I read somewhere that WB are going for a film kind of look and Studio 4°C is one of the best studios in japan to do so, however that’s not what i want for Thundercats, i want silky smooth animation with a lot of really well done action choreography and the best animation studio in japan and the world for that is BONES.
The quality of the animation in the intro is quite possible in normal episodes now, there are a lot of examples of similar stuff made by BONES in long TV series. I will be really disappointed if the animation isn’t on the same level of something like Xam’d Lost Memories, Cybersix, Dennou Coil or Soul Eater.
PD: I haven’t seen the clip but if it is like avatar i’m sad.

Really really sucks I had no way to record this off my tv or I would have. Sadly I don’t even get cartoon network in hd. But I get others in hd.
The show opening has looks like a movie with the opera music! Lion-o and Tygra must be fighting each other to be the Lord of the ThunderCats, also I wonder if that Old Guy giving the sword to Lion-o is Jaga?

Original Thundercats was hybrid anime. The clip CN showed tonight demonstrates that now Thundercats is full on Japanese anime in style, and probably in storyline too. (I wonder if the fight for the throne of Thundera is like a Dragonball Z martial arts fight. The big arena might suggest that.) Conspicuous in his absence in the clip was Panthro. Definitely worth going frame by frame to see the details. More adult in style too. Let’s hope the writing goes in that direction. It would make fan fiction writers happy to see a more realized Thundera.

Well it looks like that Hall Of Games will be rerun from 5:30-7pm est tomorrow saturday. Maybe there’s another chance at the end of that for someone to record it? Not sure if they’ll show that afterparty thing again though.

I’m impressed. It’s wonderful looking, stuff, and they’ve still kept in line with the original character designs for most of the characters. I like it. I like it lots.
No voices, but that looked great with epic music. From the still pics I was worried about Cheetara, but she looks great in motion.

From the looks of it, dissolves all speculations about the New Series being merely a typical childish anime. IT has surpassed my modest expectations. mark my word, it’s going to Be EPIC.

What I really don’t get though is why all the insignias are empty. Also, Snarf doesn’t have a soul-less look when animated, I don’t get why the figure looks so bad
