Wow, already? I guess either way Cheetara is going to be the focus point of the betrayal. I thought Mumm-Ra was going to be involved for sure.
Nah, she’s part of it but it’s also to deal with Tygra’s belief that Lion-O is not suited to be king and doesn’t deserve the Sword of Omens. And Mumm-Ra is definately going to be involved. He went into the Astral Plane as well at the end of the episode after Lion-O and Tygra.
I can’t wait for Friday. Maybe we can get another flashback.

That was quick. While I’m glad it’s going to be over, since I don’t like the love triangle plot, it feels like it never turned into a real love triangle since Cheetara only seemed to be interested in Lion-O (and the jury is still out on whether that is actually romantic interest or not).
My bet is still on Lion-O. If Cheetara goes with Tygra in the coming episode, it would feel very sudden.
I would like some development and bonding with the brothers, whoever she chooses. I really hate when they turn the other one crazy/make them the bad guy. And i really want good development for whoever Tygra or Lion-o likes later on; hopefully someone who isn’t just there to fill up a storyline and a pretty face.
That’s what I was thinking–it would explain how Tygra could betray Lion-O in a way he wouldn’t be expecting.
I’m glad it’s not Mumm-Ra since that would either mean Tygra actually goes bad (not ideal) or he pretends to go bad to take out Mumm-Ra when he’s least expecting it (which isn’t really a betrayal to Lion-O).
I have a hard time imagining there will be brotherly bonding after Cheetara makes her choice. But I guess it depends on how the ‘winner’ handles it.
I personally hope they don’t add any more romance after this. I’m not a fan of romance in action adventure cartoons.
I’m not really either, but i don’t want either of them to be alone. It’s just depressing.
The thing that would be really depressing is if they can’t be happy while they’re single. But that’s just my opinion. And they could meet someone after the series ends, that way the show could focus more on the action and the adventure and other kinds of character interaction.
The more obvious choice would be Lion-O, yes. I just dont see how either relationship has any real substance.
Cheet-O has some backing. She is his biggest supporter, but in what way is he good for her? These are things we should know before they expect us to buy into any real romantic feelings. If you’re going to make her primary focus a love interest then please make it a well fleshed out one.
CheeTygra has a past history that Cheetara may or may not remember. Tygra showed that he could and wants to support her. Cheetara on the other had has showed very limited interest in him (or anyone other then lion-O)
This show has failed to develop any relationship (inside the group) not directly linked to Lion-O. As a result the only ones that feel real, are the one linked to him. What a waste.
This is a stretch, but this supposed quick resolve of the love triangle may be because the writers plan to conclude the Lion-O and Cheetara romance debacle “are they? or aren’t they?” that’s been going on for over 20 years. It’s been hinted on in the original, and was planned to conclude with that romance, and through parodies over the years most notably in Robot Chicken and Family Guy.
And yea there’s the wildstorm comic, that concluded a relationship for Cheetara but with Tygra and is probably not considered 100% canon to the original series since a different team handled that. Correct me if I’m wrong. And with this reboot, it seems its the series second chance to finally conclude the Lion-O+Cheetara romance that a lot of people anticipate for.
Some people aren’t as outright with their feelings. Cheetara is very outspoken about supporting Lion-O, but that’s also her job. She may really believe in him, but that doesn’t mean it’s romantic. Just the same, even though she hasn’t shown as much outright interest in Tygra doesn’t mean it’s not there. She and Tygra have a level of familiarity that’s subtly implied.
I don’t know, I think there’s something there between the other characters, but it’s much more subtle. I’d love all the relationships within the group to get their turn in the spotlight and a chance to develop, but I don’t think it’s failed (yet).
Obviously there are a few factors at play going into the betrayal, but what I meant was that Cheetara was going to be the breaking point for him.
I’m actually glad they are dealing with this now. The group just got together and I’d rather see the negative vibes disappear. After the relationship stuff is out of the way we can get back to the team working together to take Mumm-Ra down.
This is not a strict 100% re-imaging of the OS. Lion-O/Cheetara would hardly be the only difference between the OS and the NS. I dont understand the OS anyways, wasnt he like a 8 year old in the body of a 30 year old? I find it morally wrong on more then one level, and I dont know how they got it passed the psychoanalytical radar they were suppose to have.
Still doesn’t change the fact that pretty much all of the relationships, romantic and otherwise are very undeveloped on this show .

Because of how fast they’re solving this, everything points to Lion-o, as Cheetara hasn’t show anything for Tygra, ever.
But as someone said, that could be the betrayal… although if Cheetara is the one to choose, then it can’t be considered a betrayal.
But it would be nice if Cheetara kisses Tygra, he gets surprised and she says something like “you never noticed?” or “do you really
thought I never noticed what you feel for me?” or something like that.
I agree with Chique, I would like to see other relationships inside the group. We’ve seen a little of of Tygra-Panthro (very little), but nothing of Pantrho-Cheetara, not to mention the twins.
That’s why I never got into Lion-O/Cheetara when I was a kid–to me he was a kid like me, but in the body of an adult, whereas Cheetara had always been an adult. It would be like Captain Marvel hooking up with someone.
That’s how I’d imagine it to happen–we never saw what she did with that flower, so maybe she’s always kept it as a keepsake and somehow found out it was him or something.
It could still be a betrayal by Tygra since he’s gotten the affections of the girl Lion-O likes and/or decides to keep the relationship a secret from him.
Didn’t she eat the flower to keep herself outside the Cleric’s Place?
Though i can’t see Tygra or Cheetara keeping a relationship from Lion-o. Unless the creators want to turn them into jerks.
Would Cheetara ( and really at this point in the story) really be the biggest betrayal of Lion-O tygra could make? Relationship or not?
I don’t think so, unless they both knowingly do it to hurt him. Tygra saying something particularly hurtful could, though.
