I’m not the one randomly calling people out by name when they haven’t posted on a thread in like five pages because they had the temerity to gasp REPLY TO THEM!1 ON A MESSAGEBOARD!
So…any expectations for stuff between Pumyra and Lion-O for next week’s episode?
Maybe, they will have a couple of scenes with Pumyra paying more attention to Lion-o and them talking more about the relationship. It seems they are trying to speed up their relationship more than Tygra and Cheetara.
Well, Tygra and Cheetara’s relationship was built up over years, just in the background, mostly. Since Lion-O and Pumyra have attraction to each other, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t move faster.
I’m hoping they just continue from where they left off.
It seemed that in the end with that shared look after Ponzi’s wink that Pumyra is definitely aware that she’s being ~courted~. So maybe just some hints that they’re still working that out. I suspect the episode will mostly be plot-focused.
I guess I am more used to seeing main characters’ relationships with another character to take about a season or the whole series to devlope.
It’s becoming more common to see them develop in a few episodes in shows. Take Sokka and Princess Yue in Avatar: The Last Airbender. They developed that relationship in a relatively short amount of time, but it seemed natural. Sokka wasn’t the main character but still my point stands. I think the handling of Lion-O/Pumyra, while fast-paced, is quite good.
I’m not disagreeing with you in any way. My favorite TV show ever (Teen Titans) took all 5 seasons and a movie before we knew the main character (kinda) was in an official relationship. I was shocked when Tygra and Cheetara hooked up after such a short time but I got used to it (and enjoyed it).
I just hope the whole romance in thundercats doesn’t start to change into a soap oprea. Where the realtionships keeps going up and down. I have herd people saying it would be awesome to see cheetara to get of jealous Pumyra. I really think if that were to happen it would be interesting, but I would hate Cheetara if she did that. Just because I don’t think it would fit with her personality.
I don’t either. I think it’s stupid. I could see her getting protective of Lion_O because of her skepticism against Pumyra, but she shouldn’t be with anyone but Tygra in my opinion.
Thought I’d share this here too…since it’s only appropriate..cause Romance leads to well ..you know.. and then 9 Thundermonths later, SURPRISE!! Thunderkittens!

I made some adjustments to the cheetara looking one..since their cubs are supposed to be boys…and he was looking a bit to Wilykit with that pony tail.

Well, we didn’t get any relationship development this week. I’m glad they aren’t taking it too fast, but I would have liked to see them at least interact.
Like I said, it was a “Guys Night Out” episode. Besides, with the theme of Technology vs. Nature it makes sense to have the three most technologically adept cats go along (well, that and Lion-O is the main character). Although, as a guy I’m willing to admit there is a sexist undertone that it’s the guys that get to play with all the big, shiny, powerful technology and the girls are either along for the ride or left out entirely.
Haha yeah. Cheetara seemed pretty skeptical of tech and I doubt Pumyra even knows how much of it exists.
Couldn’t help but chuckle a bit when Tygra says “..Cheetara and the Kids..”..especially after discussing their real/comicbook kids.
