How credible is this source?..and how does he not know what the original Pumyra looks like?!! you can find it all over the net! LOL
he’s credible. he had images from new alliances like a month or two before it aired over here in the states.
I read the spoilers for “The Pit” and, from my POV, it looks like the “Lion-O/Pumyra Romance” theory has gone right out the window. I don’t even know if she stays with the group.
I think it’s been updated since you read it, but if you read on it says it can basically be assumed that she stays with them. I’m guessing it ends somewhat abruptly before they go onto the next mission and she comes with them. I can’t imagine she would WANT to stay a prisoner of the dogs.
As with the relationship thingy, apparently she hates him at first because he didn’t rescue the other cats (not sure what scenario is going on here), but then after the two fight and he refuses to hit her, she realizes he does care for everyone. After that she likes him and apparently even flirts with him. So I guess there’s a start to something. Sorry for spoiling a bunch of stuff for people who haven’t read the other article yet.
With her change in attitude it sounds to me like she was already attracted to him on some level which probably only served to tick her off even more (nothing is worse than having feelings for someone you’re angry with). Once his intentions and motivations were revealed she could let go of that and start acting on what was there all along.
I found the information in the source very interesting. I enjoyed hearing about her look and weapon (wont say any more about that here).
Why are Ireland still getting episodes before everyone else? It just seems insane! Grr! I’m just jealous!
Okay, here’s what I’ve been able to gather from the other thread on the pit.
SPOILER ALERT!!! LOOK AWAY NOW IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW!!! (Pretty redundant I know, but there may be one or two!)
Pumyra looks pretty much as she did in the OS, only younger, more like LionO’s age. Her hair is very similar too. Pretty p*** poor description I know, but that is all the detail they had on that thread.
She has a weapon incorporated into a wristband, some form of crossbow by the sounds of things, rather than a sling.
It seems they are exploring the story of how some Thunderians would be angry/let down by their leader (LionO) not turning up sooner to rescue them or band them together, or even failing them by letting Thundera fall. A very interesting turn and quite realistic as in any society there is bound to be people who feel like that (much more interesting and realistic than yet another 'love interest for LionO story!)
Unfortunately from what I’ve read it seems she gets over this pretty quickly as she realises LionO is a good king and wants to protect Thunderian citizens by his refusal to fight her. It would have been quite interesting to see this span out a little more slowly if that is truly the case.
It is unclear from the description, but quite possible, that she joins the cats after this episode.
So from the spoilers I read everything sounds pretty damn promising. And the Lion O and Pumyra romance looks like a definite possible GO LOL. I like the weapon choice..and still hope she has an upgrade in the outfit department. The only thing I’m concerned about is her change in attitude towards Lion O in one episode..i preferred her still being resentful towards him…perhaps she will still hold a grudge of some sort..she appears to be quick to anger…after being enslaved as a gladiator it wouldn’t surprise me. I’m putting money on the idea that she misinterprets something between Lion O and Cheetara (maybe his apology?..still waiting on that)…and jealousy starts brewing…I’m kind of hoping that’s not the case though..cause frankly Cheetara needs a break from all the misunderstandings.
I think she will stick with them. In the thread with all the spoilers, they still seem to try to be a little cryptic and just give an overall summary plus their opinion. I actually like this more because, for example, I watched the Young Justice episode that was new yesterday on last Tuesday and it kinda ruined it for me. I wish I would have waited for it. Therefore, I really don’t want to know a lot, and what I know now is hopefully all I will until the episode (unless they have previews or something).
Maybe someone should post spoiler warnings in the title of this thread?
Part of me feels bad for Lion-O. Sucks that he had to get his butt kicked to prove a point:( ((rip him apart? No I like Lion-O now don’t do that. Can’t wait to see what kind of moves she’s got)) Also, I love that she’s probably a lot more feisty than Cheetara. I still hope she can keep some of the tude, just as a character trait. The blaming Lion-O for her enslavement isn’t necessary.
@Sir_Sapphire I agree. She probably is attracted to him, which made her a anger and resentment all that more big of a deal.
Maybe i’m just fishing about my problems with “The Pit”, but here’s the thing with me
Lion-O is leading a quest: first for the Book of Omens and now for three magical stones that Mumm-Ra can’t get his hands on and to reunite the animals against him. How could Lion-O be faulted for doing all of that?
I’ve finally decided that i’m not too comfortable with the idea of Pumyra hating Lion-O at first.
a.) Because a lot of cute, animated couples start out on good terms. Tygra and Cheetara certainly did. Somehow, the idea these two starting on such negative terms doesn’t feel right. I still hope that they end up as a couple, but i just don’t think this was the best way to start things out.
b.) This is just a huge change from OS, back then, Pumyra was quite happy to see Lion-O and immediately took a liking to him (in a platonic way, of course).
I’m definitely glad that Pumyra’s appearing on the show.

