OMG! He’s right! :o

IN Photoshop it was 72 Pixels/inch Width 19.625 inches Height 12 inches I saved it as a PNG because I have never had a problem with file size and uploads before. I was thinking about altering it to 300 Pixels/inch would that help or does it need a different format to retain size.

Actually I will try uploading it through Google Docs first.

Sorry If this is too Huge Now But Go big or Go Home! the download has a Thick clear Right and Bottom Border But I am sure you guys can figure out a way to crop it once you download it. Enjoy!!!

That’s not the point. They’re making the female lead characters more provocative looking and being a female, I find insulting how objectified they seem to be made out to be.

At least in the OS her outfit was no worse than the guys.

And apparently they’d all been neutered! :stuck_out_tongue:

Was rather disturbing and weird.

I believe in the OS that when Jaga removed his helmet, that he had ears like that.

Too skinny for Gandalf. My only complaint about Jaga is how skin and bones he is.

a cat’s…er…private parts… don’t just hang out. No matter what all those yiff artists draw. lol

Well if you’re going to make that argument, then we should argue that a female cat does not have breasts. She has nipples below her belly. :stuck_out_tongue:

I always wondered why they had lines on their thighs. the ones that wore belts like Panthro you could rationalize that maybe it was underwear, but the Thunderkittens and Tygra didn’t wear belts.

Great Points!! I was upset when I heard that they were changing the style. After all..the original is what kept us all wanting a new series, toys etc. After watching the new show I feel that they did a good job changing it the way they did. The only thing for me is Panthro..my “Old Friend” I wish he could have looked a little more like the vintage. All in all I think it will grow on people the more they watch it. I hope the line does well so we can get all of the original’s in the new Classics Style.

Im sure some of you can recall the MYP MOTU 200x..I was not a fan. I purchased the series and starting watching it and now its apart for the story for me. Hopefully this can do the same for some of you.

Totally agree with you and OmensOfThundera, felt the same way, it was a great moment.

Here hear! I liked that, too. There was a lot of symbolism in that scene, especially a boy’s transition to becoming a man.

Ok, after watching the ep a second time, I have two things to say.
First, I know the entrance to the bunker was blown up but I really hope the cats haven’t all been wiped out. Genocide is a bit to depressing to think about.
Secondly, I don’t care what some people say, I adore the new Cheetara. Sure she’s a bit revealing, but by todays animation standards this is tame. Just look at the new Harley Quinn. And besides, there were alot who wore revealing clothes, Panthro, the alley cats and dog, the cats doing that game. All the lizards even. So it’s not unique to her.
And also I just love her voice and personality, so much better then the OS, especially the voice. And then the connection between her and Lion-O just makes me smile. The whole scene when she says she thinks he’s different for the first time, I could watch that part all day.

No, you are not. Expect dozens of little nods to the OS in future episodes of the new show. In fact, I’m eager to see what they do with the Warrior Maidens, Hachiman, SnowMan, and SnowMeow.

I don’t undestand this complaint. Really I don’t

One Piece or Midriff ? She has cleavage in both..in the OS you could see her camel toe and in the NS you see her stomach. She’s proactive in BOTH series. So I don’t see how you’re insulted by the newer version and not the older one.

Seriously I am a woman and I see nothing wrong with her being attractive. Lion-O and Tygra are also hot for animated characters. Are they objectified because they’re attractive? I was just wondering

I just don’t get it…I like the new look.

I said this before and I will say it again. IT’S NOT A CHILDREN SHOW ANYMORE. All the hardcore fans are ADULTS!!! If they can get younger viewers than it’s all good but seriously, that made it for us. Because we are going to sell it to the newer generation. Adults also buy action figures and merchandise… too. Plus we’re the ones with the actual income. (I sure by Bleach figures, wall scrolls, pillows and all that other good shyte) Her outfit is FINE!!

I like it!

