You know if Pumyra is still going to be the medic of the group then she’s probably gonna be a jerk doctor like House or something like that where she has a crappy bedside manner with her patients but is an excellent healer.

I love Pumyra’s design!! She was my favorite female character on the OS and seeing how close they kept her design is amazing!! They really are keeping to the little things that made the OS great and to me that is great. The idea of her being angry at Lion-O I think is brilliant writing. It is something that makes so much sense, a people feeling betrayed and abandoned by their governing body (government)whichever. It makes so much sense but honestly it is such an interesting take that I don’t think many shows would have gone.
Bravo, to all the writers on this series. The story writing and even dialogue in the NS is far beyond what I ever expected, with all the nods to the OS and even nods to fans.
Definitely looking forward to this episode as well as the next few. CAN’T WAIT to see the new Castle Plundarr, or if there is a Castle Plundarr on Mount Plundarr. I hope and think the next few episodes are going to be some of the best yet.

I do agree it makes sense that her character seems to have a gruff personality by feeling abandoned by her kingdom. I really hope they stick to the original characters. I really want to see Bengali and Lynx-o by the end of this season.

Idk about Wilykit or Wilykat. Maybe they would just be one of their main patients that are always getting hurt by getting themselves into silly mischief. X3

Second that’s already been mentioned and the possiblity has already been put out.

I would not mind if they found the cats there, i just think it would be to much characters for them to handle as it seems they can’t even give the current cast enough time for each episode.

I’d like to see her having the jumping abilities and acrobatic skills as in the original. Also, she used to be a medical expert.Though this wasn’t fully developed and shown in the OS because she had very limited screen time..Overall, her character has the potential to be of great importance and play an integral part in the team.

Her new design is dynamic leaving behind the
puerile image she had. I hope they have upgraded her weapons, because the slingshot was so puerile and nonessential.

If you read the episode summary, there is a character from Panthro’s past in the episode that ties in with the comics. So even though they’re going to give plenty of time to Pumyra, there are multiple stories happening at once, which is a change from the last couple episodes. So, a flashback for Panthro is alright with me as long as they give Pumyra a good chunk of the 22 minutes.

I agree, bearing in mind we can still have a whole episode devoted to her flashbacks like the other cats have had. I think to do her history AND her introduction in one episode may have sold both a bit short.

I couldn’t agree more!!! This series is outstanding and has surpassed all my hopes for it, and completlely squashed any fears I had they might ruin my beloved thundercats.

I completely disagree. There is more than enough room for all the original cats plus the 3 thunderians. And the more episodes the better!

“Red Sonja” - that’s the 80’s movie she reminds me of. Pum-Ra was dead-on about Brigitte Nielsen. And she’s got the G.I. Joe references too - Destro’s wrist-rocket and Scarlett’s crossbow.

Yeah that was my initial thought too. We’ll have to wait to see the ‘PIT’ but he looked very similar!!

And yet quite clever when you think about it, as the Puma’s roar/calls actually sound a lot deeper and throatier than a Cheetahs. I don’t know if this is deliberate or not, but if it is, very clever!

I guess that is also why we got a bow and 3 arrows with the 2nd UK magazine!

Well, in the NS this might be the case but in the OS she was overshadowed by the New Thundercats, Lynx-o had the most protagonistic role, then Bengali and Pumyra had a limited appearance.
