Cheetara’s power set ROCKED this episode. Im going to Toys R Us TODAY! My jaw was on the floor when she ran up that tower. Almost made me wish I could go back in time, and show it to my then 9 year old brother.

I still have my concerns about her developing a romantic relationship with Lion-O. If its developed enough it will take away too much from HER story line. If its not developed enough then it still overshadowed her story line and it sucked. Personally, her I believe in you thing is too Katara-ish. Its kind of corny too. Just IMO.

Yeah, that was Lion-O’s thing in the first episode before the lizards attacked. Cheetara was pretty much the one that saved his butt though he would say he didn’t need the help that first time. 
Problem, is that I think Lion-O in this series does need the encouragement. I was under the impression he never really got much support regularly growing up with constantly being compared to Tygra and his odd obession with technology. She was pretty much the first one in the series to support him being himself.
On when the love triangle thing is gonna start, I think it started at the end of the episode with Panthro telling Tygra to stop drooling when Cheetara ran up the walls of the tower to get to the top of it to help Lion-O. From there it could result in Tygra starting to pursue Cheetara. Though whether she’ll actually be interested in him or not depends on what kind of love triangle this is going to be.
Aww, ya beat me too it. I was actually just coming back here to say this, though you worded it better then I would of.
But that’s what I think too. Lion-O never felt he was ready to be king because no one else did, and he probably still feels that way, which is kinda shown by how easily he just gets upset at times. He needs any encouragement Cheetara gives him, even if it is cheesy. Especially since no one else gives him any.
Awww that was a great point you guys. I never thought about Lion-O needing the encouragement. I guess I just want more constructive encouragement from her.

Like jaga said, Lion-O is not ready. I think he needs more than what shes giving him from his council.
This week’s ep was Cheetara’s best sof ar. Loved how determined she was, but also caring and supporting, not onoy towards Lion-o, but also Jaga. Hope we get to see more of her previous relationship with him.
About the love triangle, you know my opinion: I want her to be with Tygra (since the OS).
Count me as a Cheetara fan this last episode was the best for Cheetara and really showed how important she is for the group, now if they could make a whole episode focused on her it would be great.
About the love triangle, I think most people expect Cheetara to be with Tygra because of all the hints from the OS and what happened in the (awful in my opinion) comics, but since this is a new story with new characters and new setting I hope the writers don’t feel the need to do things the same way or to repeat situations.
I don’t care too much if Cheetara ends up with Tygra or Lion-O, either one would be ok, but if I could choose it would be Cheetara-Lion-O just for originality.
And talking about the love triangle I found this fanart, Cheetara is there so it qualifies as Cheetara-fanart right? (If not then tell me and I will remove it).

Hero gets the girl. The oldest romance trope in the book. How is that original? From what im gathering from some of the post is the Cheetara expressed romantic interest in Lion-O not Tygra. I think from most of the fans being so young when the OS premiered they just assumed that the “parents” of the group were married/dating. That and Lion-O being a man child would have made Cheetara kinda strange. So from your logic wouldn’t it be more original if Cheetara got with Tygra?

When I said original I was talking about not repeating the same situation that happened in the OS, I liked Cheetara-Tygra in the OS for the reasons you just mentioned.
But I don’t see the need for that to happen here, this is a whole new series, Lion-O is not a man-child he is a teenager here, and Tygra is not the wise modest guy anymore, he is a jerky guy with a big brother complex and Cheetara is not as passive as the original, my point is, these are not the same characters of the OS, so just because Tygra and Cheetara got together in the OS and the comics doesn’t mean it will happen again.
But anyway, as I said I’m fine with either choice, but now if Panthro… nah never mind :p.
There was no romance between anyone in the OS. At all. Cheetara wasn’t with Tygra. She wasn’t with Lion-O. She wasn’t with any of them. That’s always been just people seeing what they wanted to see.

There was one tiny visual hint of an interest between Lion-O and Cheetara in the episode “Sixth Sense”, otherwise this post is spot on!

From what ive been reading on here that was my understanding. That there were no official couples in the OS, but people see what they want to see. Nice way to put it.
Yeah for instance when I was a kid I always thought Lion-O and Mandora had a thing for each other. Pairings were all kinda in the eye of the beholder in the OS.
Sorry sorry! You are right guys, there was never romance or pairings in the OS (except that hint He-fan mantioned) :duh:, I was getting confused between the series and the comics, you know those comics where Tygra and Cheetara had twins, Wilycat and Wilycub.
Anyway, let’s wait and see how the writers will handle this love triangle, just as long as this does not affect any of the three characters in a bad way.

Only in the comic I heard which I generally don’t take as the main source for Thundercats.
I’m not really getting the love triangle talk in the new toon.
Cheetara has been shown only being interested in Lion-O. It’s not exactly been subtle. Tygra obviously finds her attractive too but it certainly doesn’t look reciprocated. Besides, the whole love triangle thing is so cliched and over done.So I hope they don’t go there with the story.
The competition between Lion-O and Tygra is already getting tiresome to me. I’m hoping Tygra will start to chill out and a love triangle would make him even more of a jerk.
They talked about the love triangle in interviews so people are looking for hints of it. I think they’re taking that aspect of the show slow. Rightfully IMO.