Hi! I’m new.
I just had to post my thoughts on the new reboot.
Wow! What a great start! As an old fan of the show I thought it was fantastic.
Just some random thoughts as I watched.
1) I LOVE the idea they made Cheetara a cleric. It’s an interesting take on magic and her 6th sense. Here’s hoping they break psychic abilities up in to its own category and the new show explores Tygra’s mind abilities. In the original series his mind powers (including his ability to control fire once it was lit) were completely unexplored.
2) So Lion-O is the only one that can understand Snarf. Are they going to explore Lion-O’s ability to understand and control any cat in this series? That was distinctively his and not given to him by the sword.
3) Does anyone else see any other Snarfs in the city? Maybe I missed them.
4) Did anyone else catch any other striped Tigers Thunderians too? It almost seems Tygra is the only one in the entire kingdom. I wonder if they plan to explore Tygra’s OS “Brother” line to Bengali later in the series. Man that would put an interesting twist on Lion-O’s and Bengali’s friendship down the line wouldn’t it?
5) I think I’m one of the few out there that feels sorry for Tygra already. I really didn’t think he came off all much of a jerk. Being caught between Lion-O and Claudis all your entire life? –Shutter- You’d have to have a certain amount of defensive cool apathy off to simply survive being in the same household as those two. Man, they are equally stubborn, hard-headed, bad-tempered and believe it’s their way or the highway. Talk about being stuck between irrepressible force and unmovable object.
6) No Lion-O’s mother here either. I wonder if they’ll explore what happened to her later?
7) I wonder what happened to Claudis’s body? Did he just get left there to rot?
And just speaking as an American. What’s wrong with Cheetara’s outfit? Her outfit was always modeled after Olympic track/field outfits. LOL! I’m showing my age here since I remember what they wore in the 80’s. Her new outfit looks just what modern day track and field athletes wear. Though, I don’t get the puffy things around the legs. Wind resistance and drag to slow her down and all that.
I can’t wait for the kittens!

Word. But more to the point, with the pouf & threads she’d fit right in with the Jersey Shore bunch, and dethrone Snooki with a twack of her baton. Would that make Tygra The Situation?

MGP

To me, the new Cheetara is empowering. In our day and age, shows like ‘how do I look’ and “what not to wear” teach the modern woman that sexy is empowering. That woman can hold their head up high and look stunning doing it. Cheetara’s outfit did not distract me. Well maybe those odd disk thingyies on her wrists and ankles made me curios, but not her body. I mean animal humanoids wearing clothing to begin with seems like a stretch to me. Sure her belly button isn’t covered, oh NO she’s going to hell.. no wait, they don’t have a hell, or the social constraints that drive most of us nuts. A little tummy wont change how kick @ss she can be. Besides, more clothes would be wind resistant, she needs to be streamline, to get up to top speeds.

To be honest, when I was a ten year old, I had a code with my sister, called, BB. it meant big bulge. it was a code word for “look at that guys bulge.” So our parents didn’t know we were gawking at crotches. And yes, the OS Thunder males were all BB’s. So what? So two preteens were gawking at the bulges of Lion-O and Tygra.. but not all kids were. If a kid is naturally perverted it doesn’t matter what the animation is wearing. If they are not, the statement remains the same. The outfit does not change the opinion of how kewl the character is, it only adds or subtracts to the characters physical appeal.

Cheetara will be an empowered female lead, like she was back in 85. She’ll be strong level headed, kewl and confident, and eventually her outfit will simply melt into the scenery. All that will matter is what comes out of her mouth. Besides with animation there’s no chance of a wardrobe malfunction.

So she has a belly button, all this does is tell us that thundercats give live birth. Also, if this animation is going to be anything like the deeply complex Avatar, their outfits will likely change many times. Her casual non cleric outfit tells us a few things about her and their society. She’s strong enough to defend herself against unwanted advances, she likely doesn’t get any unwanted advances. They live in a place were the body is appreciated. Her body is completely covered in fur, and sunlight is hot, so why cover it more than she has to? They don’t have an archaic mindset when it comes to wardrobe. Females are not over powered or over shadowed, or forced to hide themselves. So many different things can be said of the thundercats and Cheetara specifically just by analyzing her outfit alone.

In the end i fully agree with the outfit change. OS Cheetara looked matronly in that one peace 80’s get up. It did not have flair or character. It was what Jaga gave her to help her conform with a strange planets ideas of acceptable physical appearance. Which frankly I always felt sad about. They shouldn’t have to change their habits to fit in. It’s not a message I’d like to convey. Conformity usually does more bad than it does good. JMHO :stuck_out_tongue:

One wonders whether Cheetara will have costume changes over the series. I just think she needs a better designer.

MGP

Besides, in Exodus (OS), Jaga explained them than while in Thundera, they never needed clothes, but they might need them in their new destination.

So, if they didn’t need them in Thundera, why did Pumyra, Bengali and Lynx-O did wear them before Thudnera exploded?

perhaps only the noble thunderians were clothed wheras the others didnt

I wonder wether they ALL will have costume changes. This show is to be more realistic, seriously, wearing the same thing for 50 episodes won’t make that much sense unless it is specified to all have occured in a short amount of time.

The kids are the target audience man. The toys are aimed at them. We may eventually have a say in how things go, specially if our fandom goes the route MLP:FIM’s fandom has gone. But the kids are first.

And what is wrong with that? I’m a female too and I actually like it. If she ends up being heavily developed down the road, which seems t be the case, just having her be eye candy is a bonus. Because she would be a defined character. Appearances don’t matter, it’s what the character does.
