THIS is so very key. Also, since the premiere, we haven’t really seen Tygra flirt with Cheetara, which makes me think that he has a much better grasp of priorities (as he’s also shown), which may be more attractive to a dedicated person like Cheetara, in comparison to Lion-O, whom is still learning. I know it’s much more attractive to me 
Lion-O is not dedicated? I dunno, he hasn’t really put the ‘moves’ on Cheetara so to speak. She was the one that has been ‘flirting’ with him so to speak in the past. Not the other way around.
Oh, I’m definitely not saying Lion-O is not dedicated. I’m sorry if I gave that impression. He’s so genuine in everything he does, and I love that about his character. But Lion-O still has plenty of growing to do (Tygra does as well) but in the previous episode, if Tygra had been in the village with Lion-O, I do not see him encouraging any sort of wager for the Sword of Omens. A little spar or whatnot- “Go ahead Lion-O, you need the practice.” The guy mentions taking the sword, “OH HEX NO.” I was thinking about the Tower ep, and as someone mentioned somewhere, Tygra basically said, “Get the book, we’ll worry about everything else later.” In that instance, his focus was solely on achieving their goal, and to someone like Cheetara (my interpretation of her character) who has been trained to always place the needs of other’s before her own, no matter the circumstance (protect the crown) this could be something that draws her.
I dunno, I think Cheetara is probably also drawn to loyalty as well and Tygra has been doubting Lion-O in the past. He still follows Lion-O but he doesn’t seem to ‘believe’ in him like Cheetara does. The latest episode that showed that was the Journey to the Tower of Omens episode where Tygra and Panthro showed showing skepticism at being able to find the Tower of Omens in the beginning of the episode.
I think the big thing is that Tygra is more focused on duty while Lion-O is more focused on loyalty that it can become a flaw.
I certainly agree with you her valuing loyalty- it’s the way she was raised and trained. And yeah, Tygra doesn’t have a lot of confidence in his lil bro, but as discussed on another thread, that’s also a fairly normal reaction within families. I’m in my twenties and my adopted older sister has only now begun to acknowledge what I do independently of her.
Yet, for someone to place obligations and responsibilities first, they must also have a degree of loyalty and integrity, otherwise there’d be a lack of motivation to carry out said duties. The expectation is that family would display more among each other, but even in daily life that’s not always the case. I imagine Lion-O would have been the kid getting into scrapes at school in the ‘yo momma’ scenario (loyalty and family pride, naturally), but I’m not so sure Tygra would have done the same. Balance is necessary-though I’m definitely not condoning any sort of disloyalty.
It’s going to be interesting to see how these new conflicts are developed that is for sure. Now you’ve got me kinda hype imagining a sitch where Tygra has to decide between a person and whatever his goal is at that moment.
I think Tygra would get into ‘yo momma’ situations as well but only to an extent. He wouldn’t get into a situation where he would end up losing the Sword of Omens to the Duelist like Lion-O did. He doesn’t have nearly as much of a temper like Lion-O does. Though I think after the Duelist and Drifter episode, I think Lion-O learned a bit about controlling his temper along with how to fight better.
I think Tygra does have a temper and has showed it from time to time. But I think he also knows when to think things first; I think that’s the only thing that remains -at minimum- from his OS counterpart.
Also, I agree with those saying Cheetara is inclined towards loyalty, and that she will see it growing in Tygra, and that will be what finally catches her attention: a man who grows and matures before her eyes, that passes from being a “rebel” to being a loyal one, she will see his change and realize he’s becoming a better man.
I agree. We’ve seen his hotheadedness. He is passionate. He can be inclined to blow up, but he’s shown that he can reign it in for the sake of the mission.
For example, when Cheetara took a hit in Journey to the Tower of Omens. Lion-O’s initial reaction was to run to her, yet Tygra directed him to keep fast on the book. I think we know enough about the character to say he dint mean for her to be forgotten, just that they had priorities that were bigger then their own welfare. Also in ROTR, when Lion-O started tripping out Tygra could have mouthed off multiple times, but chose to remain rather mute about it. That shows that he can keep a calm head in high stress situations.
Its so hard to distinguish between loyalty and duty. Isnt a dutiful person also loyal to their duties?

Isn’t the bases of Cheetara’s loyalty a product of her duty as a cleric? Wasn’t it some form of loyalty that prompted Tygra to fight with Lion-O against those muggers in the premier?
What episode is ROTR? It sounds as a mix of “Return of the Jedi” and “Lord of the Rings”… “Return of the Rings”?

You know whats kind of funny about the ages? Their pretty much identical to the premier three characters in avatar the last air bender. Its funny because people (myself included) are always finding new ways in which the shows are similar

Cheetara is 19
and Tygra is 19/20

Anywho, I thought the hug was nice. It fanned my little shipper heart. Hopefully the next time we catch those two cuddling there will be a fare share of pillow TALK!
Those few years between them can make a huge difference in maturity- Tygra likely knows how to control his temper better, and might know when to keep his mouth shut. But that’s a big maybe on the second one. 
Also Chique, I don’t think it was a hug, Cheetara looked like she kinda just fell over onto his arm and shoulder lol, not as cuddly as a hug should be. As much as I want TxC 
but I’d surely call it a nudge in that direction.
Yeah, it was no hug. It was just Cheetara resting and laying against Tygra’s arm. The one covered in black so you actually don’t really see it in that setting and position. If he was actually hugging her you would actually see his hand on the other side of her body.

Correction: The scene was nice. I think them snuggling up in the rain translates that ( though we barely even hear the two talk) they are pretty comfortable around each other.
