The first thought that crossed my mind - you driving around in a Saturn vehicle.
It’s so true! I’ve seen people’s physical health deteriorate or improve all because of their mental state. I have a close family member in extremely frail health, doctors can’t understand why she’s lived as long as she has, but she always has such a positive attitude and just a happy and sweet disposition. I think that has a lot to do with it.
The world is full of heartache and suffering, sadness, death, loss, struggles, etc… There is so much beyond our control. But the one thing we can control is how we choose to respond, what thoughts we choose to dwell on. We can forgive, let go, and move on without dwelling over it. We can choose to let things roll off our back and not stick with us. We can choose to bless those who curse us and give back kindness rather than revenge, and walk away with our heads held high, our dignity in tact.
I feel like I’m starting to preach… :eek:

I actually do own a deteriorating electric blue Saturn Ion. But I like the idea of me cruising the rings of Saturn in an intergalactic 57 Chevy, like some hopped up Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

I’m on my 5th “130 episodes of ThunderCats in one weekend” - Marathon ever! Sadly the wine has run dry so I’ll have to take a break and get some more

Busy day today! Had to make 4 separate installations of Windows Server 2008 for class (still not done that, BTW, as I still have to fully update each of them, and I’m doing that as i type this). Then I went out to Best Buy where I bought Ocelli her birthday present, then to Toys R Us and Wal-Mart where I rounded out the remainder of the new TCats figures (I had bought Lion-O, Tygra and decayed form Mumm-Ra earlier) and got Panthro, Cheetara, Wily Kat and Wily Kit. Then it was on to Gino’s for a late lunch (LOVE their burgers!), Trader Joe’s for a little grocery shopping, and finally Home Depot to get a piece of plywood cut to make a new access panel for our hot water heater (The old one busted a few months ago. The panel that went over it had been sealed-off and had to be pried off with a crowbar so we could get at it). I’m going back there tomorrow for some trim, and fasten it over the opening.
Did you buy her ThunderCats for her birthday? Are you collecting the 4 inch figures? I saw those today at Wal-Mart.
I am contemplating going and watching either Thor or X-Men First Class. I bought them both today.
Both are very good movies. I’d say you can’t go wrong with either of them. (Although as a guy, I give Thor extra points for having both Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings in it. Yummy!
Wait, then again X-Men: First Class has Jennifer Lawrence in it. Okay, so also as a guy you can’t really go wrong either!)
Yeah, I’m focusing on the 4" figures. They’re more for me as they’re going on my desk at work (no idea where I’ll put the Thundertank, though, when I get it). For Ocelli, I got her a game for her DSi that she wanted. Can’t say more than that out of concern she might read this. Shhh! It’s a secret!
Well, since I’m not a guy, those points don’t really matter to me. I didn’t find any of the guys in either film to be too terribly attractive although the guy who plays young Professor X is charmingly delightful to watch. I like him better in this role than I did as Mr. Tumnus in “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,” although he did a fine job in that film as well.

I redecorated my bathroom today with a new shower curtain, hand towels, toilet seat cover, and bath rug.
I love decorating and re-decorating.

With so few episodes so far, I could see us running out of quotes really fast… Plus, with no retail release yet, hard to get exact quotes for some people. But a good idea.
Hmm, sounds like waiting until the DVD comes out might be a better time to start.
Contemplating getting a kitten, but I worry how my elderly cat would respond.

Want one of my cat’s kittens? My cat Lynxie is pregnant and is going to have a litter of kittens in early November. LOL she snuck out of my house and was gone for a few days back in August.
Thanks, but I got one today. Two month old little boy, full of energy and adventure. My older cat has done lots of hissing and growling at him, but right now they’re resting about a foot apart from each other on my bed. So that’s good.
Cats do that..they’re special thingies like that. They’ll get used to each other eventually.
Cats are pretty good about establishing a pecking order. As long as the older one still feels loved, it will hopefully go well.

Er… tell that to my cat. She’s ticked off, to say the least. I tried to hold her to console her and it’s a good thing I had her declawed. I’m hoping it will be a simple matter of the bed and maybe even my bedroom being her territory and as long as the new kitten leaves that alone, she’ll be ok.
