So… since it takes a few months or more (I think I remember that correctly) to complete an episode- if they are in hiatus, even if they eventually continue with a second batch of episodes that would be potentially green-lit- could that not mean that we will be waiting a VERY long time for new episodes to air even if the cards fall the right way?
Well, now we’re sure it’s NOT cancelled.
I’d rather them take their time and make great episodes than quickly feed us crap every week..so I’m happy it’s not cancelled..and that they aren’t rushing the process!

No, they are on a hiatus from writing episodes, not showing them! They have the whole first season done and are airing the rest of it right now. So it might take awhile for the second season, but we can be sure there will be one now.
DEFINATELY NOT CANCELLED!!! I think that’s the important news here. Plus we still have a good month or so of episodes till the end of season one so hopefully their rest won’t be too long and we’ve got one hell of a season 2 to look forward to!

Well, this is both a delight and sad to hear and overall a mixed bag of feelings. It is a delight to know that Norton has confirmed that ThunderCats is not cancelled, which by the way is a great thing. Keep supporting this release as best as you can. Good shows like this are really, really hard to come by, and if we want this to be a success, we must show our support.
Additionally, it is sad because we won’t be seeing the second season anytime soon, however, in light of this, as MouseCat already stated, of which I agree to. T’is better to wait, and have a quality product, than have something rushed and lambasted with harsh criticisms from the fans. If it takes two years to see the second season, I’ll be here, patiently and eagerly waiting.
I’m pretty sure it’ll only be 2 seasons with 26 episodes each. As small as that sounds, if it’s enough to fulfill the story then I’m okay with that.

It’s not just for the writers and directors, the actors too have previous commitments and have other shows they need to work on. You’d think their job would be easy, just read the script into the microphone, but they also have a lot of input on the creative process (Heck, Will Freidle wrote a whole episode, and more power to him!). Kevin Michael Richardson who not only voices Panthro, but anyone else they might need in a pinch, always has a thousand things going at once.
Yeah. I’ve heard stories from the cast about having to do different shows all in one day, sometimes voicing multiple people. I’m just glad we know it’s not cancelled!

Anyway this goes along with what Matt Mercer said a week or so ago. That they’ve ordered the next season but haven’t produced it yet.
I hope they keep making new episodes after the 26th episode airs. The only cartoons I ever watch now on saturday mornings is Thundercats and The legend of Korra.
I am in total agreement with everyone on here, although I’m practically jumping up and down screaming iwantitnowiwantitnowiwantitnow!!! I understand the realities of actors commitments/holidays/time for the creative process etc etc etc, so I don’t mind waiting now that we have confirmation that we’ll be getting a second season at least! And like others said I don’t mind waiting even longer if they are spending time getting it just right, rather than having the episodes rushed through. I’m just SO excited that we’ll be seeing more!
I watch those plus Young Justice, but otherwise that’s it.
Not good news, but not bad either. Hopefully WB pulls the trigger on the second season so they can finish the story.

“Hiatus” is a fancy work for “break”, so they are coming back. That plus the confirmation that have not been cancelled equals we’re 99.9% sure a second season is coming. I still have that tiny little spark of worry, but it’s very small and since the toy sales and ratings are up a ton then I think we’re good.
