Over-Powered
Over-Powered. The thing is comparing the two might be fun but still makes no sense. The Sword of Omens is superior in all aspects so why would you wanna compare those? Must be more fun to compare weapons and such that are some what equally good but in different aspects if you know what i mean

That’s right. Already been prooved we “could create” a “lightsaber” but you would need a powerplant to give it the energy it needs as of now O.o
and no i can’t carry and swing it around like in the movies that way. More like the lightsabers FAR BACK in the Star Wars universe where the lightsabers had batterypacks which they were attached to.

this is a pointless debate. you ask this question on a Thundercats fansite and expect anything other than totally biased opinions? it doesnt matter if the question was “Godzilla vs Lion-O, who would win”, the outcome is the same, because this is a Thundercats fansite and the people will automatically vote for that choice.
this is just like the “Superman vs Goku” argument that used to get brought up all the time on DBZ fansites. of course everyone will say Goku, regardless of what the actual answer would be. its a DBZ fansite
Just because people are a fan of ThunderCats does not mean they’re not a fan of other things. I think the Sword of Omens is more powerful, but given the choice, I would rather be a Jedi than a ThunderCat. 
I still agree that the topic is kinda meh, things from different series, comparing them. It’s just like trying to compare gears of war with COD. Both are shooters but different shooters just like these swords.
Just looking at abilities, Sword of Omens wins hands down. It is a sentient entity (in the OS, it can act on its own without someone wielding it), can produce energy blasts, and give user “sight beyond sight”. A Lightsaber must be wielded by someone to work and it needs to be recharged (runs on power).
However, the Sword of Omens can not be used by evil or to harm a good or innocent being. Or at least if that rule no longer exists, we have not been enlightened to it yet in the new series.
Then there is the question of how the two would act in a fight against each other. Using weapon abilities only (no force/Thunderian powers), the Sword of Omens could not be used to fight a Jedi. But it could be used to fight a Sith. In a fight against a Sith, an energy blast like we saw at the end of the premier episode would PROBABLY be too much for a lightsaber to deflect.
Just looking at stats, the Sword of Omens wins. But is a fight against each other, it depends on the scenario.
I think a more lively debate could be between The Sword of Omens and He-man’s Power Sword. Or maybe even She-Ra’s Sword of Protection since it has shape shifting powers.
