Yes, in “Garden of Delights” he was both, as he was strong enough to overcome the addiction. But I’d have wanted him to save the other TCs himslef.

About “Superpower Potion”, Panthro was as much a victim as Tygra, as was Snarf

Yeah panthro was… technically mumm-ra and slithe were victims too though.

Cool. I was born in the mid 80’s but a lot of older cartoons were shown on TV here in Northern Ireland long after they had finished.

Ah hah. well there ya go. I am from the US so I get the US shows right away. though south korea got miraculous ladybug before we did.

Don’t get me started on what they did to Tygra on the reboot. I could go on for hours on why I hated what they did to him there.

I haven’t really seen that show but heard it is supposed to be good.
They were still showing the original Filmation He-Man cartoon here until around 1990/1. Thundercats was on regularly until 91 and even had a brief showing over the Easter holidays of 94.

I am pleased that Chilla turned out a lot better than this design.

I like the 80s better, but I didn’t dislike the 2011 version at all. Yes, they made him arrogant and at first I didn’t like it, but then I got to understand the character’s psychology and kind of feeling sad for him and liking him.

I see. I don’t like what they did to him in the reboot. then against I don’t like what they did to anyone in the reboot though I do like some of the designs… but not panthros. he looks like a gorilla instead of a cat.

I guess they thought tygra was too “boring” in the original so they basically made him an anime cliche.
