Of course but you’ve answered your own question;) I think in this instance it was both a title AND a form of affection, which makes it even more sad, when we are young nicknames are very special to parents and their children which is why we usually get such unusual and/or flattering ones that we usually love UNTIL we grow older then they are just plain embarassing because they are a testament of just how special we are to our parents which isn’t as cool when you are trying to stop your friends from snickering at your blushing face, the problem here is Tygra is a cub and at that age to stop the sweet nicknames feels like rejection, at that age the nickname is much like a hug or kiss from our mother we CRAVE it.

Why is it odd? There were less than ten tigers in the scene, and to me they looked like elite guards.

Me too. But I have to say, I’m underwhelmed with the tigers in the preview. I saw a picture somewhere of the brothers in front of a taller tiger, who I assume may be Tygra’s dad, now he’s impressive.

Tygra got his good looks from his daddy. 
I really hope we get to see his biological mom too.
I think the other Tigers look fine, they had to make each of them distinctive while still making sure they look like Tigers. They look at least as good as the “common” Thunderan citizens from the pilot.

I do think daddy needs a kick on the butt though. He better have a good excuse for sending the baby tiger to the unknown on a balloon…

I’m guessing the big guy is Tygra’s pops too (haha pops I never use that), he IS a handsome fellow just like Tygra. I feel like we are in for some sadness though when it comes to Tygra’s mother but I hope not 
I wonder if Tygra is going to grow to be as giant.
