Even though OS Pumyra got less attention, NS Pumyra will be sure to turn heads.

Posted this a while ago in another thread..but I thought i would share it on this thread too…i am proud to say that i predicted (sorta) the idea of a childless king Claudius and queen Liona (thats my name for her)..well enjoy my awful fan fic summary or whatever the heck it is…lol.
I would like to see Pumyra be a descendant of Panthera and Leo. In my fantasy fanfic ( that i will never write lol) panthera and Leo were indeed lovers during the rebellion against Mummra…but their passion for one another couldn’t survive Leo’s ascension to power as king of thundera..A rift is formed between them and Panthera leaves forming a clan of her own taking their child (pumyras ancestors) with her. Leo moves on and marries another ( LionOs ancestors).
With that setting that would make Pumyra an ancient but still legitimate claimant to the throne of Thundera.
In my story King Claudius and his Queen (Liona) are childless for many years until the adoption of their beloved son Tygra. The king declares Tygra his heir..this causes outrage by some…and pretenders to the crown start popping out..including Pumyra’s father (name unknown) leader of the mountain lion clans. The chaos however is quelled when to everyones surprise Lion O is born.
While Thundera rests easy with a legitimate blood heir to the throne, the rifts have already been made between some of these clans and the King. Pumyras father not wanting to be out of the kings favor and protection (from the Canine enemy).. makes peace with Claudius. During this meeting between the two leaders Jaga forsees that Thunderas future will be heavily determined by these two families..and that through their children.. Thundera would see a great golden age …and with his urging.. the two leaders come to an agreemant that when they are of age, LionO and Pumyra are to be married, as a symbol of unity and freindship between the two ancient families…and in hopes that jagas vision would come to pass.
LionO and Pumyra are not told of their betrothal…Tygra and cheetara are also out of the loop. The only thundercat that remains alive who knows of this arrangement is Panthro…a descendant of Panthera himself. Pumyra grows up believing her status as a “princess”..she is an expert huntress and warrior as all mountain lionesses have been sine the days of Panthera. She is very proud of her upbringing and has a code of Honor that she lives by.
During the fall of Thundera, Pumyra’s clan was viciously attacked by the Dogs who are allies with Mummra..The dogs are the Mountain Lions mortal enemies..and are constantly at war with each other over territory…Pumyra manages to survive the attack but is captured by the dogs. She is taunted by the dogs ..and forced to fight gladatorial battles to entertain the masses…She soon earns a reputation as a ferocious fighter..they call her simply “the mountain warrior”. During her capture she learns that Claudius is dead and that Thundera has fallen…Thinking that Thundera has no living ruler…Pumyra now vows to bring honor to her clan and to the remaining cats of thundera..by destroying Mummra, rebuilding thundera .and claiming the throne for herself. During one of her attempts to escape…Pumyra encounters LionO in the brink of death..and saves him from drowning and revives him…but before LionO comes fully conscious, The dogs could be heard approaching and Pumyra runs off. LionO is only left with a blurred memory of his rescuer..only recalling that she had beautiful eyes…he is smitten with this fantasy image of her..eventally sharing the story with his brother and friends after they reunite. The fantasy doesnt last long though when the two cats finally meet face to face..Liono rescues Pumyra from the dogs. He reveals himself as LionO king of Thundera…and instead of recieving her gratitude (kiss perhaps)..he gets a punch in the face. She challenges Liono calling him a weak ruler…and that she is the better cat to rule thundera. LionO laughs off her challenge calling her claim to the throne as an ancient one. Tygra tells her that if she should kill LionO..she would have to deal with him next as he would be king. Pumyra insults Tygra calling him a pretend brother of LionO. Its safe to say she gets on everyones bad side…but Panthro, seeing this chance encounter between the two future rulers as “fate”..manages to interject and stop the fight…Panthro convinces the group to let Pumyra join them for the time being…hoping that she will come around and help them fight Mummra…I can go on..but I wont lol…Thoughts?? yeah i know ..this will never happen in CN lol!!
What is it about Thundercats fans and all the love between all characters? T_T
Hey!!! This is Shakespearean work here lol!! Well at least it ain’t twilight !!! That’s all I have to say. Love stories between characters adds to the drama and story…otherwise you get shows like the OS with characters that just didn’t feel real/organic.
So Pumyra will be first unless the episode with Wily Kit and Kat some one could show up.
Mousecat I for one was very interested in your theories you put out in a storybook fashion, keep em coming, I’m not a fan of the idea of a second romance but I’m still a big fan of sharing ideas.

****It is at this time that the thundercats passing through the dog clan encounter Pumyra in THE PIT. Not wanting to leave any cat behind LionO attempts to free the mountain warrior.
After a life threatening escape, fighting side by side with the cats, the warrior finally reveals herself to be “Lady” Pumyra! ( this is a surprise cats! Pumyra’s story arc would basically be learning to not be a loner…and to learn to trust and accept the help/friendship of others…and maybe even LOVE ( oh yeah barf away no romos). Her character is initially fueled by revenge for the death of her people..and the suffering she has gone through under the imprisonment of the dogs… in the series we will see this change as she makes friends and new relationships…*****

I take it you are new to thundercats? Didn’t you watch the OS? If not I REALLY recommend it!
And its a lynx, a puma and a BENGAL tiger. Hence Bengali. And a hyena isn’t a cat.
I have the old show on Dvd and Hyenas are related to cats. Plus Puma are congar. Look it up at wikipedia.
Actually, Hyenas are neither cats nor dogs. They belong to their own family, the Hyaenidae, which also includes the aardwolf. They ARE, however, more closely RELATED to Felines than Canines. This does NOT make them Cats though. 
Ah the great font of factual knowledge wikipedia. Pumyra is a Puma, clue is in the name. And Hyenas are NOT cats, however tenuous the biological relation.

Biology aside…It would be interesting to see hyenas in the series…since hyenas and lions don’t necessarily have a great relationship in the wild…not a bad idea…I think i would draw the line at horses and pigs…too damn wierd lol.

The Puma is known by many names. Puma, Mountain Lion, Panther, and Cougar. All of these have been associated with this one cat.
Seeing as her name is Pumyra, it looks like the writers are going with Puma , instead of one of the other names.
