Wave 3 Discussion

Some observations:

Jaga: The resin prototype, as in dozens of MOTUC figures by half the price, has a 4H sculpted cape, if these are “ULTIMATES”, why Super7 don’t include both options, plastic and soft goods? Really the fabric is a downgrade, we have already seen it reflected in Splinter.

Slithe: No extra hands seen at Toy Fair NY?

Cheetara: Corrected colors, good.

Captain Cracker: The dagger holder were a separate accessory in the prototype we saw in Toy Fair NY, now it will be stuck to the figure?

Missed opportunity with Jaga not including the “young” head.

I already put my Preorder in for all four of wave 3 with BBTS. Wave 3 is expected to arrive in April 2021

I’m hyped. The only thing that we don’t see that I really would like to have seen is a twirling staff attached to a hand for Cheetara. Much like Panthro’s twirling nunchuck. I feel like her twirling that staff is iconic. At the very least might have been nice to see a staff with some effect part like lightning or something else she used in the show. But it’s cool she looks great. I’m just dreaming out loud haha.

I’m really disappointed that Jaga’s cape has been changed to a soft goods cape. I much prefer sculpted capes. Other than that they look great.

They still haven’t fixed Cheetara’s face sculpt and corrected the size and shape of her eyes.
Captain Cracker is disappointing looking.
Jaga’s proportoions look odd.
Slithe looks the best of the bunch.
Really glad I didn’t pre-order the other figures and have no more interest in purchasing any of the Super 7 figures.

They are keeping with the Soft goods theme because a company is Making High Quality Fabric Capes & robes for these. That’s all the company does you should visit their sight They do Custom High Quality for Marvel Figures too. Jaga’s cape will be attached to him that’s why they can’t offer both versions. Even the original LJN Jaga Had a soft goods cape

So if you are not buying these and have no interest in them, then why don’t you keep your word that you stated months ago that you weren’t going to comment any more on Super7’s Thundercats line.

The dagger holder were a separate because at the time it wasn’t painted and it wasn’t placed on the figure yet. Now we are seeing a more complete painted Captain Cracker. The belt and Dagger are now painted just like Cheetara’s accessories are all now painted and Jaga’s accessories are now painted. Slithe may still come with extra hands because Every figure has, they just may not have been shown and not listed, but I bet he will come with them.

Do you hold Brian and Super 7 to the same standard of keeping their word?
Do you quote Brian and Super 7 and remind them how they have taken customers money, failed to deliver products on time and bait and switched products?
Perhaps you should do that instead of mentioning my previous comment. ;):laugh

I know, but they don’t mention the belt and the dagger holder in the accessories list, that’s why I ask if they stuck it to the figure, I hope not.
It would be a shame if they cut off Slithe’s extra hands, that is something characteristic of the “Ultimates”, if not, why name them like this if there were figures with cost cuts.

What they did to Splinter was a total disrespect.

Cheetara looks awesome and my most wanted for the whole line.

And Slithe is a masterpiece.

Great job so far Super7 and 4HM.[emoji106]

I think they look great! Thrilled to get Capt. Cracker so soon. Pre-ordered all 4 from Super 7’s website.

At about 25 seconds into this video, Bryan mentions they are working on an “old man Jaga head”. Since both heads they have now are old Jaga, could he have meant young Jaga?

I doubt it, I think he refers to this head:

Bad decision, the body doesn’t correspond, if it included a young head I would buy a second figure.

You really think so? He was on screen for a matter of seconds and isn’t that much different from regular Jaga. I hope it’s as I thought and he meant a young head.

All these figures look great, I am very happy to get them. My only complaint is the price tag, at $45 (USD) each plus shipping it works out to be about $65-$75 (CAD) a figure depending on the exchange rate. Obviously i am going to buy one of each figure, but if they lowered the price point even a little bit i bet more people would buy 2 of each figure.

STOP GOUGING SUPER 7, LOWER YOUR PRICES!
:tygra:

Well smaller company, smaller production runs, and the tarifs and what not all figure into that price don’t it? Not defending them - I hate the price too lol.

Personally I’d much rather get a sculpted cape than an old man Jaga head.
Plus I see people pointing out that the fabric cape wont look good on the translucent spirit of Jaga figure.
They’ll probably get three figures out the tool as they’ll inevitably do vintage toy repaint as well, so definitely worth going the extra mile and spending the money on tooling the awesome sculpted cape.
