I’m watching my four eBay auctions with a little disbelief… One has no bids, two have 1 bid each, and the last one has 11 bids.
But one of the two that have 1 bid only has had other people bid less than $5.00 over the original, wait a few hours, then retract their bid due to “entered wrong amount”. What the heck is that about?!?!
I’m just taking it easy tonight and making a few posts.
Holding and petting my cat, she was demanding my attention so I’m giving her some of it.
I know my cat will be annoying me soon for affection. Cats tend to be active from 9pm till 5am. She loves to come up to my computer’s chair and sharpen her claws on it just to get my attention…what’s worse is when she does it to my thigh, especially when I wear shorts.
When I go to get her off of the side of the chair, she tackles my arm and tries to kill me LOL. When I go to bed, she jumps up and lays on my chest…she can’t understand the concept that I want to sleep. She’ll keep meowing till she gives up, that or I’ll remove her from my bed. After a few more hours of sleep, when my alarm goes off, she jumps up and she’ll lick my face with that sandpaper tongue of her’s. It’s cute for about two seconds and then it hurts. Lynxie (my sister named her, not me) will not stop till I get out of bed and grab my cup of coffee.
She’s like the character, I found her in my mothers yard, met her dog and she didn’t run, just puffed up and she fell in love with me and hissed at my sister…btw, my sister is known as the freaking Snow White of the family where all of the animals just love her…except Lynxie ROFL
Sometimes she doesn’t act like a cat, she’ll act like a dog and chase you and actually fetch a cat toy and want you to throw it. I don’t even have to use it but if I hold up the laser pointer, she goes nuts and stares at the ground waiting for the dot.

My cat is definitely wide awake at night. I figure she feels the need to guard while I’m asleep. 
Fortunately, my cat doesn’t have claws. When she comes up to me, she reaches up one little paw and pets my elbow. It’s kind of an uncomfortable feeling, I’ll give her a quick scratch but that’s never enough for her majesty. 
My cat is a lot like me. Likes to be alone for the most part unless feeling a need for a little love and attention.

I have to give Lynxie credit…she allows my kids to pick her up like a stuffed animal and play with her. She just puts up with it 90% of the time till they get on her nerves and then she’ll play “ruff”…aka grab their hand and gently bite till they let go and leave her alone…which only lasts about ten minutes and my kids pick her up again. I do tell my kids to leave her alone but Lynxie will walk to them afterwards. It’s odd, I know.
My son is autistic, he’s met therapy dogs and he loves them. Those dogs are trained for children like my son. Lynxie seems to know, she’s always gentle towards him and puts up alot. I really think animals are great judges of character.
She plays with my kids just like a puppy. She chases them and nuzzles them. I’ve been raised with cats all of my life and I’ve never met a cat like this before.
Trying to wake up, mostly. Bed looks so comfy…
Awesome news! I got an email from my college and with special permission from the business office, I can get another voucher to buy a lap top computer! Since I still have a few grand leftover in financial aid after my tuition and books, I can do this.

I could really use a laptop because my desktop computer is getting old and slow. Especially since one of my classes is an online class. I never had a laptop before.
Sitting here watching “The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers” and loving it. Almost done though and “Kidd Video” is next.
I just went on a 2 hour suicide mission to tackle Mr. Treadmill. I survived but I’ll likely regret it tomorrow. I am thoroughly exhausted now that I’ve taken my shower. That’s what I get when I don’t visit Mr. Gym in a few months. In hindsight, it may not have been smart to do that much on my first trip back. :eek:
That’s cute. My cat has a 3 point warning system if I’m messing with her and she’s annoyed with it. First, she’ll bite in the air towards me to warn me away. If I don’t heed that warning, her next step will be to give me a light bite that doesn’t hurt. And if I don’t heed that warning, she’ll sink her teeth into me. I think her warning system is sweet.
LOL I’m surprised Ocelli didn’t see this. Our one cat, Cheddar, does the exact same thing to her! Even now he’s just done it, and Ocelli scooped him up, and he’s lying in her arms just about ready to fall asleep! Also in the morning, he’ll come up to the bedroom door and meow until we open it, as he somehow senses when we’re waking up.
Cheddar is a very weird cat. He loves Ocelli, but me not so much apparently. If he sees me coming towards him, he runs off. And if he thinks I’m actively pursuing him, he’ll hiss at me!:eek:
Huxley on the other hand doesn’t seem to have very strong feelings towards any one of us either way. Though he seems to prefer my company a bit more. He’s a very laid back cat, and very much a conversationalist. Many times I’ll find myself responding to his meows and doing a back-and-forth. Then I’ll stop and say to myself, “Waitaminit! Why am I having a conversation with a cat? It’s not like he understands anything I say to him!”
Anyway, as to what I’m doing, I just watched the season premiere of That Metal Show with guest Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath. Awesome! \m/ :D\m/
I’m thinking of a good signature line and so far I’ve got this.

This is Bella (I am not a Twilight fan; she came with the name). Got her at my local animal shelter. She is almost 2 years old.

Right now I’m loving my very first brand new laptop computer! Keeping a high GPA pays off! Because of it, they allowed me to buy this laptop. Finally, I can do my reports and homework in peace.
It’s just that I have to get used to it. Typing on one is so much different to me and the mouse pad will take some time getting used to.

I never have gotten the hang of using a mouse pad. I have a small USB mouse for use with my laptop…

I take it one step further, I actually have an external mouse and keyboard plugged into my MacBook Pro, as indeed I did with my old Windows XP laptop too!
I prefer to be further away from the screen than the onboard keyboard allows when working at my desk (which is what I’m doing 99% of the time) but like the option for portability that a laptop gives me!

My new toy is a HP Pavilion g6. It’s a 15.6" screen, 320 GB hard drive, 4GB DDR3-2 DIMM Memory, Intel Core i3-370M processor 2.40 GHz, and it has a built in webcam / mic. Oh, it also has a DVD burner. Finding out that you can get another voucher if you have leftover financial aid seems to be a closely guarded secret.
I wasn’t told of this last year and yet the woman said they do this all of the time. I’m guessing you have to be a sophomore and have good grades to get this voucher. The woman did bring up my class schedule and transcripts on the screen before approving the request.
Cute cat. Looks like she had really sikly fur. You can change her name, you know. Just start calling her something else, she’ll learn. Not a Twilight fan either, watched it just to see what all the fuss was about and felt so sick of teenagers and their hormones when I was done.
I have both for my laptop, I prefer an actual mouse too.
I am not wanting to move because of my sore, aching muscles. I ache in places I didn’t think I used any muscles yesterday on that treadmill.
