They never showed her eating it. I’ve heard a couple people say that and I’m really confused where that came from.
Hiding a relationship from someone you care about to spare their feelings doesn’t mean you’re being a jerk–it’s not the best option because honesty is always the best route, but people make mistakes.
But the prophecy didn’t say it was a big betrayal, just one Lion-O would least expect–that’s why I’m speculating it’s something more personal as opposed to “world saving levels.”
So, I’ve been reading this thread now for a while and everyone seems to think that Lion-o has it in the bag simply because zero relationship focus was put on Tygra and Cheetara AT ALL, the last flashback aside. That being said, can anyone argue as to why Tygra WILL get Cheetara and what evidence/reasoning are you using to come to that conclusion. Basically I’m saying, playing devil’s advocate, explain why the writers will have Tygra and Cheetara end up, and how will they justify it in the script if that is indeed what happens on friday?
i was under the impression it just got trampled when she fell over. never saw her eat anything. plus she’d be likely to be poisoned by eating a flower.
I know there are some flowers out there that are certainly edible. But I suppose it could be a poisonous one too, it is Thundera after all. Crazy flora and fauna out there as we all know from the OS.
I just want Tygra to have a fighting chance on friday and not be a plot device for Lion-o/Cheetara

You could argue that Tygra knows Cheetara on a deeper level because he saw her struggle with becoming a cleric. He knows why its so important to her. He knows about her personal struggle and her stubborn determination and in his own way supported her through it. Astral Plane could have been the foundation for a great romantic sub-plot for them. Given the opportunity to grow it would have been solid in a way we have yet to see from Cheet-O. In one flash back we get much more personal with both Tygra and Cheetara. Tygra’s feelings were there, and it looked like we could have gotten a little something from Cheetara if jagga hadn’t of picked that very moment to dump on her. Thus crushing the both of them:(
But how would he know how she struggled? All he did after she was kicked out was give her a flower and watch her from behind a statue. The least he could have done was get her a blanket and some food. And we don’t know who she’ll pick…
I totally feel you on all the above, my question is, is it enough of a motive for the writers to say @#$% it and pull the surprise none of us are expecting and end the episode with Tygra and Cheetara ending up together? Or would it just be too unjustified and hence, not gonna happen?
how about this scenario? tygra’s betrayal has nothing to do with cheetara, but she chooses him anyway. but tygra gets seperated from the group (on his own or lion-o forces him). so we finally know who she wants, but they still can’t be together.
Lion-O doesn’t seem to be the kind of person who would forcibly push Tygra out of the group IF Cheetara did indeed choose him. Remember the “Berbils” episode? Lion-O saw them sleep next to each other, and he did show an upset look but all he did was turn around and move on for the remainder of the episode without causing a problem related to that.
Although they did establish that Tygra and Cheetara had their encounter when they were young, it has yet to show if they maintained a friendship or otherwise over the years since. If more flashbacks are planned, this is one that needs more revelations.
And Yea they have shown to be comfortable with each other, again in “Berbils”, but nothing has been shown that they actually talk for long periods of time or are out alone doing anything ANYTHING that shows them spending way to much time together. The wink, and his catching of her falling, and the shoulder sleep are minor evidence on Tygra’s part, but nothing yet that shows Cheetara going out of her way for Tygra.
If anything, what Tygra said to Cheetara in their flashback seemed to upset her causing Tygra to nervously correct himself until Jaga appeared. So far, the most amount of talk Cheetara has spoken to Tygra about was her defending of Lion-O to him.
in my scenario I said the betrayal wouldn’t have anything to do with her.
i.e. in the scenario lion-o would’ve kicked him out for the betrayal NOT because of cheetara.
Ahh then I apologize on my misunderstanding. Well, that’s tough to write a thought on…what would happen in the aftermath of the upcoming betrayal…Well with Cheetara as one factor and Mumm-Ra coming back in to ruin their day, it’s anyone’s guess. And the showdown in the Astral Plane, dealing with whatever the betrayal would be revealed to actually be, and Mumm-Ra’s presence, Lion-O and Tygra are up for a bad bad day…
in your scenerio, how/why would Tygra betray him?
