And it’s never the two that bicker and fight and are annoyed by each other that end up together at the end right?
But when she scolded him, he frowned. That made me think one of two:
a) he resented Cheetara and got mad at her for scolding him,
b) he considered Cheetara’s words, which could be a hint that he regards her opinions high… maybe she can take the best out of him 
I think Tygra has shown some interest on her: he always turn to her when he defies Lion-o, he waiter for her at the end of “Old Friends”, if b) is right then he listens to her, and on’t forget the drooling scene lol
I wasn’t saying that. Though technically they aren’t bickering and fighting, that would require a response from Tygra instead of him just shutting up and sulking. 
I’m saying I don’t see any actual interest from either of them at this point for the other. Cheetara seems to be all about Lion-O and Tygra just seems to be sulking about Lion-O and can’t think about anything else but how unfair his life has suddenly become.

Or c) he didn’t like that Cheetara scolded him instead of joining him in his ridiculing of Lion-O. Clearly when he said what he said, he was trying to get Panthro on his side, instead, he got Cheetara’s scolding. I find it’s normal in life when someone doesn’t like another person and they’re trying to find someone to side with them, that when no one does, they just shut up and sulk. So yes, I say Tygra is just sulking.
You know? I thought that at first, that he resented Cheetara, and even got jealous of Lion-o.
But I re-watched the episode today, and if you look carefully, when Cheetara scolded them that it would help if they trusted Lion-o, Tygra looked at his brother not with anger, but with determination, like if he had decided to believe in him. And at the end, when Mumm-Ra escapes and the Jaga-light went up to the book and it came down, Tygra looked at Lion-o, like saying “go on, you’re the one”.
I think we’ll have to agree to disagree on that one because I don’t get that impression from his expression. 
I just thought it was an expression of him thinking over what she said. I definitely didn’t see any hit of him trying to get Panthro “on his side.”

