I gotta say I like Pumyra’s design. It’s similar to her original design yet it’s different as well.
I do wonder though will she change clothes in the next episode once she’s out of that prison/gladiator ring.
Oh god I hope not! I love her just the way she is.
I’m not really seeing her wearing anything dramatically different than what she is currently wearing but she is pretty much wearing nothing but rags right now while everyone else in the group is wearing much better looking clothes.
From the art Dan Norton posted it looks like her clothes aren’t that raggedy and it may be some kind of fur trim rather than just a ripped edge. She can’t be too underdressed if she’s such a good fighter the Dogs are actually advertising her battles.
I really like the new look. It is a good cross of classic and new!

Can’t wait to see this one - it looks like a winner. It’s got the outside animal culture like “Duelist”, new characters and, from the preview clips, animation on par with “Native Son”.

Well, the old Pumyra had a sort of 1950’s style haircut so maybe it’s just tradition that her hair is a good thirty years out-of-date with real-world styles. 
I love the preview and I’m starting to wonder if CN’s been reading my mind. She’s so much like I imagined Xendara would be; a Thunderian who isn’t happy to see Lion-O at first glance. Now he has to get his weapon back again and fight another cat.

Yeah, Ocelli and I really need to start working on our tinfoil hats. Again, it’s almost like they somehow worked-in details of the fic we want to write!
Pumyra as depicted here is almost exactly how we imagined Xendara. She’s got an abrasive personality, and doesn’t recognize Lion-O’s authority at all. We also gave her a background as a gladiator like they did for Pumyra here; although in our story, she was a Thunderian refugee who had been captured by the Mutants at a young age and grew up in the slave pits, then later sent to a Mutant-run arena in a sector of space called the Badlands where she rose to prominence as one of the fiercest gladiators, and earned the attention of Slithor who ordered her as the subject for some medical experimentation.
The interesting thing is that while it seems they’re positioning Pumyra to have a love/hate relationship with Lion-O, we had Xendara set up with Panthro instead.
Oh yeah, and props once again for the Wilhelm scream!
The compact crossbow was a very clever idea.
I am so glad we got a preview!. I was afraid we were not going to get any this week. Dan Norton did a really good job on Pumyra’s character design. I really hope he sticks with her outfit.When I watch the previews, I was surprised how her voice sounded gruff. She is definitely going to be the tom boy in this group lol!
You know if Pumyra is still going to be the medic of the group then she’s probably gonna be a jerk doctor like House or something like that where she has a crappy bedside manner with her patients but is an excellent healer. 
I am soooooo looking forward to this episode! A pi$$ed off Pumyra is so different…I love it!
I love Pumyra’s design!! She was my favorite female character on the OS and seeing how close they kept her design is amazing!! They really are keeping to the little things that made the OS great and to me that is great. The idea of her being angry at Lion-O I think is brilliant writing. It is something that makes so much sense, a people feeling betrayed and abandoned by their governing body (government)whichever. It makes so much sense but honestly it is such an interesting take that I don’t think many shows would have gone.
Bravo, to all the writers on this series. The story writing and even dialogue in the NS is far beyond what I ever expected, with all the nods to the OS and even nods to fans.
Definitely looking forward to this episode as well as the next few. CAN’T WAIT to see the new Castle Plundarr, or if there is a Castle Plundarr on Mount Plundarr. I hope and think the next few episodes are going to be some of the best yet.

Judging by the shot of them in the cages together it looks like they’re about the same height, Lion-O might be just a hair taller.

His legs were together and she had her legs spread a little a part. She can be the same size as cheetara.
His legs are spread out too and he’s hunched over a bit, I still say they’re roughly the same height.
