believe me, young justice won’t be cancelled. this is dc comics we are talking about and since the launch of their dc nation block, most dc comics shows are safe.
It can still get canceled and be replaced with something else.
True but not likely. YJ is, from all the web talk, going to stay as part of the DC PowerBlock. CN has made it no secret that YJ is going to be the lead-in show for Beware the Batman.
The only DC show that is really in question right now is Green Lantern because of the new imaginaing of the comic character. Many parents weren’t happy with DC’s choice and took it out on the animated series.
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t ThunderCats kind of with DC comics, since Wildstorm comics are affiliated with them?
@T-Cat I did a little bit of digging and at one point it was with Marvel surprisingly. You know who owns Marvel now, y’all? Disney. Strange but true (and irrelevant for what we are discussing.)
The gay Green Lantern is a completely different character from Hal Jordon. Besides the cartoons don’t have to be like the comics. Beware the Batman is a perfect example of that.
And yes ThunderCats is owned by Warner Brothers, who owns DC.

Yeah, I feel like when Disney tries to do action shows for TV, it’s like they hold back a lot of the villains and heroes.
Yeah, you got a point. Then what about the Hub, they seemed to have made Transformers Prime darker than the other transformers shows?
When it comes to taking care of the story and building upon it’s world disney would do good. What disney would do BAD though is the action, evil guys and other stuff.
So a big no in other words.
I’d much rather see it on Nickelodean or the Hub than Disney. Though I doubt it ever would end up on Disney anyway, because TCats is owned by WB (who owns DC Comics), and Disney owns Marvel comics. They’re competing companies.
I agree! I thought Tron: Uprising started off pretty promising but now I don’t here about it as much…reminds me of another series we all love! lol
My choices would be Nickelodeon (new TMNT series looks promising) and The Hub (but then again most of their shows have been cancelled or they air a lot of re-runs).
I think that Disney Channel and Disney XD have tighter restrictions, whereas networks such as Nickelodeon and The Hub have free reign.
Hey guys. Been awhile, I know. I’ve been away, partly because I’ve been busy with school, and partly because I’ve been waiting to hear of something - anything - regarding news of Tcats’ future.
Well, it’s not bad news, but it’s not exactly good news either. Again, it’s kind of vague. But hopefully if Toynewsi is right, we’ll be hearing something concrete very soon.
I don’t know if I like the idea of the show undergoing “retooling” (which would be the more accurate term here, rather than a reboot). When that happens to a show, it hardly ever goes well. It’s happened to a few shows I’ve watched, like Space: 1999, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, The Powers of Matthew Star, The War of the Worlds or seaQuest DSV. Some of you probably either never heard of or remembered these shows. All of them were promising shows that were flagging in the ratings, and it was thought that if they simply re-jiggered the format somewhat, it would attract more viewers. Unfortunately it didn’t do those shows much good, and I consider such efforts to be a kind of hail mary play on the part of the network.
Hopefully whoever they get will be a fan and will respect the work and the storyline Norton had planned-out. Keeping my fingers crossed here.
