Just thought about starting a new thread and seeing what creative ideas or thoughts are out there
I would like to see the makers turn this NS into several seasons full of episodes, each with a new “journey”. Here are a list of things that I thought up, as things that I could only dream about
1- return to Thundera (? is that the kingdoms name?) and rebuild (over time obviously)
2- creative entrances of Bangali, Pumyra, and Lynxo, and other popular OS charachters. Like Bangali being captured…and they stumbled upon him…?
3- Individual journeys that build each charachter more, i.e. one with Cheetara, one with Tygra, Panthro…etc
4- technology advancements
5- more villians, and NEW ones! The more villians, the more ideas on how to make more episodes
6- ending should be Lion-O is king- and the land is restored…and Mummra is, well…gone!:sneaky:
If the OS had as many seasons and episodes…the NS should too And they should definately not have any reason to run out of plots or ideas.
I’m content with just waiting to see how things turn out. Besides, what fans WANT to see usually isn’t what’s best for the story.
That being said, my only real requirement is eventually getting a rebooted Vultureman. Other than that, I don’t feel like there’s anything the staff “should” do and my one request is more of an inevitability than anything else.
i wasn’t sure if they would have more flashbacks…but I liked them too…esp about the princes…before Lion-O became king…
I have to admit…it would be nice to know more background about how the stones were Mummras originally. I mean, he keeps saying they were his at one time…
just take me back to the beginning! lol! Thats all i have to say!
and why is he a mummy?
not sure how far back they want to take this. But an episode with some time traveling of the TC’s? hmm? wouldn’t that be an interesting thought!
I want to see rebooted versions of Vultureman, the Lunataks, and the Silverhawks since we’ve already seen Mon*Star. And of course the Warrior Maidens.
Besides old characters appearing, I agree that each character should get a focus episode or two. I really want to see them reach El Dara so they can flesh out the Wily’s story. Kit mentioned their mother, so I’m hoping we learn more about the twins at some point.
It would also be neat to see where the lizards, monkians, and jackals live.
I don’t like the idea of a comedy episode. They seem to be trying to tell a (more or less) serious story here. It would break up the feel of the show too much IMO. And honestly as much as I love the show, some of the comedy falls flat (the twins and Snarf being the exceptions).
As for what I’d like to see? More OS characters. Love seeing their redesigns. More focus on everyone that’s not Lion-O. The show is called Thundercats not Legend of Lion-O.
I’d like to get some background on Slithe. We’ve seen some of Mumm-Ra’s background (though not much) and a lot of Grune’s, but Slithe’s past remains a complete mystery.
I want to know about everyone’s families. Lion-O’s mother, Tygra’s birth parents, and what happened to Cheetara and the Twins’ parents.
Panthro’s old enough (and was gone from Thundera long enough) I think he should be able to run into people he’s known before (friend or foe). He’s been just as clueless about everyone they meet as the others, yet he’s the one that’s been out in the world for a decade.
I’d like Cheetara to develop her magical abilities more. Bout the only magic we’ve seen her do is running fast (which was natural to her without magic) and making her staff grow roots (and that seemed to be more the staff’s ability than hers).
I really want them to be able to eventually set up a base of operations. The “on the road” thing works for now, but it’ll get boring if it goes on too long and after they start being introduced to more and more technology they should eventually be able to travel faster and having a base would be more viable.
I think it will keep building and building. The crew has said it’s a “slow burn.” They will all (heroes and bad guys alike) keep getting more and more powerful as the series progresses.
Nope. I was thinking of a full on one but you’d have to hire someone who can pull it off. My mind is leaning towards Doug Walker here as to who should write it. Though if it were up to me, I’d make it tongue-in-cheek like a homage to B-Movies.
But I’d also like to see more characters getting the spotlight once in a while. Where’s my Cheetara episode? I want to know more about her. What’s her story? And yes, I’m aware of Episode 12. I meant something more than that.
Yeah episode 12 and 13 don’t count as Cheetara or Tygra episodes IMO. They were only brief flashbacks and weren’t the main focus of the episodes. Unlike episode 6 which was almost completely devoted to Panthro.
Episode 6, was a Panthro. That I liked. So again, where’s Cheetara’s episode. I know she’s sexy and believe me, her design tops the '85 one but I’d like to see more meat and I mean more character. I do want to know more.
I would just like to see some episodes that have no battles, so we can have time for character development. I would also like a “look into the future” episode.
WAIT?! In what scene did roots come out of Cheetaras staff??
Tis true…I saw in the OS that many of these guys had Magic.. AND Tygra and Cheetara has mind powers (they shared it too)…
So maybe we might see some development in the magic area for some of these guys…
on the other hand, with the fact that they are trying to stay more realistic with development of the show and charachters…they MIGHT NOT encorporate “magic” in these guys. Magic truly doesn’t exist anyway..right? So we may or may not see them getting more technological with their weapons.
Still, mind reading ins’t TOO far fetched. Would like to see that go somewhere

And magic very definitely exists in Thundercats. You see Mumm-ra using it, and you see Jaga in the premiere shooting lightning. In fact the Clerics were said to be magicians of some kind (along with being elite fighters). Jaga also very clearly said the Book of Omens was a combination of Magic and Technology. Plus there was the whole Forrest of Magi Oar episode where they talk about the magic of the forrest, etc, etc, etc.
There’s also the weapons of the Cats to take into account. Both Tygra and Cheetara had their signature weapons at the start of the show and since Thunderans didn’t believe in “technology”, I’ve been assuming those weapons were Magical in nature. I also would have said the same about Panthro’s Nunchucks…until they made him new ones…
As many times as I watched that episode, that part is the only part I totally would look away from??! I wonder why! I never saw that happening! I remember the Panthro part…the Tyrgra part…but I must have always been doing something else when LionO and Cheetara attacked.
