We have stressed before how great it would be to see Tygra’s ‘mental’ abilities from the OS being brought back to the NS as well but i’d really like to see as, part of him playing the ‘tough guy’ sometimes, his addictive side to substances and hallucinatory drugs.

Tygra is so easily influenced by external stimuli more than any other ThunderCat, in Episodes "The Garden of Delights"and “Turgamar the Tuska” attest to that.Silky gave Tygra a fruit that mesmerized him and put him under her spell right away and caused him to go as far as stealing the Sword Of Omens and giving it to Mumm-ra! Yet again Tygra in Turmagar the Tuska was hypnotized by the Vampire-Mermaid at the land of Taskania without showing the slightest sign of resistance and aversion.
His susceptibility makes his vulnerable character even more interesting. His character can be further explored and has much depth to bring forward great story lines for the NS

good post. Agree with you 100 % ![]()
Wonder if Tygra would have to give up Cheetara and have to marry a tigress in order to become the Tiger King? ::thoughtful smiley::
That would be interesting to see. Are his feelings for her stronger than his desire to rule ?
I’m looking forward to the preview clips and pics. ![]()
Support Thundercats!
Remember guys, get onto twitter and tweet your support for thundercats! #tygra on saturday morning when the cartoon airs! Let’s try and get tygra trending to show our support!
Great episode for our guy!
We got to know his story, and see him as a baby and as a child. We met his biological father. We got an insight to why he is like he is. And he got his OS bolowhip!
So, what do you think is there in stock for him now? I guess after this they will keep him in the background a little, like “you just had your moment, we’ll focus on the others now”. I hope I’m wrong, but even if not, it doesn’t matter (as long as they don’t keep him in the background for too long ;)).
As I’ve mentioned in a post in another thread, I think Cheetara’s story should be told.
I feel like I want to build an assembly of people and we can all just sit around shooting the breeze and waiting for Cheetara to become relevant.![]()
Seriously, why does she bother showing up? Are they saving her for something big? She’s boring, and it sucks because I really want to like her:(
LOL. We’ve hijacked the Tygra thread for something of the spotted variety:p This probably should have been posted in the Cheetara fan thread. ![]()
agree, it was a good episode for Tygra. I hope more of the Tygra-sceptics start to like him finally.
Maybe it’s just because of my hoping but I don’t think they will keep him in the background, he is just a too important and too great character to stay in the background. And it’s not Tygra’s nature to stay in background. Okay, the next two episodes are about Wilykit and Wilykat and Pumyra, let’s see how much action we’ll get to see of our striped friend.
You have to remember that thundercats is an ensemble show, and like with any ensemble, there will be episodes that focus on one character more than another, but overall, all will shine.
Grrrr…just watched ‘the pit’ and that’s 2 episodes gone by without us seeing Tygra use his new (and guessing imporved) Bolowhip
.
I mean C’MON!!! Just a little flick of the wrist and a little splash of fire where it hits the floor and I’ll b happy!..for now ![]()
Don’t worry, as the season draws to a close I’m sure Tygra will have plenty of opportunities to use it.
Something is telling me that we will see Tygra using his new whip in the next episode.
Something tells me we’re not seeing that much of Tygra in the upcoming eps. You know, he’s already had his episode, and with the show being 95% about Lion-o, and having to distribute the remaining time among the other TCs, I think Tygra will have a somehow major rol or bigger part in about 3 or 4 eps yet.
I’m afraid you are right :(, but I hope you are wrong.
I still think/hope we will see him using his new whip in the next ep.
I think we will. It seems like a good setup for all of them to fight.
Woohoo! Tygra got a lot to do in this ep: he was slef-cofident, he was gallant, he was flirtious, he was fun, he was ****-y, he was tender and he was romantic. And he got to use his new whip (even if not to fight).
I’m rooting for more Tygra-away-from Lion-o and more Cheetygra scenes!
He was really great in this episode, and I think Lion-O was just telling Cheetara “good luck” to show that he didn’t have anything against her anymore.
He’s such a cornball, but I could still appreciate the moments. He’s happy with Cheetara, and so he expressing it. Once every now and then is fine by me.
It was entertaining to watch them go back and forth.
The ****y SOB has a soft romantic side!
