Well we do have an official picure of how Lion-O will look, it’s the only shoot we have of the grown up Lion-O.I am drooling over it whenever i see it.This was one of the very first pics from the new show we had in our hands!!

He has been my one and only favorite hero, Comic/Cartoon character ever since i was 8!!
Yep, to me, his image has been a sort of quintessential heroic figure in the realm of sword fantasy, much like John Carter, Link(of Zelda), and ofcourse, He-Man.
Yeah I think it was just a concept design released in order to create a buzz for the new stuff that was in the pipeline.

That’s how I read it too, with the other stones being a wisdom stone or knowledge stone or peace stone or something like that. Each one distinct but coming together as a whole.

Yes it is a conceptual design, still the only official image from WB we have so far of how Lion-o will look grown up. Yet, the important thing isn’t if he will resemble exactly to the above representation, more or less he will be close to that.The main thing is that Lion-O will mature and develop in skill and character.As the story progress,Lion-o will leave behind his callowness and start acting more like a responsible adult.This is how the majority prefers him besides.
For me it is great to observe step by step Lion-o’s evolution and maturity process.

That was just an early promotional image before everyone’s looks were finalized. Which is why he’s in silhouette. It isn’t really an indication of what he’ll look like. The sword design isn’t even the final design.
Even the logo is wierd.
Hi everyone. New member to the forums posting here to show love for Lion-O! IMO, even though I also love Tygra, I think 2011 Lion-O guy needs more love and appreciation. 
I think Lion-O here is very great.
The problem i have with fans of the show is tha way they complain at it.
- It’s for kids
- It airs on a kids tv station
- They only have 20 mins for the episode
- The show is dependent on the toyline.
- They compare it to much with the Old Series
They expect superb writing, superb everything to make it easy. I for one went in for Thundercats with all those 5 points in my mind, and for all that the show is amazing.

I absolutely agree. Even though I do myself want and expect great writing/animation etc, and love debating plot points, I do think that certain things like some episodes feeling rushed can be excused by the time constraints the writers have, etc.
Would be amazing to see how they actually plan it. Can’t just fell rushed for US yes? If they watch it, they should notice their “faults”.
I think they have to probably cut a lot of stuff out, too. It’d be great to actually see what they could do with an hour per episode (though some episodes didn’t really need any more time to add to them).
The Pit needed that time.
I think it did as well. It was still a good episode. I think the trials needed a little more time, and maybe Legacy could’ve used a little more.
I strongly believe in the next 26 episodes Lion-O will be much more solemn, inspiring awe and admiration to his surrounding. At some point, provided we see the second batch, the shoe will be on the other foot for Lion-O.
One thing is for sure, so far his way to Lordship is a bumpy road.Even his own team is challenging his every step.But i prefer this narration point.It’s like the viewer is evolving along with the hero and we get to know from first hand his maturity progress. In the OS, his transition to Lord was de facto and everything seemed easier. Now Lion-O has the actual enemies which more often than not have the edge, moreover his friends and companions are giving him a hard time.Pumyra is the latest example.I believe no other ‘Kid’ Cartoon has taken such a brave path of conflicting incidents between characters of the same team, or even worse showing a protagonist who is constantly at odds. The writing team is doing superb job.

I think the trials should have been at least a three parter myself. Preferably an episode per trial, which technically would have one for each of the cats, then one for Mumm Ra. We could have spread out the B story of what was happening with the other cats between the episodes easily enough, say a few minutes here and there.

Absolutely agree, the writing is top notch, as is the voice acting and animation. Absolutely amazing!
I think in the next season, we’ll see a more king like Liono, leading the remnants of the Thunderian civilisation and stepping up to that plate much more.
