Just to be pedantic, white tigers arise from inbreeding of tigers (such as a father and daughter) and are very genetically weak as a result. They are cross-eyed even if it’s not that noticeable! I’m sure they won’t worry about this too much in the show lol, but yeah…not a rare breed/sub-species as such, just a genetic c ock-up! damn where’s the Bengali emoticon?
I’m well aware that most white tigers in the world are due to selective breeding. However, my focus was more on that the occurance of white tigers in the wild is rare. Considering that the gene for the white color is recessive it’s not surprising that’s is rare in the wild but easy to breed.
I may have geeked out a little with this post but I’ll use the fact that I’m an biologist as an excuse.
(And yeah, inbred white tiger would probably be a bad template for the character…)
From what I get from this, either she’ll only be around a few episodes, which would suck. Or there’ll be a two parter or something devoted to her joining.
Lol good effort Mr/Mrs Biology, but genuine question then…even in the wild, can the gene for the white colouring (lack of melanine??) NOT have originated from an inbred pair of tigers? And could a non inbred pair ever have the white characteristic s a dominent phenotype??
In my head I imagine during the celebration at the end of the show some older female cat around Panthro’s age kissing him or something, and Panthro all nervous. That’s who he’ll end up with. That’s what I imagine anyway.
Too true. I don’t mind the idea of her not constantly being around; if she’s been out in the world this long, she could have developed other loyalties. Maybe a development for her is coming to care for her people and feel a loyalty for them and their cause, and Lion-O helps with this. I don’t mind the idea of her not constantly being around either. Lion-O can still focus on what he needs too, and I can imagine him getting a little more ‘geeked’ or perking up the few times that Pumyra is around, gradually building a relationship that is not dependent on him constantly, physically seeing her.
To the first question, yes. Changes like that are usually caused by random mutation and can occur in all species, not just bengal tigers. For the second question. As long as we’re talking about this specific gene then no. It will always be recessive.

more than that a king needs a heir. but that being said a heir won’t be of any use until Thundera is restored.
Yeah, a heavily pregnant woman or a newborn probably wouldn’t fare well while they’re battling an ancient evil who probably would go after them and use them to get to Lion-O even if they tried to hide somewhere and stay safe.
That makes me think: if Lion-o didn’t have a son, then the throne would pass to his nephew, Tygra’s son.
So the next king might not be a lion, nor a tiger neithera cheetah, but a cheetiger, which will make turn him into a new, sterile species unable to have kids (as most hybrids), and then the whole kingdom of Thundera would disappear for good mwahahahaha 
if tygra’s son inherits in the case lion-o has no heir that would mean adoptions are a viable alternative to having a blood heir. i.e. tygra’s son could adopt.

Might be, but Cheetara is with Tygra right now… so it’d be better for Lion-o not to hook up with Pumyra either.
I wonder how would producers aboard that issue: will their sons and daughters (Tygra & Cheetara’s and Lion-o & XXX’s) be sterile as an animal hybrid, or it would be just like a regular inter-ratial human relationship kid (ie: Chinese and Afroamerican, Latin and Hindu, etc).
Not to sound like a downer on the Tygra-Cheetara pairing, but let’s not forget the impending continuation of the love triangle that’s been vaguely confirmed. (Which is upsetting). So at this point, what seems fine for Tygra-Cheetara so far may either get rocky or have some as of yet unknown drama.
IF Cheetara gradually (or suddenly…) decides to go with Lion-O after some…I don’t know, an event that makes him stand out for her, and the series ends with him having a kid with her, then I guess, awww heck I don’t know what to follow this speculation with! Basically, IF the writers throw another curveball, and write in that Cheetara has a change of heart and loves Lion-O and goes for him after all this, thats a big WTF. Pardon my language but C’MON!
If Pumyra (once again a popular choice, but seems the safest and most predictable outcome) or another Thunderian woman enters the picture, aww heck who knows?! With the recent talk of Lion-O "aging" in some manner, if it winds up a "trapped in time/ long sleep through time" and he meets the team again, aged as well most likely, and then the writers might throw the curveball of a grown WilyKit for a possibility with Lion-O, who knows what to expect!
I think the continuation of the love triangle will eb about Lion-o dealing with it and maybe tryong to make a move on Cheetara, but get rejected. I erally don’t think producers will make Cheetygra break up.
i seriously doubt the topic of sterility will pop up in a kid’s show.
