So Mumm-Ra’s bandages are fully removable? It wouldn’t be easy to repaint him if it’s not removable.

The bandages are attached in several places but it’s possible to get them away from the body.

I use Tamiya paints. The main technique is to remove material at the points where there might be paint rub later to try and stop that. Also a good satin clear coat at the end.

Decided I couldn’t keep Mumm Ra and Grune stock, so I cracked the paints out.

Mumm-Ra repainted and neck peg extended. Material removed at the shoulder so he can raise his arms properly. Material removed at all rub points to prevent wear.

Grune repainted yellow areas and rear armour plates, legs fixed.

How did you extend the neck peg?
What did you do to Grun’s legs? I still see those ball joints.

Thanks. The legs are actually as high up as they’ll go now. He’s arching his back a bit in the photo so you can see them but straight on they’re not visible. I removed quite a lot of material and made new lower sockets for the thighs.

I made the neck peg higher by getting the original out, then I drilled into the torso and added a peg, then mounted the original peg on top. It worked but I wouldn’t recommend it. To do it again I’d. Just cut the original off and go from there. Getting the torso open is a waste of time really.

Checking back the interval of Super7 and EE/BBTS shipping of Wave 4. S7 started shipping notif around March 10, EE/BBTS notif around March 23.

So I’m going to assume that if S7 put out the Wave 2 shipping notifs yesterday or 2 days ago, EE/BBTS will follow notif after around next week or 2, right?

I’m now going to assume that the colors of the rest of Wave 2 are cel-animation based? Just as how the people have ‘defended’ Tygra’s figure color change.

Tygra’s colours are a step in the right direction and more accurate than the blue was but they still got bits wrong. Pumyra is too dark.

There seem to be no news or announcement as to whether Brian Flynn would address the issues of this wave, or if he does see the issues. But the way I feel it, do you think there’s a probable idea that they may make fixed version 2’s of this wave like they did Wave 1?

If you watched the Cartoon The Ancient Spirits of Evil made Mumm-Ra more powerful so his reflection no longer did anything to him.

XF-23 by Tamiya, just as it is. I’ll always mix a custom colour if I can’t get a good match but this was so close to my animation cel of Mumm-Ra I just used as is. All done with a brush, I didn’t even prime it, just gave the figure a good wash with soapy water. To remove the material at the joints I used a dremel with a round engraving/ carving bit. The shoulders I cut some away with a scalpel to sort out the arm mobility. It’s frustrating that he can barely raise his arms but removing material doesn’t change the look at all since the bandages cover it. They should have realised this in production.

BBTS gets theirs Drop shipped Directly from the factory and in this case its two different factories. I spoke to BBTS customer service and was told they only received half of their Allotment for wave 4 and none of wave 2 yet and have Filled customers Preorders with first half of wave 4 that they got. when they get rest of wave 4 they will finish filling remaining customer preorders.
Mattels Factory has yet to ship BBTS their allotment of wave 2.
I haven’t received mine either and I have both waves preordered.

No clue. Its Up to BBTS to contact the manufacturer and find out where their order is. Even Super7 told me BBTS gets their orders drop shipped direct from the factory.

I bought the wave, but not as a set. As time passed, I ended up ordering all of them. Don’t know if it’s the same deal for you.