The general population wouldn’t know that. Jaga sent Lion-O on the quest for the book as they were escaping the palace.
About the episode Her changing her mind quickly about Lion-O sounds a lot like how fast Panthro changed his mind about him.
[SPOILER]1. Does Pumyra know about any of that? Either way, she’s been forced to fight as entertainment for the dogs. That’s a pretty ugly set up. She’s been forced into a horrible situation, and her leader failed to protect her from it. It’s not his fault, but the civilians look to the crown to protect them and their homes.

As she get to know Lion-O (especially the new and improved one) maybe she will start to see him in a better light, which could lead to something more. She’s already forgiven him for “abandoning” her. Regarding her interaction with Lion-O:
It’s real easy to forgive and warm up to someone when they’re willing to let you kill them in order to apologize for the pain you endured.
I’m starting to think Lion-O just might be Jesus.

Also, the thread now says that Kit and Kat come across a thief or something. I guess it’s some sort of side thingy.
I guess my real problem with this story is that i was one of the posters who was hoping for this plot:
Lion-O finds Pumyra, wants to free her and offers himself to fight in her place in exchange for her safe release. Pumyra is touched by how much Lion-O is risking to save a total stranger and pretty much falls for him right then and there. She joins up with the TCats, the series goes on
This plot however, just doesn’t work for me all that well. I feel the need to watch, if only to see what Pumyra looks and sounds like. But this just doesn’t seem to bode well for future events.
Lets say the writers do decide to do the “New Thundera” storyline. How is Lion-O going to win over his people if they’re all like Pumyra and think he abandoned them (even though he’s been out there fighting for the Honor of his people and has been trying to defeat the monster responsible for all their grief)? He’s already having trouble reuniting the other animals. This only seems to take the problem of the Thunderians not liking Lion-O and makes it worse.
No one in Thundera thought Lion-O could do the job right, and even though he’s king now, I’m worried they still won’t follow him like they did Claudus.
I have to say, Simba from “The Lion King” didn’t have to deal with this when he came back.
On a completely unrelated topic: true, some animated relationships start off rocky, but i was that Lion-O and Pumyra would much like characters from certain other popular shows met (not exactly the same but similar):
American Dragon: Jake Long - Jake and Rose were on friendly terms the minute they met
Avatar: The Last Airbender - Aang and Katara were friends the moment they met
Ben 10 - Julie and Ben got off to a very friendly start
Dragon Ball - Goku and Chi Chi were childhood sweethearts and were more or less friends back in the day
Gargoyles - Goliath and Elisa became friends from the very start
Kim Possible - Kim and Ron were friends since childhood
Teen Titans - Robin and Starfire, and Terra and Beastboy, all got off to a great start
…And Disney and Don Bluth have made multiple movies where a couple meets and are at least friends at first.
The point i’m trying to make is that the show seems to be going back to making Lion-O the fall guy for a problem, especially with a character who many were hoping would be a possible Love interest. I guess a “Love at first sight” plot would’ve been a bit forced, but Tygra had little trouble winning over Cheetara, why does Lion-O have to suffer for Pumyra?
