Do I think Lion-O is going to force himself onto Cheetara? No. Not at all, Not at all X100. He knows she can turn him down, but that doesnt mean he’s not going to make it out to be a competition between he and his brother. Which someone brought up, may be because he feels he already has the upper hand. It still doesnt change the fact that (IMO) its immature and unfair to whoever has to be center fold in this little tug-o-war. Do I think Lion-O should be burned at stake? Nope. He just needs to realize when he sounds like an idiot.
Okay catching up since I haven’t got to express my feelings for newest triangle developments, been busy but now that I’m back…
It’s good to see some fresh thoughts from Cheet-o supporters gives some levelness to our discussions, gotta say though after Into the Astral Plane definitely thinking Cheetygra’s ship is sailing just fine (even if I am a bit worried about Tygra and Lion-O’s rivalry). Anyhow LOVED finding out my theories about Tygra’s feelings running much deeper than we could have guessed with Cheetara were correct. Seeing Tygra vulnerable to his feelings that he can’t even confess to a cat-woman he’s known for about a decade was heartbreaking and eye opening. I love seeing a powerful character have a fragile heart that no one suspects because they are too busy thinking that character is invincible/perfect, if that makes sense.
My feelings are Cheetara probably does at this point have some growing feelings for Lion-O probably blossoming from seeds of respect and pride at his leadership so far, but I don’t think that means Tygra doesn’t have a chance. Our favorite cheetah seems to me to have a thing for cats who are compassionate, brave and command respect and have a good dose humility, neither Tygra nor Lion-O seems to possess all these traits that would complete her checklist. YET. Point is that while Lion-O is growing Tygra is too, however this rivalry is causing major setbacks of one step forward two steps back (way back judging from how they both seemed to offer subtle support of the other only last episode only to have it completely destroyed less than a day later).
Now I agree Lion-O is being much more goading and mean about the triangle than Tygra but I do believe he truly doesn’t know how much it hurts his brother, the striped cat has been so very mute about the whole thing. I think Lion-O would be much more inclined to be less biting about it if he knew but by no means do I think he would stop his pursuit of Cheetara, I don’t see that happening.
But again I think this triangle isn’t going to be over any time soon especially looking back at the past history, its a nice set up to both Cheetara and Tygra that we’d been given hints of before through their comfort level with each other. This history or moments of familitary will continue to serve as a foundation before its over, before BAM Tygra has a strong defining moment that makes Cheetara notice and as I was always taught in english comp, you don’t set up a great foundation without putting a nice house on it!
If that makes any sense I’m exhausted from my day!

this episode confirmed 2 things for me: 1, that Tygra has truly deep feelings for Cheetara that run back to when they were kids, and 2, that Lion-O is 100% approaching this as a competition. his main goal is beat Tygra, and Cheetara just happens to be the prize that needs to be “won” in order for him to beat Tygra
Lion-O isnt competing in an effort to actually be with Cheetara at this point, only to beat his brother at something.
Lion-O still feels as if everything he wants is supposed to be given to him, regardless of what it is.
the Sword of Omens didnt really “choose” him so to speak. it can only go to him as, presumably, it has to stay in the blood line. it just given to him, he didnt earn it. and now he looks at Cheetara the same way.
i am looking forward to Lion-O being severely humbled over this and getting put in his place
Besides, my guess (my guess) is that Cheetara might have guessed that little tiger should be attached to the Royal family somehow to be dressed up like that… you won’t expect a what? 10, 12 years old kid to be dressed as a Royal Guard, do you? It must be a job for adults.

Bolds #1: just because Tygra feels/thinks Lion-o doesn’t deserve either the sword or Cheetara, it doesn’t necessarily imply that he wants them. Just that he doesn’t think Lion-o is not worthy of them. Sure he wants Cheetara (won’t discuss it), and he thinks he would be a better leader and a better match for Cheetara, but he has never said “give me that”. And in the episode “The Forest of Magi Oar” I think it was pretty clear he’s already resigned to his destiny.

But there might be the twist. Tygra put Gruen ina pedestal, the one who helped killing his father and turned him into an orphan (for a second time, I must say); whatever influence Grune had on him, I think is away by now.
I disagree here as well. After Cheetara scolded Tygra for not believing in Lion-o in “Joutrney to the Tower of Omens”, you could see his expression, he considered her words. And then, in “The Forest of Magi Oar”, Tygra told Lion-o it didn’t matter if he believe in him as long as he believed in himself; and by the end of that episode, Tygra told Lion-o to show what he learnt. I think in that specific episode, Tygra was very supportive and showed some confidence in his brother, adn I’m sure it was, in part, due of what Cheetara previously told him.
And we’ve bever seen Claudus spoiling Tygra. He even told Lion-o how proud he was of him, Tygra never got those words.
I think Tygra has shown big love for his brother throughtout these 12 eps.
Anyway, this post made me think a crazy theory: wouldn’t it be great if at the end Lion-o understands how important it is for Tygra to be king, and how little important it is for him, and gives it to Tygra? It will also break the “only lions can be kings” things and bringa whole new order of justice and fairness to Thundera, where the most apt is king and not only the heir. Just a thought.

