What changes would you guys like to see to these last two thundercats we have not seen? Should pumyra also be a teenager(I think so). Should Bengali be older? What will their functions be on the team? How do you want to see the creators of the new show reshape them in the same way they reshaped the other thundercats?
Personally I think Pumyra being 16-17 would be nice, it would give Lion-o someone who he could relate to a little bit more. As for Bengali, he is a wild card. I don’t really know what direction I’d like him to go since he is basically a second Tygra(he replaced Tygra straight up in the OS, which I hated). So how are they going to change him to not just be another Tygra and instead of a real function on the team outside of being a blacksmith?
hmmm, that is tough to speculate … hopefully they are executed well. Ben-Gali could be along the lines of a historian, or return him to his blacksmith role. Or have him as a tech wiz to assist Panthro with gadget making for the team. Pumyra, hopefully not a dunce, and someone capable to contribute to team and more for both, actually of all 3 new Thundercats. Lynx-O, although not in your thread title, looked so awesome in the premiere, I really hope he comes in soon. I also hope they include the other new Thundercats that showed up late in the Original like Leah, Torr, Jaguara and the others.
they could make Bengali tygras biological brother that tygra thought died when they were kids. Bengali could have grown to outside of thundera , it could be interesting to see how Bengali,tygra and lion-o get along if that’s the case.
I think it would be nice to see Bengali related to Tygra somehow, not sure if his brother but maybe an uncle or a cousin. Maybe Tygra was told his whole family is dead (killed?) but Bengali managed to escape, and was raised by a family of blacksmith cats. He could be the same age as Tygra and then awake jealousy and fear on Lion-o because he starts feeling he took his brother for granted and is now losing him, because now it’s Tygra who has a real family while he doesn’t.
Or, Bengali could be older than them both, maybe close to Panthro in age because I want Panthro to have a mate (although I think Lynx-o will fulfill that role).
What I don’t want is Bengali and Pumyra being close in age. Maybe if Bengali so close to Lion-o, Tygra and Cheetara, then Pumyra could be older and become a love interest to Pantrho and “soften” him.
Also, I’d like to see Pumyra’s healing abilites, and maybe turn her into an archer. I like to think she will be tne NS equivalent to the Warrior Maidens from the OS… a group of female pumas that lives in the forest and knows everyhting about it, natural medicine/healing and archery. That would be great if they make her a healer in two senses: medical and spiritual, as she heals Pantrho’s soul.
I think I’d prefer it if they showed up separately and spaced out long enough so their joining the group wasn’t too overwhelming.
For Bengali I’d like him to be a Thunderian outcast that is smithing in a small town that the Thundercats happen upon. It’d be interesting if Panthro remembered him and there was a little friction between them due to whatever crime he committed that landed him an outcast.
As for Pumyra I think she’d be a good cleric. Perhaps she was sent out on a mission before the fall of Thundera and ghost Jaga could tell the Thundercats where she is. Being a fellow cleric she’d bond with Cheetara and be a potential love interest for Lion-O.
well there was an interview a month or two talking about her. i’ll look for it for you guys. but also today someone asked on FB if we’ll see Jackalman and Pumyra soon and Dan Norton said yes.

Where’d you hear/find that out Balgus? That’s freakin’ awesome. It’d be interesting if instead of injecting all three at once like in the OS, the trickle in one at a time in this one. It’d certainly make the anticipation build. I think Bengali is the biggest challenge of the three to recreate, since his OS version is simliar to the NS Lion-o(A young teenager/adult).
Making Pumyra more of a druid/healer/nature girl would be pretty awesome.
to be honest I hope she doesn’t. at least not right away. we already have characters that have felt a little short changed on attention and adding more people to the team would only increase that imo
Yea maybe the new 3 can join up permanently later on, in season 4? Though it’d be hard to see how the core group would refuse the new three unless they don’t want to stay themselves. You’d imagine Lion-o would want to keep as many of his destroyed people together as he could if he found them.
I’d like to see Bengali be the angry, rebellious teenager sort. Kind of like Lion-O’s friend in The Petalars when he hit his teenage years. I can just hear Bengali shouting at Lion-O, “You’re not the boss of me!”
I would find a way to make Pumyra distinctively different than Cheetara. Emphaize her being a healer, make it to where she’s never been trained as a warrior but in Thundera, she lived a comfortable life on a doctor’s salary. I’d make her more feminine as opposed to Cheetara being more tomboyish.
I don’t see them doing that only because so far they’ve kept the original characters in the same respective ages lineage, for lack of a better work.
For example, in the OS, Lynx-O was by far the oldest, he still is. I would think Panthro in the OS was next in line, which he is in the NS, then Tygra, then Cheetara, then Lion-O. Bengali and Pumyra were younger than Lion-O in the OS, I would guess they’ll be younger than him in the NS. Just a guess, I could be wrong. I’d like them to make Bengali younger but I’d like Pumyra to be older. I’d like Pumyra to be much more classy.
