Well, I think I may have told you that I certainly wouldn’t have a problem with it at least! LOL;)
Oh don’t get me wrong HillsHollow, I also like her being a cleric too; however it would be nice if she had a sixth sense ontop of that. But you are right about one thing, they did overdo it with her sixth sense in the old series, especially in the second season.
If they could tone down her sixth sense, then it would be perfect.
If they’d simply let her see the future I’d be very cool with it. 
It would slide in to her being a cleric very well.
I felt they explored her 6th sense at the expense of exploring other character’s gifts. Let the other stuff go to Tygra and Bengali and explore the ‘tiger mind gifts’ a little. It’s what they’re supposed to bring to the table and what their race was known for. I’d also love to see this Tygra and Cheetara mirror the friendship we saw in the OS. They seemed to understand each other and at times gave each other a shoulder to lean on in that being-‘special’-sucks kind of way. 
Y’know, personally I feel the whole speed thing being a cleric gift and not a cheetah one limits the amount of people who have it even more. Now it’s even more unique as only the few clerics have it and not an entire race.
But it’s not like she’s not still the fastest, her bio saws she’s the fastest in Thundera and has never lost a race. Plus don’t forget, she’s the only cleric who managed to dodge Mumm-Ra’s blast, so obviously she’s faster then the rest of them.

I want her keeping her sixth sense, not in a future-seeing thing, but more as an overdeveloped intuition, and being able to contact with other being’s if they have this same sixth sense.
I agree that they did too much with the 6th sense in the OS, but I don’t think it was in the expense of Tygra’s mind power (to me, that what settled down and destined to not be mentioned again when Panthro said that using the power puts a big strain on Tygra).
And I also agree that the both of them always seemed to share a special bond and friendship, and I also always thought it was because they were “the gifted ones” and kind of felt the others wouldn’t really understand them completely.
One thing I liked more in the OS Cheetara than in the NS one is how they drew the former when she used her speed… sometimes it was seen as if she turned into an energy ball. When she ran fast in “Old Friends” though, it was more like a vampire effect in True Blood… didn’t like it that much.

Regarding her origins, I’d like her to have been born in a wealthy family that sent her to be a cleric. Maybe she was the only daughter to parens with many sons, and they always sensed soemthing special in her, so gave her o Jaga to train her and she never saw her parents again.
I live in Peru, and in the viceroyalty and colony eras, it was common that the most wealthy families sent their daughters to convents to become nuns… but it cost a lot, so only wealthy families could afford that. Then the girls were recluted to the convent and lost every contact with their families.
I’d like that for a change, because with Tygra and the kittens, and now Lion-o, there are too many orphans already

If anything, I’m thinking she’ll have a 6th sense in this series but it’ll be toned down and be tied more to magic.
I like Cheetara’s sixth sense, but I agree with those who think it shouldn’t be overused as a plot device. That kind of thing is cool, but it’s easily abused in lazy writing. Kind of like how by the end of the old series, the Sword of Omens could do just about anything.
Yeah I hated that too. By the end of the series the Sword of Omens effectively turned Lion-O in to Superman flying around all over Third Earth and New Thundera.

Right, I never liked it etierh and ruined the show, even turning it into something a bit stupid… all day fighting and at the end all Lion-o had to do was use the swrod.
But let’s get back to Cheetara

My wife would actually make a good 2011 Cheetara if we could get the costume just right. (Ideas forming in my head…oh yeah…) lol
Now I just wish we could actually FIND her action figure!!! My kids and I have tried like 3-4 different TRU’s. As well as a few K-Marts. Nothing!
Her new image is fantastic…her figure distribution is disappointing to say the least.
BUT… Still a fan!

I really like whats going on with Cheetara, Her character is strong I like her being a cleric. I am excited to see how she develops. Her character seems like one that would be in a legend/epic quest tale.
I hope they let her keep her sixth sense. Her training as a cleric might even help her strenghten and control it.
I can’t really remember her being shown going really fast yet.
I liked how they made Cheetara a Cleric in the new series. It really adds to her character.

Also, this week’s ep, her comments to Lion-O make it obvious she doesn’t serve him just cause he’s king, she really does like him.
It also shows that he likes her as well.
The scene at the beginning where she obviously was flirting with Lion-O on top of giving him advice to get him to relax some. Women don’t usually get that close and invade a guy’s personal space like that unless they are interested in him.
Then there was also the scene on top of the tower where Cheetara nearly got blasted off the top of the tower and Lion-O stopped in the middle of battle to save her when Mumm-Ra wasn’t stunned, distracted, or anything and was able to nearly kill Lion-O.
There was some over-the-top innuendo in the Lion-O/Cheetara scenes that even the ThunderKittens noticed in last night’s episode. According to the writers they are setting up a classic love triangle. What I think will happen is that Lion-O may develop a relationship with Cheetara relatively soon in the series. Then her and Tygra may start to develop feelings for each other as well. Maybe Tygra will end up saving her life in a big way this causing her to fall for him too.
I dunno about that. Sure maybe there might be something between her and Tygra at some point, but personally I hope not for the reason you describe.
The whole ‘You saved my life, I love you’ scenario is just too Princess in danger, for someone like Cheetara.
