Oh, I see the sympathy, and I see the support an older sibling would show. Don’t see much respect yet, though, but I just see that as a result of Tygra still seeing Lion-O as his dumb little brother. It’s hard to change how you see your family. I think Tygra respects Lion-O for the things he manages to do, but I don’t think he’s capable of seeing him as a proper king yet, and because of that he doesn’t respect him as a king and leader. In his eyes, Lion-O might still just be that awkward little brother who is late for important meetings, gets in trouble, can’t get first to the bell and is likely to mess up being king.
I don’t really get why so many people think Tygra is such a bad guy just because he gives his little brother a hard time, though. I’ve seen sibling rivalry in real life that is much, much worse and makes Tygra look like a very loving and supportive brother in comparison. (And I hope the snark and teasing never goes away, that’s part of what makes Tygra my favourite.)

I seriously think Lion-O and Tygras relationship is interesting enough as it is, and adding another aspect to their rivalry in the form of a girl to compete over feels like it’s just going to be overkill. Which is why I would prefer no love triangle at all or if it was Cheetara who was drawn to Tygra instead of Lion-O. And, as I think I’ve mentioned earlier, I want Cheetara to be her own character, not just a love interest or a prize to compete over.
Love triangles every time bad…and boring…so in the last comic ist cheetara with Panthro this is ok, but…( my bad english -.-)…ok, I don´t like cheetara and I think its noisy, if cheetara by lion-o oder tygra… i don´t like it…I don´t like romance in fantasy stories.
Yeah, love triangles have the potential problem of making things very messy and complicated for a story that isn’t about romance. For it to work on a story that isn’t a romance story, the love triangle has to be a minor one where it’s more there to create some tension but is easy to see who would get together in the long run. So at the most, I think since Cheetara and Lion-O are already being rammed down our throats, I don’t think having things switch around to her getting together with Tygra would do the story or Cheetara’s character any good.
I always thought love triangle should imply that, in this case, Tygra and Lion-O should fall for each other. Let’s not see that.
I echo what others have said, I really hope that Cheetara is not reduced to just being arm candy. She doesn’t seem to be going in that direction yet, thankfully.
If she’s arm candy she is exceptionally powerful candy as evidenced in the ‘Journey’ episode. Plus she seems to have most level head of all the TCs thus far. She throws her support behind her king wholeheartedly.
I’m the oldest of six and I still roll my eyes at younger sibling stupidity at times. You do learn however your pig-headed younger siblings are going to do what ever they want anyway so you do learn to pick and choose the important battles.
It’s seems to be a lesson Tygra is deploying well.
No mean feat taking in to account Tygra watched his father and his kingdom die. He wasn’t a last minute ride in like Lion-o. He saw the slaughter up close and personal. Has had his relationship with Lion-o turned up side down.
Hopefully he never does.
Even Claudus had Jaga to point out when he was being a unreasonable, pig-headed moron. Tygra just needs to learn to be more dipolmatic about it. That comes with time and age. Rotten leaders have nothing but yes men around them.

Can any of use really belive that Lion-o is in any place to even think about starting a relationship? A few episodes back he was pretty much coming off the rails.

I’m with you there–I think it’s very hard to portray a 17 year old as both a teenager and the leader of a group (and king to boot) and sometimes that means he’ll come across as wiser than he should be (at this time), but so long as he makes mistakes along the way and continues to act like a teenager much of the time I’m cool with it.
True to an extent, but women generally don’t get all touchy feely with guys they don’t know that well. Especially, the way Cheetara got all close to Lion-O in “Journey to the Tower of Omens”. Kind of hard to not see that as flirting.
Personally, I think it’s going to be a Tygra/Cheetara match in the end. Lion-O has too much already, so for him to also get the girl would be…kinda BLEH to me. Also, Lion-O is a younger teen, he needs someone his age that can mature with him. Cheetara stands in a good advisory role, and love interest, for the boy through their journey.
But in the long run (hopefully in the Second season (maybe even in this season? O_O)) I want to see Pumyra appear and be around the same age as Lion-O. While I have disagreements with her personality being more ‘girly’ than Cheetara (I mean she acts like some sultry feminine woman, just cause she kicks butt that makes her a ‘tomboy’? >P Srsly? Ladies can handle themselves very well if they know how to.) I do want them to develop on Pumyra. She was so under appreciated in the original, and she had so much potential that was left to rot.
Speaking of Pumyra, if all of you were watching the Legacy episode, OMG LOOK! Those were NOT white tigers banging on the Sword there folks! Those looked like PUMAS to me!!. It might be that they might mix Pumyra and Bengali’s histories together.

But I can hope they use the female puma-cat’s hairstyle for Pumyra :O. In any case, I want Lion-o to be with Pumyra in the end. If I could almost be cliche, I want to see Pumyra having a personality like Nala from Lion King. She would compliment to Lion-o, but at the same time, when he’s being dumb, snap at him. I’d have even more fun if the two fight at first. XD
which takes me back to the “its her job to support and guide him” angle. like an actual teacher on here said, sometimes you have to make a little physical contact to put the student in a less apprehensive place so that they can actually learn what it is you are trying to teach them. it just so happens that sometimes the student that required that sensitive touch will also see that guidance as something more when it really isnt
A love triangle if they don’t develop Tygra better than they have been will be laughable. Just saying I’m kind of annoyed that they’re 7 episodes in and have done nothing with his character.
Just lik in the OS… nd to think tey said they were changing the character to make him more interesting and develop him more :rolleyes:

I agree, a love triangle that involves him as far as he’s been developed would be laughable at least. And then I’m 100% sure Lion-o will get the girl, because no one would care for Tygra again (except for his hard core fans like me ;)).

The reason that won’t work is because Lion-o is KING, he needs to provide an hier. It’s part of his job as King, and it would be cool if that hier came form Cheetara.
