I am not really that into loose figures but when it comes to the Ultra-rares i guess choices would be limited…

How does everyone feel about that price for that figure? does the rarity outweigh the fact that it is well worn?
grap a magic eraser and that figure will clean up nicely. I have no problem buying figures with marks or writing on them. Since the margic eraser came out all that crap comes off very easy now
That figure is missing way to much paint to be worth that much money, just goes to show you how far people will go for a rare figure.
Let me ask you this, when was the last time you saw a Thunderwings Lion-O for sale? How much did it go for? This is a rare example and what the market would bare is $160 - thats the great thing about eBay - you get a real world price on Collectible items.
I will never be able to afford a MOC Thunderwings Lion-O at 3-4-5K or whatever they sell for but seeing this go for $160 gives me hope of finding a loose one and being able to add it to the collection without cashing out the 401K
TBH i dont think that liono has THAT much paint missing. I reckon it would clean up well.. i Think it was worth what was paid
there are a few good lots of thundercats up on ebay right now, very fair prices. Example - Lion-o/Mumm-Ra for $14.99 not bad. Theres also another bengali for 75 and a pumyra for 65. I found a tygra and cheetara for 20 as a lot which i needed so im happy
Unfortunately the bidding for the thunderwings lion-o was only open to america. Shipping and as far as I know bidding wasn’t open to the UK/Europe so he may have even limited the price this went for. Bearing in mind the last loose thunderwings lion-o with thunderwings went for over £250 GBP. This one bearly hit £100.

I’ve only been collecting properly again in the last 3 months, so it must have been 6-8 weeks ago. That was in the USA but they shipped worldwide. It looked clean but was photographed with the thunderwings attached and described as thunderwings lion-o. It was possibly slightly better quality but not compared to the price jump bearing in mind the loose thunderwings add minimal value as these only go for £15-£25 loose. This still went fairly cheap at half the price of the last one to appear.

It actually went for $406 dollars described as near mint. Well over twice the price this one ended at!!!
I remember when I built my original collection I spent about $1500 on everything through out the years. I sold the collection for $2000 abotu a year ago. Now had I held on to it I prolly could have gotten doulble. Oh well.

Believe it or not I used to have 3 loose Thunderwing Lion Os, all bought off Ebay. The first 2 had some minor paint wear. I paid around $80 a piece for them. The 3rd was mint and looked as if it was just pulled off the card. I paid $230 for it and it came with the original card and Thunderwings toy. That being said this has been a few years ago. A few months back I sold all 3 and even though I made some money off the figures I wish I would have kept them a little longer after seeing prices like this. The thing about about Ebay is that it only takes 2 people to run up the price.
I am sure that they sell more often than realized as most listing only show the front of the figure…I know that, actively collecting for 30 days, I have seen nearly every Thundercats item be listed for sale on eBay or online stores, its just whether someone is will to cough up 3500 for an 8-Back orange hair Lion-O AFA 85…I know i am not lol
Me either. The Twings Lion O is pretty tough to find so who am I to say that figure went for too much. I have only seen around 8 or so loose in the 5 years I have been on Ebay. I am very picky about the condition of my figures though and that seemed pricey compared to my past experiences. In fact I seen a much nicer one go for close to $90 with the Thunderwings toy (I know the wings themselves are not that expensive) a while back. That was before the confirmation of the new stuff though which is surely causing some of the vintage stuff to go up because more buyers are coming into the market.

The guy who bought these got a fairly good deal. Less than £45 per carded figure with pumyra, mumm-ra, lion-o, tigra, panthro in the mix.
Explain to me this, what is the point of sending an enclosed Toy to afa like the Thundertank and the Cat’s lair for instance, where the Figure and the Blister subgrades actually don’t exist at all since the Figure/Vehicle/Play set are inside the Box/Card and you can’t see them and there isn’t a Blister or Bubble to be graded
So the entire grading goes to the Card!!!
And someone pays such a huge amount for having a graded Box…
