That’s what I’ve always said when people say the OS Lion-O choose to be alone. A King has a duty to his kingdom to provide an heir. Not to at least try to provide one is irresponsible because it could potentially cause a civil war between other nobles for the crown.
As for not involving them in danger. Cheetara is a Cleric. She’s basically a royal bodyguard. She can take care of herself. And I’m sure whoever else Lion-O might choose instead of Cheetara would also be able to take care of themselves. I don’t see him falling for a weak woman.

We just saw that Leo’s mate was a panther, not a Lion and she was a warrior. Cheetra would be a awesome queen. BTW Tygra isn’t a bas****, he’s adopted that is why he has no clame to the throne. Tygra has no blood clame.
It might be cool to people who actually enjoy Cheetara and Lion-O as a couple. I personally think it would be much cooler if Cheetara played a role similar to Jaga’s once Lion-O is firmly settled as King, and if Lion-O took another awesome woman as his Queen.
Yeah that part is opinion. I think having Cheetara become the kind of Queen that make her King stronger, is great. I have always been told for every great man there must be a great woman behide him.
That’s what I assume will happen. I don’t think Lion-O will end up with any “Thundercat” per say, but while we’re looking way to far in the future, this season, and many subsequent seasons I really can’t see Lion-O with anyone. The Heir comes when Mumm-Ra has been vanquished. Lion-O is still a child and we have to assume that he won’t be dying any time soon. When the next series comes out, they can make him an old man with a kid or two, but until then…like the original, Lion-O doesn’t get any from the ladies.
Again, a love interest for Lion-O at the moment would only complicate things for him. If I were Mumm-Ra I would just steal and kill the heir if Lion-O and the Thundercats did not do exactly what I said. The reason why Claudus was able to have an heir is because there was no threat of death and destruction from a force of Evil many people assumed to be a myth.
If we are speaking way down the line, I can see him with Willa if she is introduced into the show as she was also Royalty in the Original series (even though she’s an Amazon…lol) Also another weird choice would be Willykit. She’s only a kid now, but soon enough (around the time Lion-O becomes a man) she will become a women as well.
Dude she’s 8 and Lion-o is 17-18. By the the Lion-o is ready for to bring a hier into the world she might still be a teen.
Yes, that’s what people say. But nothing says that Cheetara is the only great woman Lion-O will ever meet, and I would much rather see her rebuild the clerics. She’s the last cleric, after all, and I doubt she’d be allowed to train new ones if she was Queen and had to stay safe so she could produce an heir (and a couple of extras just in case something terrible would happen to the first one). I guess I just hope for something greater than that for her.

That is understandable, but for what we have seen the Thundercats are a warrior Culture. As Queen, Cheetara chould still lead the clerics, she is no daisy. Take Panthera for example. she wasn’t hiden away to be a baby maker, she was in the fight.

I really doubt Panthera and Leo were trying to conceive during the rebellion, and I really, really doubt that she was pregnant.
Fair enough. I just can’t see Lion-O with a primary character and I have always thought of Kit and Kat to be secondary (sorry to the fans of those two.) Cheetara is too important to the Thundercats, but this could also be why it would make her a great queen. The rebuilding of the Clerics seems to important while having a great queen, as important as it is, can be a secondary role that has her time of glory every so often. Who ever the queen turns out to be will always be overshadowed by Lion-O and I can’t see Cheetara being overshadowed at all.
I’m not saying she was trying to concieve, but it was clear that her and leo were together and it didn’t seem like they were trying to keep her safe just so the future Queen didn’t get hurt.

I think that is somewhere we lose each other, I don’t think of a Queen as less than a King, cause she wears a Crown, and if the Kings dies it’s the Queen who rules till the Hier is old enough.
The way I see it, they didn’t know that Panthera was going to be the future Queen. I don’t even think they were sure that Leo was going to be the future King. There was no need to keep her safe; she was a soldier.
However, if Cheetara becomes Lion-O’s future Queen, it is just as much her responsibility to produce an heir as it is Lion-O’s. She would spend many months pregnant for every child she bears, and probably quite some time healing and getting her body back in working order after every birth (if humanoid cats work anything like humans). And if Cheetara whent to battle when she was pregnant, she wouldn’t only be putting herself but also the unborn child at risk, which would mean she’s neglecting her responsibilities as Queen. And besides, she wouldn’t be able to fight at her full potential during a huge part of the pregnancy, so while she might be giving orders to the Clerics behind the scenes, someone else would have to lead them in battle. It just wouldn’t feel like Cheetara to me.

Cheetara needs to be a part of what makes the Thundercats prosperous and as much as being a Queen is important, kick butt and taking names just seems like her cup of tea.
Yeah I think we are going to have to agree to to disagree here, cause I think she can fight as Queen (for time she would be pregnet she would be out of the fight as she could train the clerics). But I feel like she would be a Queen and still fight.

I imagine Cheetara could easily be Queen and lead the Clerics. She just wouldn’t be able to be in battle when pregnant or take part in quests even if she wasn’t pregnant. And for that part of leading the Clerics in battle when pregnant, she could easily delegate that to her second in command.
Hell, Lion-O would be more limited in doing things as well as king when Thundera is rebuilt. He wouldn’t be able to go on quests and would only fight in battles where he has to lead his army with his generals.
Sorry guys, I gotta say that I would be definitely disappointed if Cheetara became queen. As Jaga’s only student left, she needs to be the one to rebuild and work as the head Cleric. I love Cheetara really, but with Lion-o as a queen just doesn’t seem right. Going back to the comics, in the end Cheetara and Tygra end up as a couple. Now, granted I’ll admit that we’re to focus more on the OS than the comics, but I really believe that’s the way it should stay.
And for Tygra that’s truly the only fair ending. He’s an adopted son who while better than Lion-o in fighting and more mature, and yet he can’t become king because Lion-o is the true heir. I mean royals have killed for less before. Tygra deserves Cheetara in the end, and I think together they will be a great pair that can advise Lion-o.
In the end, I want Lion-o with Pumyra. Pumyra, as a healer is an important part of the team. Also as a healer, she’ll hopefully be more down to earth and realistic, which could be a great compliment to Lion-o idealism and his hot-headedness. Also, Pumyra was really screwed over in the OS series, and she had so much potential, so I want the NS to expound on that untapped potential.
So, hopefully, Cheetara will break Lion-o’s heart in the end and choose Tygra. In this, he’ll grow up alittle from this, and Pumyra comes in and fills this void. Lion-o and Pumyra grow up alittle more together as the THundercats fight to remake their home.
What I disagree with in the way you put it, is that it sounds like Cheetara is some consolation prise for Tygra, cause no matter what he will come in second place. Cheetara can be Queen and train and lead, Queens are co-heads of state. Again this seems to boil down to people preferences, I rather see her be Queen, be Lion-O’s top adviser, rule along side him and rebuild and lead the Clerics.
