In your opinion, which is more powerful, the Sword of Omens or a Star Wars Light Saber?
Random pondering that just came to me. 
Sword of Omens. Hands down. Light sabers can only cut things and deflect lasers. Sword of Omens can do all that and a bunch of other things to boot.
Thatās my thought too. Not only did it do powerful things, but it also increased the power of the individual wielding the sword as well as increase the powers of the wielders allys.
It lets you see past your eyes, calls your friends and a powerful weapon - itās the Sword of Omens by a landslide.

Light Sabers are mere tools. If we go by SW terms, you could say the Sword of Omens is a manifestation of the light side of the Force. An essence of good that is truly beyond mortal understanding to an extent.
The Sword of Omens is like the ultimate Gary Stu in the world of fictional swords. It flies, it heals people, it turns people visible when they canāt stop being invisible, it can make rocks explode, it creates shields, it shoots laser beams. And the list goes on. Comparing it to a light saber is a bit silly, since a light saber only cuts things and the awesomeness comes from the Jedi wielding it.

The sword of omens hands down the stronger of the two. Besides lightsabres are so overrated.
Wouldnāt the lightsaber just cut through the sword of omens? Itās a metal sword after all.
No I think the Eye of Thundera would stop it or at least shatter the Light Saber crystal.

It depends the new sword or the original.
The original is uber powerful.
If Grune can shoot a laser with his mace at the sword at point blank and be completely blocked, I think it could block a light saber as well.
I think a more interesting question may beā¦If Excalibur makes an appearance in the NS will it be more powerful than the Sword of Omens again??? (was kinda gutted when it was in the OS but was an interesting twist!

The sword of omens can deflect powerful laser beams as well as produce lightning. I donāt think a lightsaber could cut through it but perhaps the sword of omens could cut through a lightsaber. :eek:
Thats a good point. When it comes down to it a light saber is just light. The Sword of Omens has been known to deflect and even produce lasers, but a lightsaber canāt deflect anything but other light-based weapons. If it canāt cut through the sword the sword should be able to cut right through the light.
Light sabers could cut through droids. It could also produce heat, ie. when Qui-Gon tried to burn his way through the doors to get to the viceroy. I would think though that the blade of the Sword of Omens would be even tougher with the Eye of Thundera.
Yeah it could cut through droids, but they couldnāt touch droids with force fields. Also certain metals can short out the blades.

Wither or not the Sword of Omens would go through a light saber blade is debatable, but with the Swordās force field the light saber absolutely wouldnāt be able to cut through the Sword of Omens.
You should have compared it with āThe Forceā.
Besides, the sword of omens is just OP all the way through so i think the vote and discussion about it is just pointless..