I agree -in parts- with this. Lion-o has shown some concern for Tygra once or twice when he got hit, not verbally though.
But I do think Tygra has shown a bigger support to this brother than the other way round.

Maybe i don’t see the love that is there because i have an older sister and we’re more affectionate and closer…? But i think it would be great if at the end Tygra gets to be king and whoever Cheetara chooses (Tygra or Lion-o) can move on and be happy for her, i just really don’t want them to have Pumyra as a consolation prize.
Tygra has been supoportive to his brother despite challenging his decissions. He helped him with those lizardmen in the premiere, he has followed him despite everything, he showed support at the beginning and end of “The Forest of Magi Oar”, he even told Lion-o that their father would be proud of him at the end of “Petalars”, which I took as a sing of encouragement.
And I agree in that I hope they don’t turn Pumyra into a consolation prize.
We, the audience, knows that Lion-O cares about Tygra. The question is, does Tygra know that? When Lion-O has shown concern, Tygra has either been knocked out or been dangling upside down, and since he appears to have such big insecuriety issues, he could have convinced himself of all sorts of things (“Lion-O doesn’t care now that father is dead”, and things like that).
Tygra probably doesn’t think Lion-O hates him, at least, but insecurities can affect how people view themselves and the world in pretty weird ways.

The way he has been shy about is when she has been on him up close. I don’t blame him for getting pinkface cause of that. Regarding him winning over Tygra it seems to me it’s just a competition on Lion-O’s side and that it’s actually Tygra who loves her.

Good point. I think he does like Cheetara and has feelings for her, but is also clouded by the conflict he shares with Tygra. Just the same, Tygra’s feelings for Cheetara are beginning to mingle with his current resentment of Lion-O.
Let’s also remember, besides we’ve seen Tygra’s actually having feeling for Cheetara, Lion-o is a teenager, teenage guys are dominated by lust and would do anything for a girl. I don’t mean Lion-o doesn’t have any feelings for Cheetara, but in his case it may (may) be only attraction to the hot girl (which btw, seems to be the only girl he has ever been close to).

Well much as I try to be fair to Lion-O I kinda get this impression as well, while I have no doubt he cares for her I do believe most of the motivation is Cheetara is extreme eye-candy and she supports her king unwaveringly with that support bordering on possible attraction (I’m not completely convinced Cheetara likes Lion-O in that way, but its entirely likely)
But also to be fair to Lion-O what guy wouldn’t first be physically attracted to her? Her attractiveness is almost criminal! I’m sure Cheetara as an adult has never caused an adult cat to say ‘well gee I sure love that girl’s personality…’ it’s normal for teenage guys to first find motivation for pursuit to be physical desire, he doesn’t know Cheetara as well as Tygra so he hasn’t really had the chance to fall in love with who she is BUT so far they have spent a lot of time together and I haven’t really seen this shift much which sucks.
Tygra knows her and I believe loves the spotted cat, no doubt he too is physically attracted to her but you don’t spend 10 years guarding your heart too afraid to confess feelings to someone just because they are hot its deeper than that, I can’t help but root for him.

I don’t believe I myself have shown any disrespect or hate for any of the characters I like them all but some are more special to me, if you’ve interpreted ANY of my comments that way I’m sorry.
Hopefully you continue to post and try to remember most of people’s comments aren’t meant to be mean/disrespectful/hateful but can come off that way due to wording issues, I’ve found 99% percent of us are a very nice bunch that just can and will have different opinions. Agree to disagree when things are going south is all I can say.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.
I think Tygra’s the underdog and behind in the race, but he’ll catch up and make some headway too. Cheetar just needs to open her eyes more, like when Tygra saved her from Viragor, she finally noticed Tygra then in her close up. It seems Tygra’s biggest problem is he is “invisible” to Cheetara too much because he lacks the courage to “go for it” as it were. But he will. Then it’ll be on like donkey kong.
P.S. I’m really sad this friday is our last episode. When does episode 14 air after this, does anyone know the date when the show resumes?
