She doesn’t have to be that much older. I’m thinking like the age gap between Anakin and Padme in Star Wars. I wouldn’t want her to be so old that she could be his mother though.
Technically he was younger than the kittens, but I was referring to his body’s physical age after he arrived on Third Earth.

Meaning 20 years older than Lion-O would be too old. Although they could make her a love interest for Panthro, but I’m not feeling that.
Oh, I got what you meant. What I was pointing out with the bold letters was what if Pumyra in this series was Lion-O and Tygra’s mother? That’d be interesting.
as a lion-o fan I would prefer pumyra to be around lion-o’s age to.
I would have to guess that Lion-O is fully lion though considering he resembles his father and ancestors too much.
I’d like to know why the OS artists thought lions have red hair though.

The lion genes are probably dominant. It’d certainly be interesting to see if she did turn out to be their mother.
Bengali should be around the same age he was in the OS compared to the other characters. If they make any changes to him, I think the Hammer Of Thundera should be able to transform into a war-hammer, but also stay as a blacksmith hammer when he needs it. As long as they keep him as the combative, hot-tempered character he was in the OS I’ll be happy.
I personally think Pumyra should be a little younger than Lion-O, she should be his love interest. Also, I think they should give her black hair and make her look a little more anime-inspired.
I agree also. It kinda seems like we need someone in the mid 20s to mid 30s range.
The moment that love triangle concluded anyone with knowledge of Pumyra most likely thought of her as the answer to Lion-O’s loss. >_>
I was one of those, and going by that thought I’d prefer for her to be the same age as him or older, if younger, not that much younger.
I don’t recall who it was, but we had this discussion before the their idea for Pumyra’s characterization was interesting. Atleast in contrast to Lion-O, making her tsundere like with him. XD
Also making her a healer and someone who specializes in martial arts.
As to Bengali, I’m sticking to making him a teenager, probly around 14. Would give the group further dynamics.
When it comes to Pumyra I’d like to see her around the same age as the Lion-o and the others but perhaps mature beyond her years. I’d also like to see her as a healer again but considering what was said in the interview it might not happen.
I agree both on the age and weapon. In the OS every weapon seemed to be able to shoot lasers which personally irritated me a little.
Another thing I’ve been thinking about is that Thunderians in general have shown that they can be both arrogant and condescending against others. I wonder if this might affect Bengali since white tigers are a rare coloration. This might just be me overanalyzing things though.
Yes, but remember, due to violence restraints at the time, you couldn’t have much (or any) direct weapon-on-flesh contact, so the lasers were pretty much necessary. Nowadays we don’t have those restraints, so Bengali and the rest of the ThunderCats no longer have to over-rely on lasers.
The good thing about Bengali being around 14 is that it would give Lion-o the chance to be the older and role model for someone (except the kittens, who he doesn’t seem to pay that much attention anyway).
But you have to understand the show’s producers: the 80s was actually the lasers era 
About Pumyra, I think it’d be a mistake if she only makes guest appearences. Her whole hometown has been destroyed (like as the other TCs) and her beloved ones are probably dead; when she found some of her kind, it’s logic to think she’d like to stay with them, right? Why would she leave? They msitreated her like that in the OS already lol
If they do introduce Bengali and Pumyra in the next season, I expect the relationship between the characters to be different. In the OS, there were hints that the characters might be romantically involved. Given what little tidbit of information we got from that Dan Norton interview, and what we’ve seen on the show thus far, I’m guessing that’s not going to be the case here. Seeing that Tygra and Cheetara have now been paired-off, I’m sure that’s going to be something that’s going to weigh on Lion-O’s mind somewhat. And considering that Norton said that this Pumyra won’t be the same character that we remember from the OS, and that there’ll be several episodes devoted to her, suggests to me that she may be Lion-O’s love-interest.
I see this as a good thing. Other than her being a healer, Pumyra never had a very distinctive personality in the OS and was very underused. Seeing what they did with Tygra, who had come into his own by the season’s end as a distinctive character, I am sure they’ll do the same with Pumyra as well.

as for Pumyra I’d rather her be a little happy go lucky. I don’t think Lion-O would go for someone super serious and mature right now. I’d rather see him with someone who can get under his guard and make him laugh. get his mind off things.
yeah think a more happy go lucky pummyra would work, it would serve to differentiate her from cheetara and help lion-o relax . when Pummyra and Bengali are introduced.they’re going to have to make them different from the rest of the team.
Why does lion-o needs a love interest? I dont understand the obssesion of paring lion-o, why does he needs a girlfriend/mate so bad? If anything Panthro is the one in need of some loving haha
He has gone through a lot. He fought in the lizard wars and I guess he had a huge impact in the war and made General. He searched for the book of omens w/o any info of his whereabouts for couple of years fighting w/ monsters, starving, going through god knows what else and ending w/ his best friend that I think Panthro considered a brother, betraying him, almost killing him.
He survived by his own and managed to get revenge on their king and their whole race by getting rid off his best friend while loosing both arms. I guess he deserve some love in his life lol
