that stinks that you lost a friend but it is great that your other pets have already helped mend the sadness
Sitting here typing with one hand because my kitten is tucked in my other arm fast asleep. He kept crying around my feet so I picked him up and he purred himself to sleep. Just like a child, he gets fussy when he’s sleepy but doesn’t want to go to bed.
I get to enjoy that in a few months! Lynxie is due in a little over a month and when the kittens get a month old…well, that is when the fun starts! Lynxie always used to sleep on my lap but not in a month now. Well, she is pregnant but she does meow and purposely claw my desk chair to get my attention. She’s very vocal too, meowing for attention. She wants me to pick her up when she claws my chair, I do so, she nuzzles and hops off to go sleep on my bed.
My older cat isn’t a lap cat, but she’ll lay up beside me. She doesn’t meow for attention, she head butts. The kitten meows for attention a lot more.
Sounds like me with Cheddar, except he’s about 2 years old. If I don’t pick him up when he wants my attention, he’ll try to climb up on my lap.
I’m thinking my new kitten has the orneriness and cunning to rival Wilykit and Wilykat. :eek: The little dickens!

Starting to put money aside for getting my laptop fixed. I also pre-ordered Slithor’s birthday present at GameStop.
Right now I’m making travel plans for NYCC. I’m making an itinerary list of where I want to go and things to do while there. I found a bunch of nice hotels I can choose from and on Monday I’ll book my reservation. I’m so excited! There is just so much to do there in NY.
LOL, I swear on my father’s grave that I’m going to go to a real NY deli and I will go to Lombardi’s pizzeria. Lombardi’s is voted the best pizza in the United States.
When you say NYCC, do you mean the New York City ComicCon? If so, I’d like to meet up.

I do want to meet up with you and Lord Slithor. He and I exchanged a few PMs about it. He’s the one that brought it up to my attention that booking a hotel in Queens is much cheaper.
Since my college professor goes to New York atleast once a week (he drives a limo for fun and to meet people) he knows were the best hotels with a good rate is. I will speak to my professor on Monday before booking just to make sure I don’t book at a place that is dangerous or filthy. Infact he’s giving me my Hotel Rooms Division exam on Monday so this would actually be the best time to talk to him. Also, it’s a great learning experience for my college degree.

My husband and I were talking all night and we decided to make going to NY a family vacation instead of me going alone. So I will go to the convention but for one day. The other days we are going to explore NY
I am going to get four New York Passes so we can go to any of the 55 major attractions in New York (this pass grants you admission to these attractions). We’re getting the two day pass 
Last year when I was at the Javit’s Center, I didn’t learn until we were on the bus leaving that they have an aircraft carrier there. I would have been there and my son would have loved to have gone. One of the places this pass will allow us to go is that aircraft carrier “Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum” My son is autistic and he will love this! He loves anything military, especially aircrafts.
I didn’t feel right going by myself and coming home with loads of pictures from many of the attractions, so I talked it over with my husband and I want him and my children to experience New York. We were never on a family vacation before and it’s about time that we did. 
There is so much more to do there and there is just so much to list. It was really nice to see my husband excited and for once he’s not upset about me spending money ROFL
Since the hotel allows free parking, we are going to drive there, park the car and use the subways to get around.
This is going to also be a great learning experience for my children as well as my husband and I. I want to take them to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, Ellis Island, and they have this boat tour on a clipper ship that is available till October 16, so we definitely have to do that before it closes for the year. They still have other boat tours but I really want to go on that ship

You made me think of my youth, and all the comic book conventions I attended ages ago. I met Dave ****rum in 1976 at one, and dated him for a few months. Hard to think he is gone

Go to Governor’s Island and see where I lived for awhile