Really? I totally saw it in his tone of voice and the way he was looking at Panthro. He knew Panthro felt a certain level of annoyance with Lion-O ever since they came across Panthro. I think he was perhaps trying to become buddies with Panthro in what he said.
I believe we’re heading for episode seven in what is suppose to be a twenty-five(six?) episode season. Still plenty of time to build any sort of Tygra/Cheetara dynamic that they want. Somebody is going to have to help him with his issues down the road and I can’t see it being Lion-O or Panthro.
I just don’t see how it makes sense to have Tygra as a complete third-wheel in this unless they want him to be a villain, which I can’t see being the case.
this is the way i see it:
Cheetara is the last of the Clerics, which directly serve and guide the king. being as such, it makes perfect sense that she would immediately side with what Lion-O wanted to do and go out of her way to help him. she is supposed to do all these things. and i think it is Lion-O (and a deliberate misdirection as far as the audience is concerned) that is interpreting her doing her sworn duty as some sort of affection
i think all these small awkward moments where it seems to Lion-O and the audience like something is going on are leading up to a bigger awkward moment where it is revealed that it was all in his head.
and keep in mind, in a half hour episode, we are only getting a fraction of the daily goings on, so as far as we know, there is some intense back and forth between Cheetara and Tygra. i think that would set up an interesting episode where Lion-O goes looking for Cheetara and Tygra after they randomly duck into the bushes and catches his brother turned subject making out with what he thought was his girlfriend (cause you know he is gonna pull out that “you cant kiss her, cause i’m the king and i said so” whinny-ness he is so prone to)
Hmm I don’t think being loyal to Lion-O and the crown involves touching hands or leaning bodies to each other. Cheetara may had shown her loyalty to Lion-O by supporting him mentally but her way of doing things may explain that there’s more than her action might suggest.
I think the interview also explained that even Lion-O misinterprets Cheetara’s support as affection, they would develop a possible romance between the two. We haven’t seen Elenic stated the same thing goes with Tygra, but instead Tygra would experience an inferiority complex where apart from the crown he will lose to Lion-O again in the field of law. That being said, we haven’t seen Lion-O try to actually and actively pursue Cheetara either. Maybe when that happens we’ll see how the relationship will actually develops.
The problem with that is Tygra already has an inferiority complex in regards to Lion-O, imo. I see his constant need to be “better” than Lion-O coming from the fact that not only was he adopted but by the royal family to boot. He validates his worth of that honor by being better than the King’s actual heir.
Now that Lion-O is king he has lost all that. Even if he’s better than Lion-O now, it doesn’t change the fact that Lion-O has surpassed him. They already have enough conflict between the two without this. Having him lose Cheetara to Lion-O is basically kicking him while he’s already down.
I think Tygra’s gonna end up with the girl, BUT I think Lion-O is going to have to actually start being better than Tygra at certain things first. If Tygra gets the girl before Lion-O starts shaping up then it’ll just be another thing Tygra is better than him at.
I don’t think we’ve seen or heard enough of Tygra to really know what’s going on in that head of his. I actually see him much more reserved than Lion-o and actually much harder to get to know. Believe it or not.
As for a love triangle-- What love triangle? Tygra and Cheetara have in all of maybe one scene together. And I don’t think exchanging the looks of ‘Lion-o has completely gone off the tracks hasn’t he’ could be classified as any type of romantic moment.
I kind of saw Cheetara jumping to his defense as NOT helping Lion-o’s cause in the long run. He’s got to learn to fight his own battles and the ribbing Tygra and Pathro were giving him wouldn’t even register on the teasing scale in my family. Heck, My cousins would hav fallen out of the tree laughing so hard over the ‘sword’ line. With men there’s this certain amount of Alpha you gotta project and having Momma Cleric run to his defense all the time isn’t going to help Lion-o with the two older males of this group.
that would be the “guiding” part. it is clear that Lion-O is little more than a man-child playing with daddy’s crown and he doesnt respond well to Tygra and Panthro’s more alpha male based “man up and do it” method of trying to motivate him is more often than not counter productive. this leaves Cheetara to move into what could just as easily be interpreted as a motherly role trying to gently nudge him in the direction he needs to go, which often times works.
i feel it is obvious that Cheetara knows this gentle approach is working better with teaching Lion-O and thats why she keeps doing it. she is trying to help him, not get in his pants
and if you notice, all of those moments where she is touching him or leaning against him, none of them are random intimate moments, they are all times when she is trying to give him guidance or explain something to him
Has he lost all that just because Lion-O is king? I don’t think so yet. I would imagine that it would only get worse if Lion-O gets better at him in fighting and the other things.
Anyways, truth be told, I don’t think we can even say Tygra and Cheetara will get together. We would have to see some mutual build up between the two to even get an idea if they will get together.
(Look, here comes the fangirl who is going to ruin everything for everyone!)
The only love triangle I would support would be Panthro->Tygra->Cheetara->Panthro (don‘t question my fangirl reasoning). And Lion-O could meet a nice girl who isn’t the only surviving cleric, and Cheetara wouldn’t be stuck in the role of Main Character’s Love Interest. My brother thinks Mumm-Rah/Cheetara/Slythe would be the only acceptable love triangle. Such drama!
As for the upcoming Lion-O/Cheetara/Tygra triangle, I don’t want it at all. I usually really dislike romance in my action adventure cartoons. Hints in canon are okay, but actually getting together is much more fun when explored in fan fiction. But since we’ve been told that it’s going to happen, I hope it will go something like this:
Cheetara: “Hello, I’m being supportive of my King.” forgets that Lion-O is a 17-year-old boy and probably thinks with his hormones
Lion-O: “Oh man, it’s totally gonna happen!”
Cheetara: keeps being supportive and platonic
Tygra: “Hmm… maybe I should support Lion-O more, after all? Good job being King, little brother!” thumbs up
Cheetara: “Hey, you’re a pretty nice guy after all!” adventures happen “Wanna have a coffee together sometime?”
Tygra: “Sure!”
Lion-O: “Hey! Get away from my girlfriend!”
Cheetara & Tygra: “What?”
Lion-O & Tygra: “Let’s fight!”
Cheetara: “OMG, you’re such children! I’m staying single!”
Lion-O & Tygra: look foolish, decide never to let a woman get between them again
Cheetara: is awesome, strong and single and gets lots of character development

And if the triangle has to end in a couple, I hope Cheetara picks Tygra. Not only do I think Tygra deserves to have something nice once Lion-O grows into his role as King and proves once and for all that no matter how hard Tygra tries to be better, Lion-O is always going to have an advantage over him because he was born to be the awesome King of legend and Tygra wasn’t, but I also feel that Cheetara is going to have a better chance to grow into her own character together with Tygra. If she was with Lion-O, I have a feeling she would stop growing once they got together and just be the main character’s girlfriend and nothing else. And that would make me upset.
Tl;dr: Fangirl wishes the Lion-O/Cheetara/Tygra love triangle wouldn’t happen at all. Or happen and end with Cheetara staying single.
I’m guessing a 19 years hot chick giving explanations by leaning and touching a prefectly healthy 17 years old ‘kid’ instead of provide him with a simple preaching without all the touching, would be viewed as simply ‘guiding’ him. From your point at least… but not so sure about others perspective.
Another thing is for the viewers so far (imo at least), (i) Lion-O is the only character shown so far to have a kinda personal conversation with Cheetara, we haven’t seen her did the same with the others.. (ii) we haven’t seen Cheetara made any denial or defence on those sorta stuffs, even with the accusation from the twins; (iii) hints from the producer that there would be possible romance between the two.
I’m with you there. I’ve never liked “love triangles” where it’s two people who like each other and a third wheel. There’s really no true conflict, or character development and it just seems like a lazy way to do things.
