Wave 3 Discussion

Wave 3 extended to 15 May for those who wanna order direct from S7.

Speaking of the packaging, I like how it looks and pays homage to the original LJN. Would of been cool to keep the red name band for the heroes and give the villains a purple name band.

I like that idea but my OCD would freak out over it

LOL yeah? I just figured it would be keeping more in line like the original figures - T-Cats had the red stickers, Villains had the purple.

Jaga!!! His cape’s missing it’s clasp in this video, but he will have it. The magic cloth will be cast in a clear pinkish color with the hand connected to it painted as well.

Does anyone by any chance know what the best way is to order these figures from Europe?..

I used to order some of the old MotU Classic figures directly from Mattycollector back in the day and more recently the MotU movie figures directly from Super7 but with the figures getting more and more expensive and the steep shipping costs and import taxes it’s getting a bit pricey…
Is there a better way? Where do you European ThunderCats fans order your figures?

So, according to what I’ve read in interviews, we were supposed to be expecting Wave 3 to be shipping to us in April. I haven’t heard any updates yet, but I would appreciate Super 7 putting out something to update us on the status. In the Wave 4 interview with Brian, he said that after the Chinese New Year in March, these would ship in April. Has that happened?

Guess we’ll see anyday. I believe production would’ve only resumed in March to be completed in April then shipped in April to reach US in May and shipped out. That’s how I understood it. Also, it was expected for to factories opened slower.

Wave 3 test shots revealed and it will ship in summer.

Another mess up by Super 7. :roflmao Cheetara has the same hips as the awful Filmation Teela. Super 7 really have a poor record with making female action figures.https://i.imgur.com/wDV671j.png

Maybe this is something they will fix after seeing the test shots? Isn’t that the point of the test shots, to see if anything needs tweaked.

I want to believe Brian that the hips will be fixed, but jackalman’s legs weren’t fixed, lion-o’s torso… And then the color issues. If cheetara is a work in progress, and these are supposed to be released within the next 10 weeks… man, i dunno.
That Slythe looks incredible though.

Well That was the fault of the Mattel Factory. Brian told them to fix Jackalman’s legs and the factory did exactly what they did when they made the Mattel Thundercats.
Thats why the legs weren’t corrected like they should have been. Wave three is being made at the Super7 Factory so if Brian says the hips will be fixed we have to take him at his word until we see a final production sample not a test shot of a figure they are still working on.

Should be a good test case! We indeed will learn a lot from Cheetara’s final form (and receipt date).

My only problem with Brian’s previous statements are that he made claims he didn’t have the ability to make good on if it was Mattel in the driver’s seat. Mattel’s factory turned this wave out with two problems. Under super7, mattel’s factory turned them out with five problems. I wish I knew how this whole breakdown in communication and quality control occurred in the same factory between two runs - if I did, i might have more confidence in what Brian says. Hopefully a more direct relationship between super7 and the new factory will mean more clout or better quality control. Mattel’s factories churn out hundreds of thousands of wwe figures with complicated apps and deco every year, what the hey happened with Super7’s stuff and what was Super7’s role in it? I just don’t know enough about toy manufacturing, i suppose. Just very skeptical with how things have gone so far.
