I dunno about solo time on his part, maybe some in depth training on how to fight better. Read a situation at hand instead of running in blind with out a thought of how its might play out. Or maybe time alone away from the others training would be nice. Go off learn some killer moves and growing up would do a kitty good.
They could always borrow from the comics of several years ago, and have Lion-o go into the book of omens to train. Just make sure they pull him out of the book before 5 years pass.
Ever see Ninja Scroll? put his sword on his back the pointed straw hat and him eating a rice ball. That would be my ripped off imaging of Lion-O off adventuring.

Yeah, I want to see more of the others, but I want Lion-O to grow at the same time. Maybe they could split an episode with what he’s doing on his own and then what the crew is doing? Or everyone individually training? With a bit more of a predictable focus on Lion-O, or even have the boy just wham-bam-thank-ya-mam and everyone be shocked and he gives an explanation they can hardly believe…but are forced to accept. And they know he’s trolling so hard…but have no way of disproving it. I think that would be hilarious 
Me personally I would like to see him flip out. I mean people have been killed for less. That or a training solo episode. I mean for the most part starting off Lion O rolled solo. The other Thundercats just came to help. Though definetly rooting for him flipping out. It would be too funny.
Call me old-fashioned, but I think it would be cool if Lion-O, if we are going to see him grow phisycally as we go along, that at some point when he is more grown, he’d have a more, well,… I guess the word/term I would use is a more “Frazetta”-like look. I very much wouldn’t mind if that collar he’s got under the armor is removed eventually. Armor is important, no doubt. Definately keep the right shoulder-armor. As for the rest, let it be, not precisely the OS Lion-O attire, but more or less something like this(sans those wrist bands and boots):

They went through all the trouble of giving him pants this time around. I’d really hate to see him revert back to a underwear/loincloth look.
Well, it isn’t a loincloth/underwear that I’m suggesting, but really a kind of a Roman soldier-type tunic(I guess that would be the word)…but actually, the panths could stay. Just loose or shorten that long collar of his at some point.

Well we do have an official picure of how Lion-O will look, it’s the only shoot we have of the grown up Lion-O.I am drooling over it whenever i see it.This was one of the very first pics from the new show we had in our hands!!

I expect a lot from this Lion-O…If you watch closely on his claw,you can see 4 stones, probably the rest of the Spirit stones…Oh boy the best have yet to come!!
To be fair, we should put the two Lion-Os from the OS and the NS side by side and compare them, only when the NS Lion-O matures and grows up resembling to the above…
So far Lion-O is just a 'young cub,-as Mumm-ra puts it!On the inside but outside as well.A point which was circumvent by the writers in the original by contriving the- malfunctioned suspension capsule- idea which aged him to adulthood during the Trip to Third Earth.So he was a boy inside an adult body whereas now he is a teenager growing up naturally. I like a lot that we are experiencing step by step Lion-o’s maturity from all aspects.This way we learn and become more acquianted with the hero .
But it is true we have to witness as well his negative points and the unedeveloped side of his character.I understand some fans dislike that and find many flaws on his personality but to be honest it is just a normall process of him reaching to maturity. It’s great to see him progressing from an insecure and uncertain prince to a true Lord of the Thundercats…We just have to show some patience.

The stone thingy makes no sense. There is only 4 stones in total, and we already have ONE spirit stone and the WAR stone. Are the others gonna be called spirit stone aswell?
