. Such a trivial thing to get hung up on.

One thing I liked, and I don’t think anyone mentioned yet, is the pacing of this episode. It actually didn’t feel rushed at all to me.
Was it ego or simply a move to keep Pathro from breathing down his neck?
I kind of took it as a joking remark to hint to Pathro to back off a little. It really didn’t sound like to me Tygra was serious when he said it.
HillsHollow is referring to the sword fight that young Lion-O and Tygra were having in one of Panthro’s flashbacks. Tygra was fighting almost completely on the defensive, darting and flipping, while Lion-O was always offensively going at him. Tygra didn’t go on the offensive until Grune egged him on. Apparently, Lion-O never learned differently in all that time; even when he fought Claudus on the defensive, he was pretty rigid–always blocking, never avoiding.
I enjoyed the Ep. The Chat was great… Except for one part and I am not trying to start anything I just want to comment on what I observed. Rize you may have been having a conversation with someone but when you started using the questionable language and put the anger or intensity into the Conversation is what really turned allot of us off. not only to your point but to your entire attitude. We may be adults but we don’t have to use “Adult” language to make our points. Ok I am done with this now.
I too wish they stretched out these arcs over a couple episodes but they really don’t have that luxury right now. I will be Jonesing till the next episode In 6 WEEKS however they did say the DVD’s of the first 8 episodes will be out in Oct. Yeah!!!

I liked the scene of Panthro and Tygra in the Thundertank; it reminded me of the OS and how those two were usually together in the Thudertank (especially in the first eps before Lin-o got the front seat next to Pantrho) or building stuff.
Also, when Lion-o entered the city, again it reminded me of SW… it has a Mos Eisley cantina from A New Hope, or even a Mos Eisley market in The Phantom Menace. Even when Lion-o tried to pay with Thunderian coins, it was too Watto and QuiGon Jinn dialogue.
And after watching the ep, I can now say the guy that tried before Lion-o was definitely Hachiman-inspired.
Oh, and of course, “whiskers”…

My best guess is that the spell on the sword is specific to Mumm-Ra alone.
I actually liked this episode. I think the Drifter character really took the annoyance factor out of this being another Lion-O episode. I know that this arc is about Lion-O stepping into his role as King, but I still would like to see the other characters get their due first before Lion-O gets consecutive episodes all by himself.
The Drifter was a great character. He had as much a lesson to learn as Lion-O did. That simply giving up and letting the world toss you around was not a wise path to follow. Giving the Duelist’s swords back is likely his personal penance for standing by for so long and letting the Duelist take advantage of other swordsmen.
I hope he appears again in a future episode. Maybe he’ll have to fix the Sword of Omens (sorry Bengali!).
As for Tygra, I think Panthro has taken him under his wing off camera and is teaching him about the tank. Maybe Tygra is showing a curiosity for such things (he loves the gun after all) while Lion-O is too distracted by his mission. I think the ‘genius’ line was just to get Panthro to lay off him while he worked.
Another thing I noticed (sorry if it has already been said), is that the handle of one of the swords the duellist carried upon his back was very similar (if not the same) to the handle of the Sword of Plun-Darr from the OS.
And did anyone else get an OS “Excalibur” vibe in this episode?
Also, for those of you who have been wondering who Jim Meskimen voiced, Dan said he was voicing the Dog guy with the huge sword (the first one that you see striking the stone). Though I’m sure he’ll voice other characters as well.
I thought it was funny when he tried to connect the Book to the Thundertank. I guess he thought it would make it easier to track down the Stones of Power.
I have one silly complain about the episode. Lion-o competed in the rock thing, fought the duellist, waited for the drifter to ak him a new sword (which took a while it seems) and got back the SoO, all that in one day? Not to say only one morning as night never came.
We’re about mid-Sept.
So two weeks pushes us back to Oct. Another four puts us back to the end of Oct. Give or take.
They are planning on starting new episodes right around the holidays in the last week of Oct early Nov?
Probably to coincide with the release of the DVD. 
One season is 26 episodes right? I imagine the hiatus starts after episode 13.

I’m hoping they are planning on showing repeats in it’s slot since they’re promoting the T-cats in the Friday night block.
