I’m not drowning in my sorrows just yet, but I’m not jumping for joy either. As of now, we’re in some sort of production limbo. I hope the double in viewers has given the network the courage to promote it more which should help more toys sell.
I just feel like this show deserves a full story, and that the ending we’ll get at #26 wont feel like a proper send off.

The toys look cool, but I can’t justify the costs right now. That might change if they make a Pumyra figure. Actually I’m afraid that if I start with her I’ll have to get Lion-O, the Tygra, then Cheerara, and I’ll never stop. It already happened with Transformers and DC Universe Classics.
Exactly! Plus everyone has to remember that the voice actors have all had previous other contracts and acting jobs to fulfill before they can come back and do some more Thundercats! The writers are taking this time to work on the next season, that is all.

Are you kidding? NOW is the time to get them! Whilst the sales are on! I take it you are in the USA? Think yourself lucky my friend, the toys there are a fraction of the price they are here in the UK! I bought them all before they went on sale (with the exception of the tower which I bought on sale), and I think that they were worth the money, not only because I now have a brand new full set of Thundercats to complement my old full set of original toys from when I was a kid, but I actually think overall they are pretty decent. Yes there are some minor niggles which we have all discussed, but hey, I get to play with a Thundertank again so sod it! 
Plus the more of us that buy them and support the line, the more they will produce and the better the line will become overall!
Besides, if wave 3 contains an Addicus, Kaynar, Rataro, Jaga, Pumyra and maybe a berbil or two, that would be EPIC!!! Who wouldn’t want them! lol!
Hiatuses between seasons are normal. However, the lack of production news on the next season has me worried.
As for the toys, I wish they would have marketed more cutesy toys in addition to the action figures. I’m not a toy collector, but I wouldn’t mind a little Snarf plushie for my desk.

I believe there was news around Toyfair that there were going to be some Thundercats plushies made. Haven’t heard about it since though.

This would be the first option you had listed there. Dan specifically said it’s NOT canceled. He didn’t say we’re waiting to see if it’s canceled. He said it hasn’t been.
Then they would say it is renewed, like for example Game of Thrones or Spartacus got already renewed after just a few eps from the first season aired.
Their goal was to make 52 episodes. Maybe they got two seasons on the board. Like they HAD them, but sometime along the road CN was skeptic about the show until now. Now CN likes what Thundercats has done and want’s to resume the first and official two season contract.
Which then would explain that “it’s not cancelled” a bit better. Many shows have done this before. Planned for two seasons and just see where it goes.
Not necessarily, a hiatus can also mean very specifically the waiting period when the show is confirmed for another season, especially when the art director is saying specifically it is NOT cancelled!

The show is not cancelled, at least not thus far. That’s all we need to know.

If they held a huge parade to announce the second season with news stories runnin 24/7, that wouldn’t mean anything to you either! You’re just determined to be negative.
