I’m of the same opinion. Why couldn’t she be Queen and lead/rebuild the Clerics as well? Hell, being head of the Clerics would mean she would be an advisor to Lion-O which is something the Queen is as well.
I can see why her being a Queen would be a little blah. As a Queen her life (or womb) is very important. I dont know very many Queens who did much more than pop put a bout of royal heirs. How many of them were seasoned warriors ? Huh, I never thought of Queens holding the position of advisers. I thought the King hand picked his advisers. Made up of noble men and lords. Honestly having your SO in that kind of position sounds dangerous to me. :shrug:
This is a cartoon. Its not like their going to be terribly accurate so who is to say she wont be able to still be a warrior? Its unrealistic but Im not demanding they be all that accurate.
This is coming from someone who likes the Lion/Tiger conflict in the series. I like that they choose to accurately depict the exclusiveness of the royal blood line. It just add more realism to the pot, a little something extra for the older audience to go back and forth on. I could appreciate Cheetara not wanting to develop a relationship with Lion-O because of her duties as a cleric.( I know Im not the only one who felt a little awed when Pocahontas let John Smith go because she knew where she belonged.)
Honestly Cheetara being head cleric, Queen and a warrior sounds a little to sunshine and butterflies for me.
I wont say she cant, but it just comes off a tad cheesy.
Which generally would probably happen at the end of the series anyways where you expect the most cheesiness in a children’s show. Granted this show’s design is being influenced by adults who were fans of the original series as kids themselves but I figure some things wouldn’t be changed like a somewhat cheesy ending where things end up looking good for the heroes.
Anyways, I guess it depends on how Thundera treats it women and how much of a warrior society they are. I imagine that that the writers of the show will make thunderan society a more modern one so kids can understand and relate to it better.
Where has it been stated/implied that Pumyra is a healer? Did i miss something?
OS had her as the healer for the Thundercats. But with her only in 3 eps, it’s probably really easy to miss that tidbit unless you’re a fanatic fan like I am.

Well, in the long run, I really can’t see Cheetara choosing Lion-o. While she’s a flirt, she doesn’t seem to be bothered or attracted as much to Lion-o as it would probably take for her to accept the position of queen. Granted with the passage of time maybe she’ll start to look as if she’s got a real interest, but right now, she’s just not giving off that vibe. She seems more attracted to Tygra to me, but it’s hard to tell just yet.
Again, I’m wanting Pumyra to be expounded on more than in the OS, she had alot of potential for a second leading lady, but never got much of a chance. Which is why I’m hoping they have Pumyra as the one who takes up the void Cheetara leaves when she clearly chooses Tygra. Then again, maybe they’ll build her without her needing to be the next love interest which would be cool too. (but I’ll still pull for Lion-o/Pumyra).
But in the long run here, for now we’re just going to be arguing over preferred couples. It’s really up to the creator how this will really run out.
There are a lot “Season 3-4” episodes that I missed, as I think they stopped playing new episodes at some point in my area, and I never had cable…

Why not Pumyra? I think Tygra may end up with Pumyra. Remember in the OS, all the ThunderCats went to new Thundera at the end except for Tygra and Pumyra who stayed behind on Third Earth. Ooh La La!
LOL! I’m siding with you. I’m betting Tygra and Pumyra in this series.
Since Lion-o is royality and heir. He might have a arranged marriage and a betrothed out there waiting for him. Royality rarely if ever married for love and Claudus sure didn’t strike me as the sappy type. Marrying for love is a very modern idea. Arranged marriages for political reasons was the norm.
That’s always a good possibility too. Granted in OS that was one episode, but hey, who’s to say there couldn’t have been some hankypanky XD. When you’re the only one left on Third Earth (which srsly, why leave your healer lightyears away from you if you’re going into another battle? o_0) you’d probably be starved for attention, so when Tygra and his sexiness shows up, who knows. XD Hey if he was offering, I wouldn’t say no.
Either way, as long as the series builds on Pumyra, I’ll be happy. I’m more for the Pumyra/Lion-o couple, but a Pumyra/Tygra wouldn’t be bad to me either (though I’m still more Cheetara/Tygra fan)
But Lion-o is such a cutie in this one, maybe that’s what pushing me for the pairing. *girly giggle
And also you’re probably right. But hey, with their society destroyed, it’s not very likely that the fiancee is still alive. Or anyone to enforce the marriage. It would be funny to me if Pumyra was his fiancee though and all Lion-o and Pumyra is fight at first. (I love a good Tsudere relationship XD)
Besides, Lion-o is king now, he can probably break any engagements or whatever if he so pleases. Look at Henry the 8th.
Actually marrying for love was more of a thing for peasants if I recall as they had no political power or money as peasants never really had much of either.
Its funny because so many like to say Cheetara is being used as a consolation prize but I think Tygra getting with Pumyra after the whole love triangle fiasco would look like a consolation prize .
Ive been thinking they’d go that route if Lion-o/Cheetara ends up being endgame. I’d rather see Tygra girlfrienldess or given some off screen love interest .
I was thinking that lately, that Tygra ends up with Pumyra, and make a nice couple.
But, if that happened, I want it to be a natural thing, not because he “lost” Cheetara to Lion-o and looked for a second place partner when still hurt.
About the 2 of them staying in Third Earth in the OS, you all know how I feel about that… not good

At the rate we’re going, it’s more likely to be Lion-O somehow separated and stumbling across Pumyra and co.
Me too… that sounded logic to me, give that they were lost alone for a long time… well, not exactly alone but Lynx-o couldn’t see them “sharing” anyway
I was never a Bengali fan, but alot of people put them together. But considering if they were a couple, why would Bengali leave his girlfriend on Third Earth and go off with the others to Thundera?
And everyone is saying that if Tygra gets Cheetara she’s a consolation prize. Um, no? Cheetara would have the right to choose between the two. Just because Tygra is second best to Lion-o in other things because of his heir status, that might not mean anything to Cheetara, and she could see Tygra as the better choice.
Well we don’t know what the new Pumyra will be like.
But if Pumyra is gentle and kind, I think she’d be a good match for Tygra to offset him. I think the best matches are when one person’s strength is the other person’s weakness and vice versa. 
Okay how about this for a twist; a lioness shows up claiming to be Lion-O’s betrothed and it was arranged by their fathers.
