Wow, that looks utterly fantastic! To have such an epic feel to it only adds to its power. Oh, if only I had cable. I’d watch this cartoon in a heartbeat! 
In the trailer the new Lion-O has blue eyes. The next time you guys watch the trailer, hit the pause button and take a close look at Claudus; he has blue eyes too!

I must say the new Cats look better in motion, might be pretty good after all.
I really liked it, even if I don’t collect the toy line I will def enjoy The cartoon. Like everyone else the animation makes the character designs much more appealing, cant wait!

It may be as you say. It also could be that Claudus was teaching Lion-O the art of swordsmanship because I saw Jaga standing off to one side, watching them duel. As for Lion-O and Tygra fighting each other, well, all I can think of is that they were practicing their one-on-one combat skills, battling because each suspected the other of treason, or simply going at it out of sheer jealousy. But, all in all, the new series is starting to look in part like an ancient Japanese epic where there’s plenty of sweeping action and court intrigue, so ThunderCats is no longer the kids’ cartoon that it was back in the 1980s. It’s now a whole different thing.
Just wondering if anyone has recorded this in proper 720p/1080i yet by chance? Was hoping someone might be able to because of the reruns this weekend.

Edit - didn’t see this earlier, but apologize if someone else guessed this first.
I suspect that what the Plundarians are pulling might be Mumm-Ra encased in some kind of prison. Perhaps Grune was able to discover his whereabouts and has the Plundarians pulling it back so he can free Mumm-Ra from his prison.
Either way, looking like Grune is getting a proper place in the story this go around

This is what I always wanted the show to be: something that was grand and epic in scope and scale with a lot of richly-drawn characters. Something that had a progressive story that told how Lion-O would grow into a great leader and his struggle against the darkest evil. THIS WAS IT!!!
Earlier I said that I had hoped that this new show would be to the old what the new Battlestar Galactica was to the original 1970’s version. It doesn’t look like I was that far off.
I’ve said before that the old show, while it had its moments, I wasn’t 100% crazy about. This however is something I can get behind 100%. I’m eagerly looking forward to talking about this show with the rest of you when this premieres! Thundercats, ho!
