Just noticed. Cheetara’s isn’t any bigger than the Twin’s emblems.
That might be right. But considering his two-tippedm whip is the magical one, I don’t know if Panthro would be able to give him a whip which enables him to turn invisible.
BTW, when he turned invisible in the fight with the other Thunderians, I don’t remember him wrapping the whip around him. Did he? I think he just cracked it.

I could be wrong though, their voices are similar.
He cracked his whip. Perhaps, it was just a ‘back off’ move so they wouldn’t tackle him. I’m guessing the invisibility is a trick Jaga taught him…the way all the Clerics can manage the superspeed.
Well, to be fair, Lion-O just had a very bad day! Seeing both your father and your mentor murdered in front of you will probably not leave you a happy camper. It actually made me like him even more, as we’re seeing he’s a three-dimensional character who’s not always going to act heroic 24-7. He’s flawed and is prone to the same frailties we all have. I love it!
The kittens just won me over with their mewing!
Never before have I ever seen them so adorable! Again, it’s little things like this that are making me fall in love with and actually care about these characters! Which is something I can’t really say about the old show.
And is it just me? Or does the sand ship and that octopus-thingy give you flashbacks of Jabba’s sail barge and the Sarlacc at the Great Pit of Carkoon in Return of the Jedi? I kept thinking of Threepio’s line, “There you will find a new definition of pain and suffering as you are slowly digested over the course of a thousand years!”
I very seriously doubt that.
They kept calling the Thunderian civilization an empire. That evokes a very large piece of land. I doubt Thundera was a mere city-state. They probably had a lot of pieces of land outside, for example, that were used for farming and other natural resources. Outlying provinces, if you will. Don’t forget what one of the captured lizards told Lion-O: “You control the best lands and resources.”
But that theory opens a new can of worms. Are they still around, or did Grune, Slythe, and Mumm-Ra conquer other territories first and leave nobody to report it?
From the first clip it almost seems that Lion-O and Tygra changed roles, I was expecting Tygra to be the one against the idea of the kittens joining them and Lion-O to agree at first but then change his mind.
I guess it’s a bit understandable, Tygra and his father were always telling him that he had his head in the clouds and that he needed to be more mature and after what happened, well here’s Lion-O being serious and totally focused on revenge.
But even though his reaction is a bit justified I hope that they won’t be changing his personality according to the situation in every episode (I’m sure he will learn something about revenge from that captain).
I liked his personality in the first two episodes and of course I want to see character development for him and all the other characters, but what I saw in that video was a radical change from how he was in the premier IMO.
There’s got to be other survivors. He can’t rebuild his kingdom with only 6 people.

I don’t think it was all that radical of a change. Every time you see him rescue someone or focus on something (like the race) you saw him get very serious. And right now he’s pretty darn focused.
Lion-O’s an ass. I don’t care if he lost his dad just now. The entire kingdom is gone. And those kids have no one.
I’m surprised at Tygra’s apparent compassion for them.
Way to turn the tables. xD
Episode seems fun.
Makes you wonder if they’re setting it up for Tygra to break ranks when Lion-O tries to dump them off at the nearest town.
Remember the pic that looks like Lion-O and Cheetara had just in to fray and Tygra looked beat to hell with the kittens huddled together?
Don’t think the kids look like they would need someone. They seem like they could make it on their own to Eldorra!

Yeah I know he can be really serious when it’s needed but he was not being serious here, he was acting like a jerk with two kittens.
This, like I said it’s like if Tygra and Lion-O exchanged personalities. 
Anyway, I just hope he returns to be more like how he acted in the premier in the following episodes.
I’m sure they are doing the Ahab-esque episode for that reason, after Lion-O sees where that mentality leads I’m sure he will chill. If not, Panthro will be along shortly to smack him if he steps out of line.
I’m pretty sure Lion-O was vindicated for being so tolerant of the lizards when one of them gave him the key to his cell. It’s clear Grune’s treachery resulted in the destruction of his kingdom and the death of his father. If anything, he should be more self-conscious about hiding the Sword of Omens vision from everyone until it was too late than being merciful to the lizards that helped him save the day.
Ok, now that I’m not stuck with my cell phone for access and was able to watch the video on my pc rather than the small screen of my phone.

I didn’t really find the mewing to be cute but I didn’t find it obnoxious either. For me, the cutest moments were 1) Wilykat’s expression to Kit after Lion-O initially snubbed them and 2) Wilykit’s, “Pleeeease?”

As was mentioned before, we now know that Panthro does not make the armor for Tygra and Lion-O. They leave their home with it on. And the red circles either do not mean ThunderCats or the kids found them and put them on - kid nobles clothing perhaps? Hard to say. Clearly the adult Cats didn’t care so I’m guessing they don’t have the same meaning as the original series.

Lion-O is obviously distracted and angry, but whoever made the point made a good one - Lion-O was very concerned about the treatment of the lizards, but here are two children alone with no one to look after them with their enemies about and he doesn’t think twice about leaving them to fend for themselves? Is Lion-O really that immature?
I LOVED Tygra’s compassion and relatability with the kids. I doubt he’ll form an exceptionally strong bond with them, but I think this is further proof of why he was the people’s choice to be Lord of the ThunderCats. He has people skills and he has maturity. The only problem I had with Tygra in this is that he didn’t stand up to Lion-O more. “Sorry kids?!” It was clear that both he and Cheetara felt the same way…

I think they should have stuck up together to insist the kids stay with them, at least until they came by some other of their people they could leave the kids with.
Well Lion-O is their King now. They sorta gotta do what he wants them to. Though I’m sure that’ll rub Tygra the wrong way in the future.
Lion-O is Lord of the ThunderCats now, but Tygra is still his brother and I would expect Tygra to stand up to Lion-O more than that if he felt Lion-O was making a bad or wrong choice.
I think the main differences between when Lion-O defended the dog and the lizards and the way he’s acting towards the Kittens is that 1.) The dog and lizards were in danger, being victimized and helpless, 2.) Kit and Kat seem to more or less be fine already, not starving and 3.) Lion-O wants to focus on his revenge mission. He probably figures that the Kittens really are able to take care of themselves.
I think Lion-O mainly takes issue with injustice. His first priority is to set things right and get Thundera back, and he does that through fighting. Lion-O can’t really help Kit and Kat because there’s nothing for him to fight, yet. I think that they’ll run across the lizards, putting the Kittens in danger, and THEN Lion-O will defend them and let them join. Kit and Kat will probably offically be with the 'Cats by the end of the episode.
