They still seem to care about the NS more than CN does. By a lot, actually.
I don’t want to start a back and forth, but Bandai is just executing their requirements for promotion/placement/etc specified under their agreement with WB. Let’s be honest, the entire toy line was a flop, and as soon as they can walk away from it, they will.
And I agree with you, CN gave up on the NS after the third episode.
I agree that the toyline sucked. Apparently (just from hearing others) a lot of their stuff isn’t well made anymore. CN barely ever gave a crap about the show.
Though the Bandai toy line was good, I don’t really feel the show needed one. The original series was toyetic, and that was fine. The new series could’ve been more original.
I might be a year senior to you and I’d watched the OS as a child, so the NS was a fresh and pleasant surprise to me.

Bandai’s Ben 10 line was much better off in that aspect though. The show sucked when it came to Ultimate Alien, but the toyline didn’t. It’s vice versa for TC.
I thought I heard YJ was getting axed.
Apparently not, but I assume it’s not coming back after it finishes up this season. It’s a shame.
That makes it sound like the series is in limbo.
It pretty much is. I don’t think it will last much longer, considering its toy line failed and it gets the same ratings as TCats.
Aw, come on, Hammy. Show your faith. We can still fight to keep “ThunderCats” on the air.

Which is why he became the right-hemispheric brains of the NS. In terms of the drawing-board.
So Dan (according to a few of his comments) is drawing TCats related stuff at “work”…
Yeah, but that doesn’t really mean anything. He also works on personal projects at work (or at least on his lunch break), like his ‘Titans’ short he’s making.
I know, just trying to get some hope around here.
They real messed YJ up with the accelerated wrighting, nice story arc’s but there moving the story to fast, more then likely that why thay did the time jump to buy time as hammy said it not doing well.
TBH, a lot of people are blaming the toy line failing for the lack of success for the show but everyone needs to realize that most toy lines fail TV series or not.

You go to the local store and you see pretty much these -
Transformers, G.I. JOE, Barbies, Marvel (movie and Spider-man mostly), DC (movie stuff but mostly Batman), Star Wars, Power rangers, Generic Action figures, Legos, Girl toys that are not Barbies.
Truth is most toy lines fail because they are not one of the more common ones mentioned above. Sad but true, that and most only last while their tie in(movies like tron) stay relevant. If a show is designed around a toy line it is destined to struggle and that’s just the truth.
Now for YJ, I doubt it is in trouble. has a very large following and DC has a history of keeping quality shows on air for extended periods of time.
Maybe the “ThunderCats” fan comic that will eventually happen on the forums can incorporate some of the Dan Norton style.
I would so love for that! I’m not big on character drawings but I’m pretty off the wall on landscapes and writing!
Hahaha, no hard feelings, but don’t flatter yourself - cause I’m going to be really honest but I have the itching feeling that the youngest of the pride would be me. (or at least in the women’s department)
