I did indeed (my mistake; credit where credit’s due, Cheezy!), but oboy - I’d sure hate to be uncool. All fixed. Hopefully back at the cool table.

It could be the Trial of Strength episode…
I checked “Trial of Strength” and couldn’t find it. Based on how Snarf and Lion-O are drawn, I’m guessing it falls somewhere in the second half of the first season, possibly second season pre-ThunderCubs (there are moments in “Mumm-Ra Lives” that resemble this style). The background made me think of “The Crystal Queen”, and also Lion-O’s bedroom in “Fireballs of Plun-Darr”, but it’s not in either place. Unfortunately, since the whole series disappeared from YouTube, I only have access to the 40-something episodes on my computer. I wish I could be of more help.
Also, I am quite relaxed. I thought “not cool” was rather a calm way to describe something as nefarious as hot-linking, but I guess not. Anyway, gjustis quickly did the noble thing and fixed it, so all is now put right.
You might say that gjustis is served.
Justis is my last name, so I may have perhaps heard this once or twice…
Looks like it could be from a lot of episodes. If it’s from Cheezey’s web site, I would suggest sending her a private message and asking as she is a member on this board.
As for linking directly to the image - what’s wrong with that? The only time that’s not cool is if you’ve created your own web site and instead of uploading images to your own server, you choose to link to another’s web site. But linking for this purpose - I see no harm in it. I’d have done the same.
Hotlinking on your own website is no different from hotlinking on a message board on someone else’s site. The result is the same: it eats up the bandwidth of the person hosting the file. The proper thing to do, if you can’t host it yourself, is to post a link to it, or, ideally, to the page where it’s embedded, and append credit.

Can we call this settled? I’m sorry to have derailed the thread, but, really, this shouldn’t be up for debate—it should be a matter of policy.
As someone who has run my own web site in the past, I might point out that there is a script out there you can use to prevent hotlinking of images if, as a webmaster, you don’t want to allow anyone to do that. I remember using it myself, though it’s been years and I can’t remember what it was.
Now you are contradicting yourself. Your first post you see no harm in hotlinking and yet in your second post you said you owned a website and had a script preventing hotlinking. How can you say in your first post “I see no harm in that?” and yet in your second post you clearly post you had scripts preventing it? You said yourself you used that script.
Just saying as a former webmistress myself.
It all depends on the situation Queen. If your website does not have the bandwidth to support it, or if you have stuff that you don’t want people to be able to use without prior consent, then blocking it is fine. Otherwise, there is little harm from linking like that unless you are trying to pass something off as yours. But if you were to do that, it would be wiser to save it somewhere else first so that it can’t easily be traced back to the real origin.
A ‘hey, look what I found’ post obviously is not you trying to take credit for it.
I don’t know. If I was still a part owner of EOT.net, I sure as hell wouldn’t want anyone hotlinking what I posted. Out of revenge I always chose a pic of an embarrassing one to the hotlinker…I will now give credit…I got the idea from Purrsia. Changing the img file name to the same name but with a disgusting pic for the win!
So…any thoughts re: episodes?

I was not contradicting myself. I was stating that codes exist out there that you can use on your site to prevent images from being linked to. I opted to use the code on my web site but if others choose not to protect their images on their own sites, that’s their choice. I would not have had a problem with people linking to an image to chat about it on a messgae board. I actually used the code after someone sent me a message with a link to another web site who had linked to all my images.
I think the point has been made about hot linking. Lets now try to help the original poster find the episode

I believe this screengrab is from Season 1, Episode 10: Mandora - The Evil Chaser. I’m pretty sure. Near the end, when they are all sitting in Cats Lair and Snarf is complaining about not getting his purse back, Panthro walks in with the Purse and gives it to Snarf. That is where this scene occurs when Lion-O leans in to tell Snarf “See?”
