Yes, Lion-O is comfortable enough in his own skin that he doesn’t feel threatened or emasculated by Pumyra’s more aggressive personality.
That’s probably why she likes him.

Personally I think Tygra and Lion-O are a lot like Han Solo and Luke Skywalker.
Tygra/Han the snarky, rough around the edges charmer.
Lion-O/Luke the naive, innocent, secret powerhouse that’s destined to save the world.
Though…Pumyra is probably more like Leia than Cheetara is…

She criticized him taking issue with Tygra’s constantly complaining
She criticized him when he wanted to “keep up the pressure” in New Alliances

I’m going to have to disagree with you on the whole Cheetara doesn’t criticize Lion-O much.
Well, Pumyra has criticized him more, but at least she’s honest.
Me as well. I saw that Lion-O and Cheetara had an emotional and spiritual connection developing. Afterall, Lion-O was the more open to her faith. Heck, Tygra spent an entire episode mocking her faith.
I see Tygra’s relationshiop with Cheetara as defined more by physical interactions than any kind of emotional or spiritual connections.
I think their emotional attraction has built up over time. They did have some because of the whole flower thing, but now it seems they have actually become a couple and are really close.
“Love at first sight” is usually based on physical appearance so yeah, the moment he saw Cheetara, it’s perfectly understandable that his voice would crack and his eyes go wide.
As the two grew closer over the episodes, there were signs that Lion-O was enjoying Cheetara’s company for more than just her looks.
With Pumyra, I’d say Lion-O is being more cautious so as not to have a repeat of Cheetara - as Tygra put it in the beginning of RfD “shooting him down.”
I found that his inital physical reaction to Pumyra was almost the same as his initial reaction to Cheetara.
Also, there are those who would describe “fierce” and “passionate” as characteristics of beauty.
Still, I like that this relationship is actuall getting flashed out and not pieced together in a rush like T/C.
As much as I’d still like to see L/C, I’m warming up to L/P. Afterall, silver is almost as good as gold.

Love is love but rarely if ever does purely physical love ever last.
And not everyone agrees that Lion-O’s attraction to Cheetara was purely physical.

He didn’t mock it. He just doesn’t put stock into that kind of stuff. He didn’t tease her about believing in the curse. She’s free to believe in what she wants, and so is he.
Just like Cheetara didn’t put any faith in technology in the premier.Tygra feels like the superstitious stuff is a bunch of bologna, Cheetara felt the same way about technology.
I never saw anything deep as far as Lion-O and Cheetara. He would blush when she was close to him, but other than his obvious physical attraction we have nothing else to support a romantic partnership. It’s a big contrast to the one he has with Pumyra. He’s fallen for the whole package, not just the superficial stuff. “She lives with such passion and strength, I’ve never met anyone like her”. He’s never said anything about why he was drawn to Cheetara. Nothing to suggest he knows her on a deeper level.
Not only that, but he’s the only one whose seen the softer side of her personality. When people hide parts of who they are , it’s because they’re are not comfortable with themselves and or the people around them. It’s telling that she feels safe enough to show that part of her character with Lion-O.
Same thing was CheeTygra. She likes Tygra because she knows deep down that he is a good person. She fell for him because he showed her kindness in a very dark period of her life. So even though we mostly get jerk snark Tygra, Cheetara was able to see the other side of him. To her, he is not just the Prince of Snark. He’s the boy who helped her accomplish her dreams.
We’re gonna have to agree to disagree on the emotional build up.
I will agree that the initial giving of the flower could have established an emotional attraction but the fact is, there is nothing ever shown to sustain that attraction. (Not to start any kind of bad noise but those “stuff happens that the viewers aren’t shown” and “the flower left such a mark it stuck” excuses I read on FB never sat well with me)
I will admit they look close but again, it’s a purely physical closeness.
Consider CoR. Tygra and Cheetara could have deepend their relationship by having Tygra embrace her faith but instead, he mocks it the entire time. Not to mention, the extent of their converstaions outside of the curse and her faith pretty much dealt with the physical aspects of the couple.
And in this last episode, Tygra does kind of take a job at Cheetara when he says the in pursuing Pumyra, Lion-O is setting himself up to be shot down.
To me, if there was more than a physical connection between the two, those kind of comments wouldn’t be made.
Frankly, I’m kind of wondering about Tygra; he didn’t get lovey with any of the female characters, just the guys…

I saw nowhere that Tygra mocked Cheetara’s faith. He didn’t believe there was a curse, and said as much, but he didn’t once make fun of her for believing in one.
In other words, mockery does not equal skepticism.
You see it a certain way and I see it another. I believe you have been spoken to about perceptions and how they vary from person to person yes?
We’ll just leave it at that.
So now I ship Cheetygra and Limyra! What exactly are we calling it now? I just made that silly name up!
Cheetygra works, but Pumyion-O is better than Limyra.
I guess its Cheetygra in some places Tychee in others sort of like the soda/pop debate by area preference. Pumyion-O? That’ll take some getting used to for my tongue.
