Cheetygra…not crazy about this. In the OS it was designated for Lion-o & Cheetara according to Leonard Starr. There were many hints on this during its run. In the new series I hope she rejects them both. I’d be p*-$$2d to find out I was the prize in a competition. Hope she chooses Pumyra.:jaw:

That is a good song, but it feels more of a Tygra/Cheetara song, then just Cheetara.
Tygra, while he has his positive merits, he’s shown he’s in it as well to one up Lion-O in terms of who possesses the Sword of Omens and, I hate to nag by repeating this, he has said “And just like the sword, one more thing you don’t deserve.” That right there says enough of his goals and how he views Cheetara. Lion-O of course also has his faults, but he’s learning the hard way.
And Lion-O has had a lack of support so he has come off as “needy” but can you blame him? Grune, Tygra, their people and even his own father looked down on him. The only ones to encourage Lion-O were Jaga and Cheetara, and well his dad Claudus when he was dying…hmm. Yea! Lion-O’s comment of “and that’s why she might choose me”, while a bold and kind of a jerk thing to say, does show Lion-O is giving her the space she needs to decide. He is in a “it’s up to her” mindset.
Cheetara may be just turned off by Tygra as to how he negatively treats Lion-O (Journey to the Tower of Omens). And perhaps the times when Tygra showed what seemed to be encouragement, especially with using sight beyond sight in “Forest of Magi Oar” may have been some slight form of his mockery to Lion-O like a “okay lets see if you actually learned anything…”
Lion-O’s treatment to his brother is questionable, and Lion-O is going about it wrong. He’s throwing back a behavior Tygra has done to him. And despite being a Lion-O fan, I’m really trying not to be bias, but Lion-O and his trash talk to his brother can be out of line when it’s about Cheetara, but when its been just Lion-O and Cheetara, he has respected her and giving Cheetara her space.
I do have a question about Tygra: If he’s afraid of rejection because he’s adopted, wouldn’t his years in Thudera as their treasured prince and Claudus’ favorite son have flipped that around? I mean, Tygra could have just been adopted at birth and realized later that he was adopted. I don’t see many adopted kids (with or without bad pasts) fearing rejection from people they love, and Tygra isn’t a little boy anymore, he’s 20.
AWWW that song is LOVE. And perfect for Cheetygra. Thanks its going on my ipod.
Seems to be Tygra’s adoption’s postive and negative aspects are exaggerated for the the sake of the story. They do need to reveal at what age and reasons Tygra came to be adopted into the royal family. That will be good to see.

I’m sorry, have you never ever said/felt/thought a guy doesn’t deserve a girl, or vice-versa? When someone thinks a person isn’t worthy of his/her GF/BF, it’s common to say “he/she doesn’t deserve her/him”.
And, once again, Claudus never looked down at Lion-o, he even defended him. Just because you think someone doesn’t fit an specific position because of some characteristcs or lack of them, doesn’t mean you look down at that person.
About the bolds: Tygra sounded honest to me on that ocassion, but it could just be me.
You should look for more songs from that guy: Elliott Yamin. His voice is one of a kind.
It’s not a rule, but it’s pretty common.
Even if adopted at birth, the question arises sooner or later, and the doubts and fears with it.
And Tygra might be not a baby aymore, but emotional scars don’t heel that easily. Besides, we don’t know what explanation he was given about his adoption or how he rationalized it.
Yea I’ll admit jealousy got the best of me and there have been times where I have thought to myself "the heck did that guy do to get that chick? this is bull! He treats her like crap/ uses her " etc and such. But that’s because I wanted the girl for myself. There was a selfish motivation there. And Very wrong of me to think of in that situation.
You got me on the Claudus part, I did forget his talk with Grune on Lion-O being King. I was thinking of the parts when he told Lion-O to stay and told him of Tygra leading and then went with Tygra to fight the lizards.
I dont see the problem people are having with the deserving line. You can very well be deserving or undeserving of someone’s love.If you act inconsiderate of the love someone gives you then yes, you are undeserving. Now do people fall in love based on deserving vs not deserving, no. Lion-O could very well be undeserving of Cheetara’s love, but that mite not necessarily stop her from loving him. Unfortunatley, it hardly ever works that way.
Matter of fact Tyrgra said And just like the sword, one more thing you dont deserve. Oddly he seems to have already consented to Lion-O receiving Cheetara’s love. Most people seem to think he implied as much in The Forest of Magi Oar when he commented on Lion-O having Cheetara’s confidence.
Poor guy. Now I really dont think he’s joining in on Lion-O’s competition. He seems to have already accepted defeat. 
But you can say that also when you feel the guy/girl is not the right one for the person, or you’re afraid him/her ill make the other one suffer, or just in not good enough.
He could be discouraged, but he’s not tapping out when he insisted to Lion-O that he is going with him to the Astral Plane after witnessing Cheetara’s kiss.
I recall someone wrote in a previous post, that the kiss could be how it was for Star Wars’ Luke, Leia and Han. But that I think was different, Leia had the intent to shut Han’s mouth up for the moment since he riled her up. So kissing Luke to purposely make Han jealous was acted on.
Cheetara’s kiss on Lion-O’s cheek had no intent against Tygra, she did it on her own whether it be just “As Friends” or “possibly more than friends” to encourage Lion-O.
I got that impression as well, especially after “the kiss”, although that kiss was what made him go into the Astral Plane with Lion-o.

@Solace316. Even if he doesn’t think she’ll ever return his feelings, that doesn’t mean he wont feel hurt and jealousy .
If my theory about him tossing up the whit flag is true, then I hope we get more flashback’s show casing how he got to be this way. Maybe he got picked on by other royal children when he was younger? Maybe they taunted him about not being a true prince.
Even adults say stuff they shouldnt witout realizing a child was in ear shot:(

To be honest I don’t get why the others didn’t go in there with him as well. Ah well, again for the sake of story. Maybe he’s planning to bring the stone back himself in order to show Lion-O up. Hope not, but probably so. Its not like this show is up there with consistency:thumbsup:
Exactly, he could have been bullied in so many ways despite being the King’s son.
That’s also a reason why I want to see Claudus’ wife / Lion-o’s mother, to see how she acter towrds Tygra as well. Maybe she rejected him for not being her son, but had to take him in because it was Claudus’ will (which will explain Lion-o’s “do it because I say so and I’m king” attitude) we don’t know.
I would love to see Lion-O’s mom–maybe she was more nurturing to Lion-O (for whatever reason) and encouraged some of his less than mainstream ideas. It would explain why each brother, despite living together all their lives, are also still very detached with one another. One spent all his time with dad learning the inner workings of the kingdom and military strategy, while the other spent his time with mom fostering his inquisitive and creative side.
Maybe we should start a thread speculating Tygra and Lion-O’s home life before the start of the series–there’s a lot to speculate about 
now that would be an interesting twist. but probably too progressive for a kids show. on the other hand it would probably get the show a lot of free publicity in the media too.

yeah I thought they’d drag it out a little longer too. maybe that’s tygra’s betrayal; winning cheetara. or maybe lion-o getting her is what makes tygra betray him.