Ok, really nervous here: don’t want Tygra to be a traitor/bad guy, don’t want him to leave the group not even for an episode (that would most probable mean a non-Tygra ep), and want Tygra to be with Cheetara.
My worries: what if Tygra betrays Lino to get Cheetara, and she finds out later and dumps him for Lion-o?
Now, I said in an earlier post why I don’t think Tygra will betray his brother (has mostly to do with Claudus), but there are some more reasons why I think he won’t: he has a lot to lose by doing so, as clearly Cheetara would never be with him if he betrays Lion-o. Also, how would he explain himself to the others?
I really hope we find out it completely by the end of this Friday’s episode, and I mean all of it: Cheetara’s choice, the brothers coming to good terms at the end after the alledged betrayal, and finally some peace inside the gang.
That was actually my point. But i really don’t think he’d betray him. I don’t think Cheetara would get with him (whatever feelings she has for Lion-o nonwithstanding) if he betrayed him because that would mean he (might) join Mumm-ra and Mumm-ra killed Jaga. Jaga meant a lot to her.
Hopefully it does not come down to fratricide, brother killing brother just for power… but with kingship and a woman on the line, an ambitious brother might go to extremes. Tygra may possible teeter on that fine line. He wants the role of king, the sword and of course Cheetara.
Mumm-Ra might take advantage of that. Just my speculation, and hopefully I’m wrong on Friday, but what if Tygra beats Lion-O out of anger and jealousy in the Astral Plane and leaves him stranded in there? That would leave Tygra unable to wield the Sword of Omens since evil can’t touch it…although Grune was able to hold it just recently??? Anyway… 3 more days for all of us to see how extreme this betrayal may turn out to be.
While I am not a psychic, and cannot predict what the writers WILL do, I’m pretty sure I can predict what they WON’T do. That being said, here goes.
Tygra WILL not go evil. The writers would be making an ENORMOUS character change AND upset a large portion of the fan base, maybe the largest for all we know. And Tygra is a loyal thunderian, him intentionally going evil of his own accord WILL NOT happen.
The “betrayal” whatever it may be, WILL happen in this upcoming episode and be resolved. The prophet elephant said by tomorrow’s sunrise right? Or something along those lines? So, we WILL find out what “the betrayal” is.
We know that thought can become in the astral plane, much like the film “Sphere” where thought is manifested into reality. That being said, whatever issues Tygra may be having with Lion-o WILL be integral to the resolution of this story. Whether that involves their well documented “troubled relationship as brothers” or the other option; the Cheetara love triangle, remains to be seen. It may very well be both.
Those are my thoughts. As for who will get Cheetara? I’m going to make a prediction and say Tygra. Why? Because the writers of this show have continually surprised us, taken risks with the story, and made bold moves. And that is by far the bolder move. Will it happen? Dunno lol.
You know what? You miht have a good point with teh bolds in #1. Didn’t the writers/producers stated in the earlier descriptions they offered of Tygra that besides him being jealous, he’s really loyal to Lion-O? I think I remember something on that line.
About #2, yes, the betaryal will be known. It’s the aftermath what worries me now 
no idea. lol
Just to be clear I, personally, think the vision was misread. I can’t see Tygra outright betraying Lion-O.
I just like speculating on what might happen.
The main thing is that he doesn’t think Lion-O deserves to be king and deserve the things he is getting. He feels Lion-O is a bit of a spoiled brat and is just given everything while he has to work his butt off to get the things he has gotten/wants. Lion-O getting Cheetarah is pretty much contributing to this factor.
Now I do think Tygra is loyal to Lion-O as family but not as king. It’s the same with Lion-O in a way as well. Both brothers pretty much gotta get over their personal issues towards each other and learn to respect each other professionally.
As for the betrayl, it’ll definately be caused/influenced by Mumm-Ra. I.E. Mumm-Ra uses the Astral Plane to cause Tygra to be traumatized by his worst memories and his fears to make him vulnerable which incidently causes the Astral Plane to visual his thoughts/emotions which in turn attack Lion-O.
If Tygra does consciously betray Lion-O, then I think it’ll be him messing with Tygra’s head.
